I love that E5 at 7:23. It's mind blowing he can still hit that note as clean as he did in his mid-late 40s.. especially after as extensive of a career he's had of vocal belting in the 5th octaves. Vocal god

One of the best Soundgarden songs ever written. And I love how the fans are never jackasses, you can tell they're pretty intelligent because they like to sit back, actually listen to the music, to how it's being played, and worship Kim Thayil.
In watching this, I take back every criticism of Cornell's voice I've had in the years since Euphoria Morning. When the dude gets it right, he really, really gets it right. To pull off an Ultramega OK track and have it sound so fresh, with vocals that, in my opinion, make the original pale in comparison, is wonderful; maturity, depth and a fuller sound than back in those days. He's still up there as having one the most outstanding voices of the last 30+ years, not to mention his, and the rest of the band's, outstanding songwriting to support the whole thing. Awesome.
This is a great song. I love how Kim Thayil is such a calm mellow player. He just lets his guitar play do all the talking. I never get sick of Beyond the Wheel. That is such a cool song, and Kim is always going to play it a little different each time. Absolutely my favorite band from the 90's. So glad they are keeping us all young.

Then, on top of that, Cornell comes in with a voice as clear as it had been in years, and improvises that high note at the end. They were at the peak of their power, and there was no telling what might have come next. Miss you, Chris.
