I purchased this watch a few months ago here in the UK and it's really an excellent watch. I haven't any problem with the bracelet size and it fits perfectly on my small wrist. Casio have certainly done a good job with this watch and I would recommend it to anyone. Being a unisex watch it would be great for women also. It is larger than an F91 but is also slimmer at only 6mm thickness. The display is very crisp and clear.
The milanese strap can be worn shorter than the marked lines on the strap. I know cuz that's how I wear it. Ive a 5.8inch wrist. You just add a bit more pressure to close it.
Thank you so much for detailing DIMENSIONS at the very beginning of your excellent review. For some reason most reviewers of watches fail to do this, but I think it is a critical issue. You review is very well done!
thoughts about the 3 year battery life? Cuz I personally wish that it was longer especially with it being a digital watch and all... maybe it's thin body has something to do with it
I have one of these but I it's called A700WEM-7A, not WM. Probably region-specific (as if EF suffix in the end isn't enough). By the way, holding the right button for 3+ seconds works.
I bought this watch today. They are so stylish and simple! Also backlight is LED, but it lights entire display with yellow-orange light, so you can see everything without problems. Also many sources tell that this watch has acrylic window, this not true. I tried to scratch it with metall needle, the window is made of true glass and scratch-resistant.
This would be a really good model to offer a varient in a stainless steel case... Even outsourcing the case, if they didn't want to invest is a very cheap proposition for them.
It looks very similar to the one Casio introduced in the 1970's, and still available now at Walmart, for under $20.00. I actually have one and love it, but I often get comments such as "Why are you wearing such an old, cheap watch?"
6.25 inch wrist here. Love the watch, love the monochromatic look, love how slim it is, love the look of the milanese bracelet. But it sits really shitty on the wrist, thought about cutting a bit of the milanese end or let that a jewelry smiths do the cut.
I never thought about cutting a Milanese band. Interesting question. Probably not something you want to start fooling around with if you don't know how to terminate woven metal at an almost microscopic level. I know if it was me, knowing precisely zero about how those kinds of bracelets are woven and terminated, I wouldn't do it. But that's just me.
Sir, I bought this watch, but there is a problem. In the timekeeping mode, if I want to change the time and press A button, the light flashes. This I did not notice when you pressed A button to show how the time is to be changed. Is my watch defective?
I'm highly interested in this product, but I'm naturally a taller person and have larger hands & wrists (about 9.1".) Would the mesh band be able to accommodate such size?
How does this compare in terms of visual size vs the A168 you have? Putting aside thickness, which of the two watch heads appear bigger/wider/longer etc?
Be careful about buying bands for Casio watches. If you've ever looked closely at their bands, they all start out with a small lug to lug distance, usually 18mm, then they immediately flare out wider to around 20mm to 22mm for their small watches, then they gradually taper back down, sometimes as narrow as 15mm. If you buy a band that is just straight, you're going to hate it, and regardless of whatever you try to convince yourself of to justify the expenditure, it is still going to be butt-ugly, because Casio watches look like shit when you put straight bands on them. This is because the lugs always end up protruding too far down past the beginning of the band and because of the way that Casio incorporates the shape of the lugs into the housing.
Same size as my wrist. I prefer a tight fit and there are still four (4) adjustment lines left, making it possible to adjust for even smaller wrists. In another video there's a guy with a 6.25 inch wrist and it fits him too. And in this video, it fits a 6 inch wrist. Probably the minimum wrist size for this mesh bracelet, although there is a comment here saying you can adjust, with a little force, beyond the adjustment lines for sub 6 inch wrists. I can't confirm that, but obviously some one did just that.
How long is the band? If it is shorter that 28 cm It will not fit comfortable on an adult wrist, and you will have to buy a NATO, as with most of these Asian watches unfortunately... some one should tell them about costumer service... Not even San martin will help you with extra links for their tiny watch bands...How cheap can you get..
@@kas1mka you can wear it on a 5.8inch wrist. You just add a bit of pressure on the metal buckle when you close it. I know because I own the watch and that's how I wear it.
hi, purchased a couple of a700s for my daughters only to hear the straps will be way big for their wrists. Are there any particular straps required or anything with the correct lug measurement will do?
5:52 seriously? It doesn't fit a 6 inch wrist? I was planning to buy this watch, but this changed my mind. Thanks for the review bro, it's really helpful when there's a watch reviewer that has your wrist size.
6 inch wrist?! Bro....my wrist is at least 9 inches! Also you know what is a very funny and amazing coincidence (or maybe intentional?) The minute mark of the video where you say "my 6 inch wrist" is exactly the 6:00 mark of the video.
I'd like to know when men's wrist sizes got to be so small. I keep seeing comments like "my wrist size is 6.25 or 6 or 6.5". When did this happen? Seriously. I just wrapped a sewing tape measure around my wrist, and it's 7.75" in circumference. If I pull it really, really tight, like tight enough to dig into my skin and leave a mark after just a few seconds, I can get that number down to 7.5", but there's a slight degree of almost pain but not quite; more like a high level of discomfort. And I'm not all that big of a person either. I'm 6' tall and weigh a shade over 200 lbs, so it's not like I'm an overly big person. If I try to wear something like the F-91, I'm way down at the 2nd to 3rd hole from the end of the band, depending on temperature, but either way, I'm just barely capturing the end of the band in the keeper. I've never checked the actual number, but I've always thought that I had pretty small wrists.

These knitted bracelets are good because the other and non-knitted bracelets attract the hairs on the wrist, which is painful.

Thank you for the kind words.
Two things make this Casio stand out .The mesh strap and its thiness .The amber light , is also nice , but not outstanding
Excellent review, you answered all the questions I had so now I feel confident to buy it.

Thanks for the bracelet heads up , this is too big for my wrist too . Too bad , I like this monochromatic design . Great video .
I have to admit, this watch got me. It’s beautiful, retro, and have a lot of style. I just bought one today. I hope the cheap plastic holds well
Any Casio that's all metal? I dunno too much about these newer ones

cheers for the beep !
The E stands for Europe release, i believe and sadly, that variant apparently has acrylic crystal while the international variant has mineral glass
Brief comparison with the basic Casio A158:
A158: Cheaper, longer battery life, better strap for small hands
A700: Thinner, better backlight, better strap for bigger hands
Does this metal strap fit on a Casio Databank 150 Watch 22mm

It's actually made of mineral crystal

The most beautiful watch.
Where can I buy this from , it’s out of stock in Amazon and on Casio’s website

Subscribed. Good review with good voice.
So a question somewhere i read that this watch uses a c1616 battery causing it to have shorter battery life?
Thanks for the review. It's all about the bracelet but unfortunately it would not fit me either. Guess I'll stick with my "Casio Royale."
Thank you for minimum radius tip!
How much accuracy in real seconds per day por month?
Hey how much meters of water resistance does it have?
I want blue backlight.
Great Content.
Whats cost?
I need 2 pitch Casio steel body watch.Waterproof.Machine with advanced technology. What is the way to buy from Bangladesh?Link please!

I'm not really sure but maybe you can try changing a battery.
mine does the same, not a problem really..
What is the difference between A700WE and A700W? I have seen the same watch with these two different labelling at the back.
E for Europe release. Just W for international release. E has acrylic, W has mineral glass apparently.
Can I order it to Kathmandu, Nepal? If so what's the process & it's total cost plz?
🔸 I have the same wrist as you.it's hard for me to pick up a watch.please advise which ones to buy for a thin hand (Need digital Casio)
The Casio A168 will be a good alternative.
I'm highly interested in this product, but I'm naturally a taller person and have larger hands & wrists (about 9.1".) Would the mesh band be able to accommodate such size?
I'll really not sure if it will fit
Maximum wrist size, when I measured the adjustment lines inside the mesh bracelet, was about 8.4".
O meu é um Casio a 168 prata muito lindo diferente desse modelo aí
I have a normal 9 inch wrist, like most Dutch men... I'm of average length , 187 cm so any watch should fit, I'm medium..
This is the best upgrade from the f91.
How does this compare in terms of visual size vs the A168 you have? Putting aside thickness, which of the two watch heads appear bigger/wider/longer etc?
This is wider and longer than the A168. It wears larger on the wrist.
@@GFWatch Cool, thanks!
What kind of straps would be good on this watch, any ideas? I'm looking for a good leather or plastic bands
It takes 18mm band. I find that a grey leather suits it nicely.

So if I have 5.5inch wrists you wouldn't reccomend this?
The non mesh bracelet versions would be better options.

best retro casio . but if it with a heavy bracelet that would be greater

CASIO Film (fs) watches were only 5mm
I was ready to order this but now i am wondering about the wrist size...it is supposed to be a woman watch and is still so big?
I don't think Casio official classifies this to be a ladies model. It should be much more wearable on a regular bracelet than this mesh.
