Thanks for the great comparison! I had a hard choice between WE and WEM. Finally, I bought the WE. I preferred the black dial and the more masculine / retro appearance. During the day I do not really notice the hair pulling, but I have quite thick & long gorilla hair on my forearms. In direct comparison, I agree that the material quality of the WEM is better. And yes, the milanease band is more comfy. The WE’s overall style is however one of the most appealing to me - and that makes the deal for me.
I was looking for the gold A700 with Milanese band (WEMG-9AEF). Though not featured in this video, your review and side by side comparison was enough to convince me. Ordered one right afterwards. Thank you!
I have the silver faced one (A700WM) with the segmented strap from the black faced one fitted as I believe it looks better 😉 Notice I said WM, not WEM. The former is the mineral glass faced variant which is supplied to the US and Asia for some reason.
For me, WE and WEG mirrors the style of the original F91-W the closest, and F-91W IS undeniably, the most iconic and influential model ever released by Casio, just not in metallic gold or silver color.
I bought the WEG, then the WE. Whilst I love the band on the WEM, I'm just not struck on the face, though a lot of people seem to prefer that watch. Each to his own.
I have heard the web band on the WEM model does not lay flat all the way around when you have small wrists...which I do. My wrist is 170mm ....any thoughts would be most appreciated. Thanks!
How big is your wrist and how does the mesh one fits? I'm planning to buy the one with the milanese bracelet but almost everywhere there's someone saying that is get's too lose on smallers wrists (mine is 6in)
As per the video, the Milanese is very good, almost zero hair pulling. The regular A700 metal bands are terrible for hair pilling, one of the reasons I cannot use them.
@@Icolorimutevoli True if you are comparing them to mechanical watches. Some digital watches run at a +/- a few seconds per month but another watch from the same batch could be +/-30 secs per month. My most accurate quartz watches are all 30 to 40 years old.

Would be great to get the mesh strap as a spare part and fit it to the non-mesh model.
It is available you just have to look for it
Bro just buy a158 or a168 and use the metal strap for this a700 I did this a it work fine
It's about 15 us dollars...
@@davidrinmawia2959did that really work?
Can you upload a video showing the a700 with the a158 strap?
I find the non-Milanese strap better for my smaller 6.25" wrist
Love the mesh straps.

Thank you for this review! I will get the mesh one.
The wem is sublime on that strap

They lack timer functionality and better water resistance. Suggestions?
M stands for Mesh wrist band

The one with the Milanese strap is unisex but tilting towards those people that can give birth 😂
I have a casio a700 with mesh bracelet, sub no date, tudor bb58 blue, a panerai and a gold daytona. Trust me, the casio is the conversation starter 🤣🤣
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Can you compare with b640?
I no longer have a B640, I do not like the curved case, and find them a little large for the case shape.
thanks for doing this. literally, what are they thinking with this product naming convention? yikes.
I've got the gold one and love it but started shaving my wrists haha always nipping when i dont expect it

Great video, really helpful :)
Glad it was helpful!
Great video bro 💯
someone else said that the clasp on the mesh bracelet doesn't go small enough to fit say a 6 inch wrist. did you find this to be the case?
Are the cases made of stainless steel?
nope
WEM👍🏼
Are the watches the same length?
WE>>
I call it the Mayonnaise strap. That must be it.

Я разочарован, я привык что часы касио немного спешат, а эти отстают причём прилично. И дорого стоят.
I don’t genderize clothes and accessories too much normally but mesh strap looks just to feminine to me. And I love love the other band.
It hurts me how all the watches are at different times.
Thanks. What are their hair pulling performance?

There is a gold with mesh bracelet... I have one
i put the f91w strap on mine love how thin/light it is
You have 0 taste…
Milanese straps are very feminine imo
Yet another review that completely fails to mention how accurate (or not) a watch is....🙄
They're like the same watch bro
It’s the same
Surely you can't be serious, they're all digital watches meaning they're all accurate!
