I am 46 and have been doing step aerobics for maybe 2 years but I’d been doing some strength training for 2 years before that. I could do intermediate to advanced but I’ve had some medical setbacks recently and started back with basic without a step. I appreciate that you cover all fitness levels and the variety in your workouts. I know I’ll get back to my previous fitness levels but for now, I need to listen to my body and take it at a slower pace and lower impact. Thanks for all you do!

This was fun. I’m 66 years old and have been doing step aerobics for over 35 years it is my favorite aerobic exercise and it works my brain too. Bring on basic intermediate or advanced I love them all and it truly does get easier with practice. Think with your feet and it becomes second nature those 8 counts get into your brain!! ❤

Love all your step workouts but I do like doing a shorter basic routine on strength days. And all the cute curls made me smile throughout! I’m 68 & have done step aerobics since Gin Miller invented it!🥰

Following the routine this week, Step DONE! I'm 45 I started doing step in 2004 and continued thru 2009 fairly consistently at a gym 2x a week and fell COMPLEATLY IN LOVE with it. I had my 1st baby in late 2009 (still did step through out my pregnancy) I went back for a bit after she arrived but eventually stopped the gym membership. Over the next 5 years I had 2 miscarriage's and 2 more babies. I found an old step at a thrift shop and have found & own a few step VHS and DVD's but they were not great. I never loved them. Found you in Oct of 2023 and have been doing your step video's since. I LOVE them just as much if not MORE than gym step! I feel lucky and blessed to have found you and have told so many of my friends about your channel!

Hello from Uruguay! Thank you so much for the step choreographies. I have a lot of trouble with coordination and, obviously, have been avoiding any kind of training that involves this type of skill. However, I've read that activities involving coordination are crucial for maintaining brain health, especially at my age (57). Therefore, I decided to tackle this unfinished business again, something I had tried before but without good results. Your videos let me pause, rewind, and replay any class as many times as I need. Things seem to be changing... and I'm making great progress! 🧡💛💚💙

I’m 54. I did step back in the early 90s but have only been back stepping for the last 6 months or so. My hubby found a step at an estate sale for $1 and was kind of joking when he asked if I wanted it. I was so excited! I found you, Chris, and have not looked back! I love it more now than I did then. Your enthusiasm and encouragement are just the best!! You keep me determined to improve!

I’m 56 and been doing step since around 1992? Many years. Love it! After swimming it’s my favorite cardio!! Menopause has been kicking my ass lately but I’m so happy for these short and not-too-intense workouts when I feel up to it. Did this after work today and was perfect for me. Used a step with one riser and took a water/walking break around 15 minutes in.
I love your encouragement Chris. You never make me feel bad for taking a break when I need to take care of myself instead of pushing needlessly. You’re right exercise should be fun and nothing to get stressed about missing steps, falling behind or struggling with the choreography! Have fun everyone! I’m totally uncoordinated and after all these years of practice can easily follow Chris she’s such an excellent teacher! 👋🇨🇦🥰🏃🏼‍♀️💕💪💕

Hi Chris, I‘m back to leave you a comment.
This was a realy good workout today, not to fast, not to hard, perfect for my sore legs😇(too much via ferrata climbing yesterday)
So you asked us to tell you about how old we are and how long we are doing steps. Well, I‘m 39 years old and I‘m doing step classes about 15 or 16 years (not continuous, cause beeing pregnant for twice and beeing a mommy doesn‘t come easy to me). In October 2023 I found your RUclips channel and now I belief in warm-up, cardio, strengh and stretch💪🧘‍♀️ Thank you so much for all the things you give, it feels so good to me❤️

I was totally a cardio queen, now love to do strength training! We called ourselves the “step sisters” our instructor was a trained dancer so lots of fun moves. I'm turning 65 in October. I used to teach step in the late 90s and early 2000's. However, taking time to raise two boys took my focus off my fitness. I discovered Chris 's channel in 2022 and slowly started my return to fitness. I purposely stayed away from step. I was afraid that I would no longer love my old friend. Finally, I decided to start back. I ordered a new step from Amazon and looked at it for about a week, avoiding it and telling myself, "maybe tomorrow ". Finally, I decided to go for it. It was not love at first step, but I have kept at it. I 'm not sure if I will ever be an advanced stepper who breezes through the Saturday classes, but I 'm ok with that! I just want to have fun, sweat, and enjoy another form of staying young at heart❤ Thanks again Chris for sharing your gifts with us !

I'm 59 will be 60 in a few months and I've been doing step for a year usually twice a week. I weight train 5 days a week and have been doing that for 16 years as well as stretching and mobility and I have to say it changed my life. I have osteoarthritis and Ehlers Danlos Sydrome and I don't think I'd be as healthy and mobile as I am if I didn't do these things. You're never too old to do some kind of exercise and as the years roll along you just have to learn to adapt and adjust your routine.
Thank you so much for all of your classes, I love them!!

I'm 68 years old. I started stepping 12 years ago when my athletic club had a contest for people to try new classes. I was intimated by the step class, but even with stopping to get my bearings, I worked up a sweat and realized this was a fabulous workout program. Each week I got comfortable with a new routine (such as rocking horse) and eventually was able to follow the calls without watching the instructor. I've been doing step at least twice a week ever since. I found cdorner when the world shut down and am now a big fan. I did this short class today so that I could follow it with strength training, got to work on those bones as they are getting thin. Thank you Chris.

I apologize for long post. I started teaching in '87. Became the one of 3 certifield in my state in Step Aerobicsim '90. Taught 2 classes a day for 5 days. Ran a health club teaching 1x a day, certified personal trainer and substituted. Took a break in '95 to run a marathon. Left step and ran/walked. Total walking in 2007, just walking. Now at 68 I'm trying to gain back some cardio and strength and your class is the first instructor that steps to the beat and calls instruction like I did. So easy to follow you. Great job!

Hi Christina 😊 I'm from Germany and I'm 53 years old. I love your workout and would like to get fitter again. I am a physical therapist and it's so important to do sport. Many years ago I did Stepaerobics regularly and now I'm starting again. You are a great trainer! Thank you! 😊

I am 60; soon to be 61 in August. I started step in 2021 when I couldn't get outside to walk as much due to taking care of my bedridden adult daughter who has TBI. I would consider myself to be up to intermediate in step. I cannot seem to move onto advanced. I usually cannot focus enough to learn advanced moves and cannot commit to hour long workouts. I find 30-40 min workouts to be best for me since I cannot spend anymore than that at a time due to taking care of my daughter. You are my best hope of learning advanced step since you are such a great instructor. I liked this step workout, because it was short, easy and fun. I combined it with a 25 min lower body workout which I did at a separate time the same day. Thanks for all your hard work!

I am 59 years old and I started doing basic step about three years ago. Chris has been so instrumental towards my progression to intermediate and then advanced step. And yes, I rolled my eyes when she would lecture about strength. At first. Let me tell you, she's right. Strength training is vital to everyone no matter their age. Thank you Chris! ❤

Hello, have been doing your workouts for a couple of months now after recently being diagnosed with osteoporosis. I am 67 years old, female and considered myself to be very fit weighing only 50kg and standing 155cm tall and have been a vegetarian for around 40 years. I have been dancing since I was 7 years old firstly tap dancing & ballet and then moved on to Rollerdancing in my 30's and am currently ballroom dancing & latin dancing 4 times a week which I have done for the past 30 years. I walk daily and also ride a bicycle about twice a week and now I am doing workouts of strength training and also yoga and of course step aerobics on a daily basis. Good job I am retired right!. I am really enjoying your workouts and have not progressed past the beginner levels yet because I want to build up my strength further before I tackle the more difficult workouts. Looking forward to continuing and getting stronger. Thanks again for the fabulous workouts.

I needed a n easier workout tonight since it's late. NOT at all boring! I'm 59 and have been doing your intermediate to advanced classes for over a year now. I previously did step aerobics (over 20 years ago). So glad I found you! xoxoxox

It’s pouring here so I can’t do my evening walk outside and I said, hmm I wonder if Chris has like a 25 minute fast basic step? And I turned on RUclips and there it was because of course you have one, you have sooooo many options!!! You’re simply the best. I’m 43 and for the first time in my life, since finding you a year and a half ago, I’m taking care of my body. I never knew what that looked like before finding you, to be honest, because exercise felt like punishment most of the time. But every without with you is FUN and engaging and leaves me a sweaty smiling mess. Thanks for being a ray of sunshine and light!! 💡 I appreciate you so much and it’s so clear how much work you put into what you do. ❤❤❤

Nice basic step routine. I'm 60 and started doing step in the 1990's. At first I didn't like it because i was used to doing the floor aerobic classes, but now love step. I think it helps with coordination and helping catch yourself when you almost trip and fall. Thank you, Chris for helping me exercise through Covid and beyond...

I am 63. I started doing step aerobics in 1998 after we moved back home from our 3 year tour in Belgium. I did the classes at the Y and then my favorite teacher moved. So I took up running at a very slow pace and started yoga. Last year I started back with step aerobics but then the Y dropped it so now I’m so glad to have found your program Christina! Thank you for your different levels!

I’m 64! Been doing step about 30 years! Started with Chris who is EXCELLENT since 2021 during COVID! Love Step but I was missing by only doing step. I used to do other classes at the gym and the mobility challenge reminded me what I was missing!
I see the difference! Legs are stronger.
On Monday I use the step routine s a dance and then do weights/abs or whatever combo.
I know TMI - but Love the whole C Dorner Fitness System!!😂❤

I like these more basic, slower style of classes as they allow me to add a riser (which I don't normally do for various reasons). I'm 62 and have been stepping on-and-off for about 30 years. Thanks to Chris' fabulous training and class variety, my stepping is more ON than off, and I'm way better at it!🎉

This was great. Almost 47 here. Chris, you’re such a great instructor, whether it’s an intermediate/advanced or a basic, you’re always so encouraging. I usually do intermediate, but it’s nice to do a basic once in a while and I was still so sweaty! Loved Louis’s step - so cute! Thank you!

Just back from constant visits to the hospital to visit my husband, who was extremely unwell with pneumonia. This is a great little workout to get me back in the flow. I also did my strength training. I feel better for all of it! Thanks so much for your wonderful workouts Christina! You feel like a friend to me. PS - I am 73 years old now, and can still climb up and down all the flights of stairs in the hospital without any effort. Yey! xx

Since 2019, working out from home, came across your channel , think around 2021. The step classes you do inspires, combo with weights just awesome, and I'm able to follow the moves with ease.❤

I'm 50! I've been doing step since the 90s and love all levels, and chose which level and pace I want to do based on how I feel to keep consistently working out. Thanks Chris and all the commenters. I love the age range and how you are motivating people to continue working out no matter how old or young they are. You're the best!
