Yeah man, totally. Like I probably spent more on hardware shipping than the simulators, and I'm just a noob. The price you pay for sims is nothing compared to the rest of the kit you have to get. I just bought Liftoff and DRL and practiced for like 20h+ each before even attempting to fly a real quad. One thing to mention though is that if you get a lot of stick-time behind the simulator, it ramps up your expectations. Then it can be a huge let-down once you get to the real deal you gotta travel at least an hour for and hit a weird problem like your VTX signal being borked.
One more that is fun but not the most realistic is Worlds Adrift Island Creator, SyncFPV is one of the devs and he added an FPV mode. You can make some cool environments in it.
Between velocidrone, liftoff, uncrashed and the poor fpv free rider I prefer the last one, when you have a proper settings the physics are perfect, velocidrone feels so floaty, uncrashed too fast movements, even with low rates, but freeriders feels awesome, velocidrone too,

Bought Uncrashed last night: physics are horrible and not at all realistic. Feels like you're flying on the moon. Spent about 2 hours researching settings, messing with gravity and quad settings - small improvements, but not at all close to what flying feels like. Then bought AI Drone Simulator. Graphics are like a 90's video game, boards are extremely small, obstacle's are either non-existent or very sparse. Physics are better than Uncrashed, but not great. Researched and messed with settings like gravity, drag, etc. Small improvements, but still not realistic. The search continues...
I got the DJI fpv controller 2 to learn to fly the DJI Avata befor I buy the drone, which emulator is the best to learn for the avata? I have Liftoff with the DJI FPV package, but I know it is not the same and downloaded a few avata from the workshop, but I want to know from the experts how I can train to not crash my Avata when I get it? Thanks
Any of these sims that works well with a M1 Mac? Also a controller that works with a M1 Mac? I’ve tried researching but can’t seem to find a clear answer.
What if you use a USB RX Dongle? In that case, latency introduced from your TX might be minimal, but how much latency might be introduced at the RX side in that case? AND.... using a 60hz monitor! At 60hz, that translates to 16.666666 ms refresh rate...so latency in the visual feedback might skew experiences as well.
I have compared latency between an OpenTx USB link (QX7) to PC and same QX7 to FrSky Rx connected to F4 FC then FC USB link to PC. The latency was 10-20mS longer on Rx connection compared to the direct USB connection. The measurements were done using a scope to measure delay from a Tx switch to a photodiode against the screen. The overall delay was 60+mS with the direct USB link and around 80mS with the Rx link. Sounds a lot, but don't forget that is effectively the real flying equivalent of Tx to FC plus camera to goggles/monitor, ie it is the total round trip delay.
Hey guysI need some help. Brand new to FPV drones and purchased. Velocidrone but can not get my radio to connect in the sim. I have it calibrated and recognized in windows but will not work in the sim
Maybe a few comments on what type of rig is minimum req'd for the sims like Velocidrone or liftoff. I have those two plus freerider on a 3 yr old fairly decent (but not a gaming) rig and the latency is enough where it doesn't help me - I am better off flying IRL. Wife says get a new PC ... geez ...

I couldn't get Orqa fpv to work with my boxer. It wouldn't recognize the arm switch.
Recommendations for say an Older Laptop? Can’t quite afford one. I think Graphics card in this bad boy is the intel iris
Hello Joshua, I have cinelog35 and I have the dji controller 2. I can't seem to bind both of them. I need your help.
Thanks
I noticed that liftoff is quite floaty. The gravity isn’t accurate . Any chance I can fix this?
what about FPV Logic? i don't why most people don't talk about it
Any of these sims that works well with a M1 Mac? Also a controller that works with a M1 Mac? I’ve tried researching but can’t seem to find a clear answer.
Do you or anyone posting here have suggestions or experience with an FPV Sim for Mac? Thanks!
I just brought the radiomaster tx16s controller need help with buying batteries for it can anyone help me thank you
What if you use a USB RX Dongle?
Drone racing league is the Best by far, ps, xbox, pc all the others don't have reasonable physics so don't waste your money
Hey guysI need some help. Brand new to FPV drones and purchased. Velocidrone but can not get my radio to connect in the sim. I have it calibrated and recognized in windows but will not work in the sim
Take a look at uncrashed‘s new updates. They reworked the whole interface and added Multiplayer.
Ok, im already subscribed, and here's the comment. If you want me to join your Patreon you gonna have to freestyle again!
This probably sounds stupid, but minecraft fpv mod does the job nicely.
Here is yall's comment.
Thanx
Is the bardwell house map available as a file to download? I would like to try to incorporate it into Real Flight 9.5
That closing was far to painful. Please never again.
Why do I have to install third party software before downloading Uncrashed?
Maybe a few comments on what type of rig is minimum req'd for the sims like Velocidrone or liftoff. I have those two plus freerider on a 3 yr old fairly decent (but not a gaming) rig and the latency is enough where it doesn't help me - I am better off flying IRL. Wife says get a new PC ... geez ...
just update your graphics card ;)
@@cablecutter9044 got a recommendation? Maybe under 250 - thatcould drive two 4K monitors?
Question? Drl simulator on Xbox will it teach me to fly my f210 I want to learn before I kill it? Thank you
I my opinion, Lifotoff physics are unrealistic. Drones feel too floaty and way to fast. I prefer Velocidrone to Liftoff.
Dcl the game on ps4 works with my tx16s plugged in if that helps anyone. I got a crap laptop that won’t play sims well.
Nice roundup.
Just a question: is the usb bug happening when you use XSR-SIM dongle?
No. It only affects the USB plug on the radio.
Ha ha you forgot about newest FPV Mincraft mode lol ))))
Thanks for sharing this!
Other less known simulators which deserve to be tried are FlowState (extremely realistic for racing and free on Steam, but it is still quite basic) and Real Drone Simulator, another free sim by Hungarian developers.
I love Flowstate, looks like analog feed and very realistic "dirty prop" feel.!
Good name too 🤣
What's the best one for iPad, my computer is ancient and even velicidrone doesn't play well
And then liftoff drops an update🤷🏽♂️😅🤦🏽♂️
Are there any decent simulators for an m1 MacBook air 2020?
What laptop do I need my radio arrives soon an I wanna getting some training in liftoff. I just don’t wanna have a computer that don’t run the software properly
What’s wrong with blunty’s drones?
*VELOCIDRONE* best ever!!!
Dumb question but a total noob on sims. What are you guys using as a controller for any of the applications? I used to use Flight Sim that was pretty expensive but also came with a controller you had to plug into your PC so you could learn how to fly a Helicopter using a controller similar to a real controller you would be using to fly. I'm definitely missing an important aspect here. Thanks in advance....
@@davidgrubb354 Any opentx controller you can connect to pc for sim.
next time I play Grand Theft Auto I'm gonna try to shoot down your drones! ; )
cool but what controller do i use to play on these? anyone from the uk here? im interested in getting into fpv drones and want to get a long range fpv drone. i have flown before so know how to fly, just need to brush up
Liftoff for ps4 is kind of junk. No way to fly acro comfortable
Best fpv drone combat warfare game simulator?
