Artis was one of a kind. I met him in Eugene Oregon. Saw him open up for Phish in Seattle. An uncompromising artist and very powerful on stage or on his cassette tape recordings. I wrote to him several times when it was just Post Office Boxes. I miss his presence but honor him by playing djembe + hand percussion. Heart .

I would love to hear/read others' memories of me performing there. I wrote one poem there that I love. - Dollar Bill.
