only now am i discovering your DMCV guides, but i must say, i like them a lot. the modern internet has a lot of guides that are 90% fluff and 10% what you're actually looking for, but this no filler, all killer approach you've used for these is great and honestly very refreshing. i like how even though you have a preference/personal idea of what is optimal in this situation, you still show other available options do people can pick their poison and play as they want to play
I didn't know hysteric does this much damage until yesterday when I tried to do BP with Kalina Ann only. It was so much fun when combined with mega cascade full length blast(holding the style button)，it can basically one shot behemoth if you perform it from the front.
Very helpful guide. That Stage 97 lately been giving me hell! It's funny since when I played it back in April/May I completed these levels rather smoothly (but still very challenging). But now I'm always getting stuck between the transition of Juddeca+Angelo to Behemoth and Empusa Queen and Luscia. Die very often on the Luscia spam or by DT Behemoth and DT Queen (in red blooded crazy state). The Behemoth will run around or jump trampling me over or catching me as I fall off the air or attack the other enemy. While the Queen will spam hits, grabs and jumps. Or Luscia will shoot random balls of death and flee. I never really realized there's a difference between stunning and hard knockdown them. I always just went to his mouth right after breaking. I usually use Hot Stuff, Cerberus Revolver or Long Revolver on the back. And King Slayer, Hot Stuff or Real Impact on the front (followed by Divine Dragon) Sometimes I use the tactic of letting it rage and kill everything on the field on Stage 97. But it's unsafe and unreliable. Really cool bit about Hysteric! I always fail to find use to this, always getting hit or not hitting anything. It's kinda hard to input in a pinch too. Do you have any tips what to do AFTER it starts raging and running around in DMD/DT (or late BP)?
Safest thing to do would be once you see it start getting ready to charge, trickster dash directly over its head ( the invinciblity frames should protect you), then when you land immediately do it again. Behemoth should only switch direction 4 times, and you can catch his cool down after you dodge the tackle attempts. Other thing would be using ice age as soon as you see it coming, as it will parry his tackle even if you're early on the activation. Remember that only the mouth and tounges are hitboxes, so you can even try jumping on its back if you can jump over its face. Another option you can try is spaming flint wheel, as it has invincibility frames and a hit, so you could potentially avoid the tackle hit and parry him at the same time.
Awesome, I too will from now on try to use this strategy. Mine was to stay away and land real impacts whenever possible but it always ended up being a very very long battle. Cerberus Hot Stuff + Combo C + Real Impact seems very doable

Plus, it's so cool to see you DESTROY the enemies at the end. Great content! The best part about these creatures is how exploitable they are before the chains break and AFTER they're gone. They crowd-control for you by rampaging across the battle field when the chains are gone & they're very complacent when the chains are left on (especially on DMD). They have issues dealing with airborne characters too, so Nero spamming blue rose and Dante using air delaying tactics like I&E/faust/kalina ann gunfire and DSD combos while charging the sword formation roundtrip is sooo good against them. Since they have innately giant hurtboxes, you can opt to crowd-control, but why do that when picking them off last or one at a time proves beneficial the most. And, as we're seeing here, they're super easy to stun because of the transition they experience when the chains are broken off (something I already knew because Bloody Palace has you fight many of them).
Watching you take the time to actually learn about the enemies is really wonderful. I was wondering if u could try your hand in monster Hunter world too?
To finish him off, what about Hot Stuff followed up by Real Impact? Sure you'd need to charge it up, but that should just build both damage and style rank so it still works out in your favor.
