The one with the mesh, which is the one I REALLY want is going for $79 on Amazon, compared to $27 for the other one! On one hand, I can't justify spending $79 on a resin watch and on the other hand, I don't like the value option much, despite the fact that it's a fraction of the cost! 😫

They are very small. I just got one and I don't know that I'll keep it. It is very thin and small. I don't have a large wrist and it looks small on me.\
Hello nice video! I plan to get the A700W the black one, I have a 6.2 inch wrist and want the watch to fit quite tightly, will it fit me? Or will there be a lot of excess band from the bracelet?

@@pedromonteiro2644 The A700 is thinner, more legible and modern looking while maintaining that vintage vibe. And the bracelet is more usable compared to the A168. Maybe you can check out Ben's Watch Club RUclips channel. He discussed this in details.

Is the maximum length of the straps of both a700w and a700wm same or different? Pls tell me which one has the less length.. My wrist size is 6.5. Is the a700wm suitable? I heard that wm is suitable for big wrists as it's starp length is more. Please recommend me any one in the view of size of the strap. I am going to buy one tomorrow.....
Hey man. Both the straps are the same length. If your wrist size is 6.5 inches, you can still use the original bracelet. If your wrist size is 6 inches, you'll need to swap the bracelet with something else. Thanks for watching

@@NMwatch Sorry, I might be asking a bit much, but have you ever found a smaller, similar band for the A700W? I'm having trouble searching. The beads of rice bracelet is nice, but the vintage look of the original bracelet is too good to pass on.
@@treasure2914 Hmmm.. I haven't found yet. But you can search for a fine mesh bracelets from AliExpress or if you want something of higher quality, go for Strapcode. But I don't think they'll have that tapering design. Only straight 18mm all the way from top to bottom.
Is it possible to remove the resin body for a future stainless steel case mod?

Hello, I came here for the same exact reason
Been looking around on stainless steel mods but no luck so far.
I have looked everywhere on the internet for Casio watches CAD files to get accurate dimensions but no luck.
I have modeled the A168 in Inventor but all the dimensions were measured by myself so I assume a lot is wrong.
I am thinking of buying this watch, modeling the body and CNC machining it from some light durable metal such as magnesium or titanium, then taking the electronics and the strap from this watch.
Any thoughts ?
Thoughts: you are gonna need precision when measuring because those buttons don't have a lot of space between them and the case. Also the glass/acrylic won't look/work right if it's not precise enough so yeah

Hey man. Personally, I prefer the A700W. Because I like the black dial and those additional colours on the printings. The silver is a bit plain for me, but the mesh bracelet is excellent, albeit too long for smaller wrist. Thanks for watching 😎
Can I swap the straps? I love the WM (in all gold) but I like the straight bars better than the mesh band. What is the lug width?
The lug width is 18mm. You need to source for a thin strap/bracelet for this Casio because the space is not that big. Thanks for watching

Hey man. My wife's wrist size is 5.5 inches. So both the bracelets on the A700W and A700WM didn't fit her. As for you, maybe you should try it at the store before you purchase, but even if it didn't fit, I'm pretty sure you can get aftermarket straps for it (check out my strap fashion show videos). The one on the Milanese bracelet is up to between $75-100 on US-Amazon now!!! Price gouging BS! 😝 The other one is $25
I bought the A700W for about USD25 and the milanese bracelet version for about USD30. Maybe Christmas gift buying made them charge higher? Anyways, thanks for watching 💪🏻

spend S$32 for the white one and A700 w (dark face) S$46 which i think i pay extra. i try shoppe so expensive and sold out. the price in S$
In Shopee Malaysia, the black one was cheaper. I'm not sure why it's the other way around in Singapore 😂. Enjoy your Casios man!
The price difference could be because of the mineral glass on the gray faced one vs acrylic on the black faced one.
