I didn't make any consecutive gates until several days of hard practicing. What you show is quite impressive for a fresh newbee, it's almost hard to believe.
Depends on the new pilot. I had no problems after an hour or so of messing in a drone simulator on steam. Im not freestyle pro, but I had better control than this guy had. Difference being, Ive had 30+ years of experience playing video games among other things that lend itself to eye hand coordination and the like.
i did a 20min coaching with my brother in liftoff, and id let him fly my nazgul 6s after, he flew fine, nothing crazy, but im 100% sure he could take it around a football field and not crash, its not that hard
Love the coaching, I've had a tone of issues with turning fast (and drifting), but your comments made sense so it's back to the SIM. Thanks for the upload 🙂
I spent about 7 hours in simulator before the first flight. Then I flew about 4 hours on the real drone. Then I came back in simulator to learn tricks for a 2 hours. And now I am preparing for my first Split S. 4 hours is a tough time for beginner in fpv.
6:35 instantly noticed one huge difference with the sim. In the sim he flew with like 25-30 pitch angle on the cam. Here, it's at like 5-10 degrees. That's why he didnt move forward at all, becuase in the sim he never had to pitch forward to accelerate. I think the main thing that helps a beginner, is the rates. Limit the rates and put some heavy expo on it. That's what let me finish races in small gates in the sim after just 1 hour (from complete noob). First 30min was hell. Realized i could limit rates and set expo curves. Instantly flyable. ESPECIALLY on the throttle stick. There is no use or reason for a beginner to have 40% power at barely any stick movement. It makes no sense to put someone through 800 rate controls as a beginner. You dont need it, and you dont want it. It only hurts. You cant really improve fast either if you have no way to control the drone. Better to be smooth an accurate first, then gradually up the power.
I think that's pretty impressive you're flying even though like you were doing big gates I thought I was really good for 5 hours of flying good job this is a cool ass video thanks
Aw dude, Mantis was my first FPV store I went to years ago when I was first getting into it 3 and a half years ago. Due to unforeseen circumstances had to put it down for a while. Finally booted back the sim and I’ll be buying my first drone this week! :) Maybe we will end up flying together someday brother!
For someone who has never touched a drone.. would LiftOff simulator be the best tool for learning the basics? VelociDrone's Lil Bastard, DJI Drone Simulator? What about the controller? Tbs Tango 2 pro? What physical drone would be a good starter? I'm interested in 1) FPV and free-style / flippy-flops 2) Autonomous Flying (Waypoint, Lua scripting, Return-To-Home) 3) Follow-Me (Sport-Tracking) and Obstacle Avoidance And how does a custom DIY build compare to the features/performance of commercial offerings with proprietary firmware..like the Eachine E520S , Skydio2+, or Mavic Air 2S ?
Im using liftoff and it is pretty impresive, if you don't wanna spend 1000€/$ on your first drone kit, start with analog drones and goggles, i also would recommend you to build your own drone if possible. I am a noob too
Just subscribe, starting to get into drone and all. About to purchases my first one to. FPV will be for later. but got damn love watching you're vids. those Mantis drone look insane.
It baffles me how durable these quads are. The first time I crashed mine, I just got tangled in a small branch but it broke 3/4 of my props. I then realized that it was because I didn't disarm quick enough. I've since bound my disarm button to the controller in the simulator and have been training my reflex with disarming. I've since had a few decent crashes and that quad doesn't have a scratch on it. It did lose a couple screws but I'm assuming they were loose already. I bought replacements and loctighted them all in place lol
YES! If you are a beginner DO NOT put on your GoPro unless you are VERY confident. I know the urge to get good quality footage, but I know from experience the pains of hurt gopros
Yo im a descent pilot but have no clue what kind of gear to buy. I need to get into 4k smooth edits for commercial events, sports and other applications
No shot hes flying like that after 4 hours. He had some sort of prior training. Essentially this is a balancing skill and you can not just learn that in one day. I call fake
He said that he had the controller to test and play with it before they did the video. I think he said it was the day before he gave it to him to let him test out.
Nah it's possible. I haven't flown a drone IRL but I played the sim hes using here for about an hour and got it down quickly and that's only because I play a lot of video games, and also, ganes that have helicopter, such as battlefield, run on the same controls, which I have many many many hours on. Point is, if the sim is anything like real life flying, then it seems about normal to me.
@@andyescapesyes brother, an entire playlist with basic flight and some basic tricks would be soo helpful for newbies like me. Great video too, keep making more non stop 🎉W
saying FPC is extremely hard is an overstatement i think. i learned how to fly and do some freestyle in 12 hours of tryp (simulator). never flew in real life but ill come back to this comment once i did. its really not that hard till now.
What's best for a right hand person? A throttle on left or right ? I'm trying to learn to fly but trying to throttle and turn with same gimble is near impossible 😢 so annoying I feel like I'll never get it right .

It looks like Liftoff. Other good sims are Velocidrone and TrypFPV. The simpler the better.
exactly, ive been playing for an hour and cant even turn.
slowly getting into fpv drones, this was a very entertaining video!
Without the coaching there's no way this would've happened in 4 hours 😂
That's true, you're so lucky flying 5 inch digital for the first time 😂👍🏻😁
no!!! i made it, with sim about 5 hours, i already flight with my 6" drones dude..
even still not smooth, but i'm still fly and not crash 😅
Absolutely me, I’ve been in the aimulator for a couple hours and still can’t manage to control the drone in manually 😢😢

I got too excited when he nailed that first split s with the real drone xD
How to setup the controller in simulator? Can you give me the explanation? thanks

Nice flying Sascha!
FPV is amazing!
Enjoy!
If I buy that drone will I have to build it or will it be pre built?

9:46 the way he lowered his head lol
I really want the mini 3 pro from dji but this fpv stuff is superrrrr tempting
different purposes
No…! This dude so smart, he learn so fast❤❤❤ i bet if he can spend a week of flying, he can do it more smooth
I have a DJI Mini 4 pro RC 2 controller. Can I use that on these Sims?
Bro that was dope! I'm excited to get in to fpv :D. what is the sim and the controller you got?
What drone do you recommend for begging
YES! If you are a beginner DO NOT put on your GoPro unless you are VERY confident. I know the urge to get good quality footage, but I know from experience the pains of hurt gopros
Awesome video!! What simulator did you use for this?
This is the liftoff simulator
Yo im a descent pilot but have no clue what kind of gear to buy. I need to get into 4k smooth edits for commercial events, sports and other applications
mate check out my guide it has everything you need to get the best gear, to start gopro 11 or action 4?
Great job Sasha! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
When dont get past the audition and you see the final movie
can you share your drone settings in the simulator as well? 😅
does anyone know a workaround to practice fpv with dji mini 2 remote?
Hey great video! Just a question. What flying mode do you recommend to use for first practicing flying the drone in the simulator?
grab my fpv guide and it has everything including a video sim guide, but hop in a race!!!
What is the name of the fpv simulator?? Great video

Looks like fun.
Hey man, i'm trying to build my own track on Lift off and can't seem to place bigger goal posts on the edited track... any assistance?
i just use the default maps they have huge gates, i wouldn’t waste my time 😅 never built a map
@@andyescapes really? I must be doing something wrong because all the gates are super small… wierd
@@davidxing5988 some of them are definitely tiny but some other maps do have huge ones
@@andyescapes thanks for your tips! I’ve relied on your RUclips videos in starting FPV. 🙏
First time I saw him doin that split s my toes started tingling 😂
I need this type of friend 😂😂😂
I don't know any of you guys but man I got anxiety when he got in the air 😂 good video
Haha nice one guys. ✌🏼
thanks mate!!
Way to go, got a good coach there.

Nice job Bro 👍🏼💪🏽
What do you think about the dji avata?

@@andyescapes in dont have so where to find those? Thx for the quick answer btw! Greetings from europe

Nice training 👍
Hahaha solid content - lots of genuine laughs throughout the vid
Nice!
Simulator Name please??
Liftoff
Where can i get the app for the practice one
it’s called lift off costs like 30 bucks on steam

@@0styleexactly right.
It’s turns life into a game
Try out the real thing after 4 hours of sim and i t was pretty good, you only need the click that makes you understand how to fly
100 hrs in sim before first flight looooool!
All an All pretty good. Id say rather few people could have done that in such a small time.
Stunning ungrateful face for someone who has a dedicated coach and a completely free drone at his disposal to try such an experience.
congrats! you make another man getting poor... 😂😂

Cool! We need step-by-step Liftoff tutorial :)

Nice!!!
If we buy this drone does it come with the goggles?
nope haha
You should do online FPV coaching. I can be your first customer
Is that Malcom in the middle? 😂
you can tell someone is begginer when he keeps turning head around while flying 😂
I can't believe he could learn in four hours.

use default mode 2. throttle left stick. or for some pilots mode 4 works wich i run :)
Im right handed, i reccomend mode 2 because thats what most of the world uses and it feels comfortable for me
@Chirp FPV thanks .
color grading link busted
they say you must be one with the drone. Mans ducks irl to go under something >
That was his first time flying in liftoff? Took me like an hour to learn how to hover without crashing
no he had maybe four hours by himself gave him the controller night before haha
