Nothing is perfect, especially Wrestling Empire.
It needs better menus, a multilayer career, more moves, etc.
Wrestling Empire is fun as fuck but in reality it's a 7/10 at best if you look past the jank

I don't know if it's possible, but I'd love to see a wrestling game where the idea was not to win the match, but to work with the opponent to get the right result with the most exciting match possible. You'd need to have controls to sell moves for example and a way to switch between the heel heat and the comeback, or selling for a hot tag... Everything wrestling game is just a beat-em-up in wrestling clothes, I'd love to see something try to deal with what pro-wrestling really is
@@neilbiggs1353 yes! That’d be spectacular! Fire Pro Wrestling World is the only game I’ve played that comes close to caring about the match. In the career mode, you’re instructed on how to take bumps to build the match’s rating. It’s a pretty good game, I recommend it if you haven’t tried it yet. 2D graphics though if that turns you off
Ultra Pro Wrestling is literally the best game out of this bunch and was what AEW Fight Forever was supposed to be. The game looks incredible as if it was made by the guys who made No Mercy back in the day. Im buying this day one!

@@2Good2BeTrue45 I am also most excited for UPW. I do actually like AEW FF, but it was severely lacking in features, especially at release. UPW looks to be paced a tick slower that FF, but otherwise I can see them playing similarly-which is a good thing! No Mercy is my favorite game to this day, I can’t wait!
The Wrestling Code hopefully drops more news soon.
The animations are ripped from AKI's games, which is probably why everyone gets that feeling. Cool product though

The World was kind of lacking in features as well, and that was a Sony PS1 game, yet it was also the best wrestling game on that system besides Fire Pro Wrestling G, so it is unfair to criticize AEW: Fight Forever for that reason. Also, they could easily make updates to add new wrestlers, weapons, modes, theme songs, entrances, and such as well. I mean, if Castle Crashers, of all things, is getting an update literally 16 years after it was made, then I can hope for similar updates for AEW: Fight Forever as well.
@@NocturnalXSNothing is “ripped” - each and every animation was painstakingly redrawn by hand over thousands of hours to accurately match those classic titles. It was a slow but satisfying process! 🎉
Excited for The Wrestling Code, but the lack of updates other than roster additions has me worried. It’s a smaller company and they signing a LOT of wrestlers. Worried they’ll either run out of money and have to shut down or all the money will go to the roster and nothing else.
That's definitely a concern. Gotta just hope for the best I guess. Would be a shame to see it fold.

Yup even opening video animations are the same. The taunts, the "staredown after collision". ALL has been ripped off from an N64 game called Virtual Pro Wrestling 2. It never came out in USA. @@dmitrijbiryukoff7738what a dumb statement. WWF No Mercy is always superior than VPW2. Better AI, better storyline mode, better graphic, better weapon system, match type and backstage mode.
The footage is from the first video they released. The graphics look completely different now though.

I always loved DDP’s cutter. I hope we get variations like a reverse cutter, or a super cutter off the top rope!

All these really coming out in 2024? We're halfway through the year already.
Well two are in Early Access mode already, one has been silent since April, and one has given Q4 2024 as the targeted release date and seems to be sticking to that. It’s a crazy time for wrestling games, I love it.
UPW will have a demo out sometime this quarter. It will release in 2025

I'm a little bit concerned that every animation in Ultra Pro wrestling looks like it was literally lifted straight out of the N64 WWE games. I hope that's not the case and they're just doing that for now until they can make all their own animations.

All the AKI animations + brand new ones will be included. There’s a DLC roster of over 70+ wrestlers - most of which have moves that have never appeared on those classic N64 games 🎉
What is the name
AEW FF is also inspired by AKI wrestling games well as HCTP. How did that reception turn out? It doesn’t always translate.
HCTP is often cited as the greatest wrestling game ever made, so I don’t see your point there. As for FF, sure, it was a lackluster release lacking features, but I personally quite enjoyed the gameplay.
Gameplay wise AEW FF is great
I would rather ultra pro, and wrestling code take at least another year in development. They both look like they need work. Especially the Wrestling Code. That in ring stuff looked bad.

The problem with wrestling games is that the majority of the consumers are a bunch of ignorant, entitled & disgruntled WWE 2K fan's that think other wrestling games are supposed to copy their format, modes and match types,story mode etc & they simply can't accept a game for what it is and then you have the fanboy RUclips channels that do nothing but Bash any and everything that isn't WWE & literally tell all of the sheep out there to not buy whatever game it is because they think that they have the answers for everyone & everything 😉...Instead of just playing games and having fun people would rather sulk like a bunch of spoiled big mouth brats and talk a bunch of toxic negative, nonsensical garbage 🗑...On another note great videos 📹...👍🏾
You’re not wrong, it can get pretty toxic online. I’m just glad we have so many different wrestling games now, there’s something for everyone. I like AEW Fighr Forever’s gameplay, I like WWE 2K’s creation suite, I like the silliness of Wrestling Empire. If you don’t like one game, just move on to the next.

the ragdoll in casual pro wrestling is really bad. there's nothing fun about seeing ugly animations that look really unnatural. maybe if it were gta level of physics it'd be fun.

I already have Fire Pro Wrestling Returns on PS2, Fire Pro Wrestling World on PS4 and physical copies of both Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 and WWF No Mercy...these games cannot hold up to those.

Between Wrestling Empire, and 2K24 - none of these have a real place in the ring, so to speak.
Fight Gorever could've been decent, if it wasn't being published by a bunch of idiots that have no idea what they're doing. The core gameplay was great, the game just lacked content hard. I'm hoping we eventually see a sequel with all the complaints addressed and a single season pass, not 4 over a year.
