In Superunknown 1994 his mids were outstanding in songs like Mailman and Limo Wreck and he sounded completely different to what he did a few years prior to that in the Ultramega OK days. Fast forward about a decade and his Audioslave voice had a completely different tone about it than the Modern day Chris (post Higher Truth). It's almost like you can tell from what era of Chris' career he's at just by listening to the tonal qualities of his voice.
