You buy one of these and you can feel guilt feel playing of the included games elsewhere especially the snes which can last you months to years depending what you you like playing or even trying out for the first time

Nintendo is going to do an N64 mini the very moment the technology becomes cheap enough to nickel & dime, with Good performance, whilst still charging a PREMIUM price. The tech just isn't there yet.

@Gametester110-qf8vs to be far though it's the most versatile of three in terms of value and that's because of both zero load times and great split screen multi-player

@@jug-a-nutstherandomizertom2598 The thing is, Nintendo NEVER sells hardware at a loss. They always like to be able to get their hands on affordable, cheap tech, that works well and they can charge a premium for with $profit$ for every unit sold. The El-cheapo Chinese SoC's just hav'nt reached that level of power yet. But once they do, Nintendo will be all for the N64 mini.

I remember getting the NES Classic one first and loving it. There was a shortage but for whatever reason I was able to get one through Amazon. The SNES definitely had a shortage but I slept outside to get one at Best Buy and as I drove home in the morning I stopped by a GameStop to see if I could get one more for my buddy. I couldn't even get in the door cause the line for then SNES one went all around the building. The store likely only had so many obviously but I still go in line and waited. When I made it in I was like the 14th person in line and the GameStop staff said... "ok, people, everyone behind the guy in the blue shirt we're out of them so no more after him" the guy was like 10th in line. Everyone then left sad except me. I waited and then when I finally go upfront I asked for the SNES one and they said they may have a couple left and I was able to get one. Lol. I gave it to my buddy and he loved it. It was hard to get one for weeks after that but it was cool my buddy and I had one. 👍

I would have gone for an N64 and Gamecube mini as well, but I guess they do not want to do this because they want you to rent classic games on the Switch instead. I still have hope that maybe we will get a Sega Dreamcast or Saturn mini one day.

I missed out on the first release of the NES mini and there was no way I was paying scalper prices. I did get one when they re released them in 2018 though, and I caught the mini console collecting bug from that moment. I've got a NES mini, SNES mini, PS1 mini, Neo Geo mini, Mega Drive mini 1 and 2, C64 mini, A500 mini and a PC Engine mini. I can't believe the prices of the Nintendo minis now - looking at over £200 a piece on Amazon! The Mega Drive minis have equally as crazy value. I'm glad I have them, they are going to be my retirement fund if they keep on rising in value 😂

If Nintendo puts out a mini, they'll lose money. Why? It's because retro consoles are the elephant in the room now. Many people have been buying retro consoles that has all of the games (especially all of the Nintendo games) that one would ever want to play. Plus, retro consoles have all or nearly all of the games on other consoles including Sega Genesis, TurboGraphic, PlayStation 1, etc. all on ONE device! Thus, why would one want to buy just a Nintendo Mini when there are GREAT emulation consoles that have numbers like 60,000 plus games that WORK??? I wouldn't buy one. Thus, Nintendo would have to compete with those and so would Sega and other companies who would put out a mini system in 2024. It would be too little too late with those out. Plus, those consoles come from a country like China where it's legal to sell pirated stuff. I used to live there and one could buy a ton of pirated stuff that works damn good!

When they’re not being used to run retro software, they could maybe be utilized for other purposes in modern games?
