  • Here I have finally created an video with a side-by-side comparison of Liftoff Simulator and TRYP FPV. Both are fantastic tier 1 simulators, but which one is better overall and which may be better for you?
    If you're also interested, I have written an article with more in-depth information.

    This comparison was made two months before a MAJOR UPDATE in TRYP FPV, where the physics has been massively improved, and everything changed. This information is based on the old version. Now, I fully recommend TRYP FPV over Liftoff, and here's a video to help you understand it better. ruclips.net/video/u_ZWCDIwPsk/видео.html

    I'm still convinced GTA V's Quadcopter Redux mod takes the cake when it comes to long range.

      It’s all possible, but I was referring specifically to FPV simulators. Btw, I’ve seen the mod and looks pretty awesome. But I doubt you can use an FPV Remote Controller with it.

      @@fpvon I understand, I just thought it was worth mentioning. You can definitely use a controller via the x360ce program. I've done it for years with my Tango 2. And you can set rates, cam angle and lots of stuff. Lots of guides on YT.

      Oh wow. I didn't know that. That's quite advanced and I'm really surprised.
      Although I haven't played GTA from San Andreas (still, I like to watch videos), I said for years that I have to get GTA V. Now I do have a reason to get it!
      Look how things turned out :)

    i recently got an acer predator helios 16 laptop so ill definitely be downloading tryp today! liftoff is installing right now. haha i also have drl and uncrashed. im an fpv nerd so i just like having lots of sims for more maps and modes and racing etc. just get the best of all of them if you have all of them. and at 10 to 20 bucks each, theyre all worth their price of purchase so i dont mind spending 80 to get all of them. lots of fun to be had on rainy days and snowy winters etc. ill also be flying my micros inside my house but when you want that 5 inch flight feel sometimes you just have to settle for the sim. also great for learning new tricks before trying them out on your real quad. better to crash and perfect it on the sim first and better than not being able to fly when its raining or youre on the move and dont have your gear with you. big W for the sims!

      That’s absolutely fabulous- I also love to practice in simulators as much as I can when I can’t fly just because its risk-free and I can learn so much.
      I also have the above mentioned simulators, and recently I acquired FPV LOGIC which is super great and was given the EreaDrone 2023.
      Also, I strongly recommend to get VelociDrone; that’s surely holding the jewel in terms of physics and drone management

    i think its worth having lift off just to be able to fly bardwells yard haha. do yourself a favor and get both!!! its only 15 bucks, its totally worth it for all the fun youll have and all the practice youll obtain

      That's the utter truth. You can't go wrong with any of them. And by the way, I love Bardwell's yard - I always fly on it - I'm thinking to dedicate him a video "Freestyle on Bardwell's Yard" - 3 hours long!

    Tryp is still in Beta. They will add content and improve existing content in future. I own Tryp and other fpv simulators and Tryp is already my favourite even though the game is still a work in progress.

      But it doesn’t have the DJI FPV drone inside the simulator, only Liftoff

      What configuration do you have? Is it an integrated video card?

    • @fpvon
      @fpvon  10 месяцев назад +1

      Considering that TRYP FPV has a higher requirements than most FPV simulators, I will definitely recommend to have a computer or laptop with dedicated video card, at least. Or a M-series MacBook, as it appears to work just fine.

      Is the controller not recognised in the simulator or doesn't respond well?

    ive tried every drone sim out there, i allways go back to the simplest and cheapest Freerider, the game has 90s graphic but the physics is the best, no floating shit like every other drone sim.

    • @fpvon
      @fpvon  9 месяцев назад +1

      I also have lots of FPV simulators, nearly all of them, including Freerider. Is the only simulator I have not managed to have a good experience and flies differently from other ones. Hehe. I also messed up all these settings and can't seem to optimize it. Do you have some tips for Freerider?

    • @manbolomo
      @manbolomo 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@fpvon lol really!? well i say its the best because i think it feels most realistic, its still far from the real thing. I just used snappy2 or snappy3 and tweaked a little in the other settings, so mostly default. Maybe its because its less arcadey like other sims that makes it feels harder?

    • @fpvon
      @fpvon  9 месяцев назад

      @@manbolomo That could be possible, but afaik, VelociDrone is the most realistic FPV simulator. So many FPV pilots are testing PID and rates in VelociDrone before putting them on a real quad. It's the closest to real flights. So it's Uncrashed FPV.

      @@TreySteez In fact, Uncrashed is one of the top simulators out here. Fantastic graphics, superb physics and drone dynamics, all adjustable, and yet a big update is coming soon. So, definitely, I would definitely recommend Uncrashed. It's one of my main simulators.
