    Fun fact about Royal Guard: According to the Style move descriptions in DMC3, he's not actually storing the energy of the enemies attacks. He's getting more and more pissed at having to block and "Royal Release/Revenge" is him unleashing all that pent up annoyance into one punch. So a fully charged Royal Revenge is just Dante being fed up with blocking and actually punching back with his full strength.

      @@DigitaltYT Devil May Cry Peak of Combat takes place after DMC3 and before DMC1. Idk why but Capcom's made it clear through their statements this is canon.
      Anyway let's dive in...
      Pluto is faster than his personal Ripper hunters, who can cover the Underworld in less than a day to hunt their prey, with the Underworld having been confirmed to be infinite in size by multiple sources. Can travel and bypass the dimensional axis of the time stream with sheer speed
      Mind you this is from a japanese to english translator (who is japanese himself and from in game references.
      Speed goes listed like
      Dante & Vergil and likely Nero(all from EOS DMC5)>Urizen>DMC5 Dante>DMC4 Dante>DMC2 Dante> DMC1 Dante/Demon Kings>Ripper Hunters. As with any franchise (most of the time) characters only get stronger with time passing by. I can put more names but I'm putting key characters for a general idea.
      And this is DMC Peak of Combat and after is DMC1, Anime,DMC2 Novel, DMC2, DMC 4 Novel, DMC4, DMC5 Novels, DMC5. So even if we do basic scaling. They are of immeasurable speed.
      Important note: Souls in Devil May Cry are 9-D constructs... so this may be an answer as to why Nero caught up somewhat in power to Dante & Vergil at the end with both of them wondering what happened with Nero. He may have awakened that 9-D construct within himself. Which possibly Dante & Vergil have not done. Unless explicitly stated.

      @@dantesparda4493 This doesn't seem right, because it invalidates any possible fight Dante has had against any enemy ever, essentially. It is also an example of lore for effect vs. Lore in practicality: since the Underworld is infinite in size, it's impossible for anything to search the entirety of the underworld in any given time, and if something could, it simply defies any kind of logic or really laws of reason, meaning that trying to powerscale someone like Dante in this is just useless.
      Basically, they make those comparisons to make it absurd and supernatural just how powerful these things are, but in doing so, you can't ever use it as evidence of powerscaling because it leads to the conclusion: no fight ever in this series would ever happen like it did because everyone is too impossibly powerful to lose or even fight

      1. Making prequels YEARS after the franchise debut
      2. Inconsistent feats (Like silver age Superman getting knocked out by a regular missile even though he can go toe to toe with darkseid and actually beat him effortlessly)
      3. Adding lore at a much later time
      4. Resources couldn't make media (manga anime cartoon comics games etc.) accurate to lore because of limited animation problems (time, not enough staff,not strong enough engine or software etc.)
      5. Company has financial problems
      6. The list can go on.
      I'd love to say more but it is what it is. Were they immeasurable speed ever since? no.
      But because of a prequel lore. Well they do have immeasurable speed now. Even though Dante is still shown running normally to stop V from merging with urizen when clearly he can go faster than that.

While not outright stated, the general vibe of the scene between the two of them seems to be about how far they've come. Although still somewhat reluctant about it, the implication is that Vergil is starting to come around to Dante's way of thinking in regards to the importance of family bonds. Dante and Vergil have very different and contrary fighting styles, so the two of them fighting together as a team means that they would be able to cover for each other's weaknesses while taking advantage of each other's strengths. They create a unit greater than the sum of its parts, and very well may have finally surpassed their father in doing so.

      Not to mention the new lore that Sparda had one blade and split it into three. I'm already more intrigued in knowing the true Prime Sparda because clearly he was seriously underestimated by most fans. But not me. I'm trying to make sense and put 1 and 1 to make it 2 and have it make sense.
      Dante has 2 swords
      Vergil has 1 sword and the Qliphoth fruit
      Which means a Qliphoth fruit equates to 1 sword of Sparda. Which is insane because 3 parts are each 33.33%. (mathematically speaking)
      It makes sense because Mundus NEEDED the Qliphoth fruit to beat Pluto... and Sparda defeated Mundus along with leaving him a permanent hole in his chest.
      We look at DMC1. Dante used the Sparda sword against Mundus at the end.
      Again 33.33% was more than enough to beat Mundus who we have to assume still has the fruit powers.
      We can always talk and agree to disagree. But I just wanted people to know that looking at it face value isn't the way Capcom works, they like to insinuate, hyperbolically state things, and of course "narrate" it as though it may or may not be truth.

This further evidenced by the game itself because our very Devil Arms are living. Alastor, Ifrit, Beowulf, Agni x Rudra, and Cerberus as notable examples. Cerberus was also guarding and sealing the entrance with his ice only allowing the worthy to enter and take his strength. Artemis was a Demonic Gun that was used as a part of the rituals of the seals as well. Another living thing. We also have no idea how Sparda was so strong. Did he also use the Fruit from the Qlipoth? Thanks for the feedback, and glad you liked the video! I did reference Visions of V a few times, and don’t believe there is much to pull from day Volumes 1 or 2 as far as feats. Totally agree on the Vergil vs Mundus fight. I would say that’s fair on that seeming like an anti feat, this was mentioned because they did fight, and Mundus is one of the strongest in the series. Good call though. Vergil one is in the backlog, got a couple of things I’m working on, but that will happen. Thanks!

    • @Reseptics
      @Reseptics Год назад +8

      @@DigitaltYT yeah. i've seen some people use that "anti-feat" as an argument that dmc3 vergil is stronger than dmc1 dante. which takes a lot of blatantly ignoring the evidence of the power scaling in the first game to think that since both dante and mundus are significantly stronger there. and dante still wouldn't have been able to defeat him in a one on one. also, dante already surpassed sparda in dmc4. so he's already far exceeded him in power by 5 especially when he gets his SDT. same with vergil since they're basically even in that game and it's implied their fight could go either way or it would end in a draw.

    • @YavNe
      @YavNe Год назад +3

      Well, you're wrong. Firstly, Vergil and Dante were equal in terms of power after Dante has unlocked his Devil Trigger as well. In their second fight it was a draw and in their third fight Dante has won with motivation and that Vergil wasn't using Yamato but Force Edge. How you don't consider it is mind-blowing given you look like a veteran DMC fan. Secondly, it still kind of seems like an anti-feat for Dante given Dante has beaten Mundus with the help of his father, Sparda's power. That is even more mind-blowing how the DMC community is stupidly taking Dante's victory over Mundus as if it was his own power. Doesn't matter that he has surpassed Sparda in power in DMC2 that time when he has beaten Mundus he wasn't there yet. Bro are you guys a deadbrain? Not even considering OBVIOUS points when coming to a conclusion? lmao. I don't wanted to be rude but it's just my criticism to being incapable of considering obvious things. Really I got tired from this stupidity of the community(talking in general, not about you) like people were saying that NeRo Is VeRgIl'S sOn BeCaUsE dAnTe SaId YaMaTo ShOuLd StAy At ThE FaMiLy when literally, LITERALLY he points at himself when saying that that he was meaning himself. Dunno if you consider other enemies rather than just Mundus but it's said for only Mundus. And I don't get this concept "power scaling." Like how the hell do you tell how the power scaling works? Can you enlighten me? Yeah, because first he was strengthened by Mundus and second for not being sane he has failed even with significantly power difference. Otherwise if he was sane as Vergil Dante got no chance against him. :D Nah, not in DMC4, in DMC2. Dunno if DMC4 was after DMC2 or not. But it's said for DMC2 long ago already. :P Bro wtf? What you have just said doesn't make sense at all. First you're comparing Dante from DMC5 to Vergil(Nelo Angelo actually) from DMC1 when you were arguing about the claim that DMC3 Vergil was being stronger than DMC1 Dante then you're comparing Dante from DMC5 to Vergil from DMC5. What? It's just a plain logic. Just because now they are equal in DMC5 "alone" doesn't imply that DMC3 Vergil wasn't stronger than DMC1 Dante. You should consider events happened there. Dante has surpassed his father by keep fighting strong enemies. So it's not about time, it's about how that time has passed. Though Vergil hasn't even fought all this years but still he has reached the same power as Dante. So I think the power gains are not adding up to your current power in DMC like when you use Sparda's sword, you get a fixed power. So fruit didn't add up into Vergil's current power via SDT but carried him to the same power level as Dante, same with Dante on SDT.

    Arkhum kicks vergil off the tower, because Dante drew him to a standstill, and in jester's own words 'you are wounded and weak'
    Nero only defeats vergil (this time none fatality) because Dante was exhausted after fighting vergil on top of the chilphod tree.

Remember everything Dante went through there, including two punchups with "the kid who could crack buildings", the first of which he was *stopping himself from hurting Nero during* by restraining his devil trigger?
      And then his one-on-one fight with the Savior, where by the end of it he was finally forced to block rather than dodge? And even though the Savior shut down as it hit him, that's still a catastrophic amount of impact, and he was *fine* ?

    Dante scales to complex multiversal since DMC1, you missed a lot of feats from the manga and novels. The reason he would be at complex is due to the nature of the demon world, its a higher dimensional plane than the human world. Dante in terms of speed is immeasurable; because the first demon and demon king pluto has hunters that can cover every inch of the infinite demon world in a day giving them infinite speed, pluto is stated to be faster than his hunters and able to travel through time with sheer speed alone classifying his speed as immeasurable. Mundus created nightmare which can lift or destroy the entire demon world, and since the demon world is higher dimensionally that gives him complex multiversal AP/Durability, mundus is able to subdue nightmare with a finger (shown in the manga) making mundus many times stronger than nightmare, mundus is also the one who overpowered pluto to claim the title king. These are all feats from DMC1 alone just to put him at complex. You'd be surprised on what he was able to accomplish in the novels.

    Just a bit of extra proof Dante is Universal+. Mundus was stated by Kamiya(the creator of DMC1) that the zone they fought in was a whole other universe that he created. So he created on the spot another entire universe just for kicks to fight Dante inside of. Further on, in a novel later on he would fight an even stronger Mundus that had taken over the universe in a separate universe, that was literally the universe itself. Dante defeated him, without Sparda and this was before DMC2.
    Dante then Defeats Argosax which is implied story wise to be relative to a Mundus level threat in base in DMC2, finishing him off with Ivory no less.
    He is capable of surviving slashes from a dimension and CONCEPT cutter in Yamato, along with countering its blows at full strength.
    Dante is implied to be greater in power than his father in the DMC4 files.
    Dante of course is dominated by Urizen, who then goes on a whole month snacking on power of the roots of the tree, on top of getting a Mundus casual universe creating and inifinite void destroyer creating buff on top of it, and still handidly beats him with his Sin DT power up. Not just that but he ties with Vergil which is at bare minimum more skilled with said power, if not significantly stronger because human blood empowers demonic blood.
    The guy is multiple tiers above himself at the start of DMC5 by the end, let alone from before DMC2 which was already universe+ with his defeat of the alternate Mundus and casual defeating of Argosax. Dudes broken.

  • @Nin_the_Shinobi
    @Nin_the_Shinobi Год назад +3

    Sin devil trigger first appearance was in Devil May Cry 2. It was called Majin devil trigger but because Majin already means "devil" that's why the name changed in DMC5. In DMC2 I think Dante had access to this ability and wasn't able to control it or understand how to even activate it until DMC5, hence why in DMC2 it can rarely be activated on low health.

    • @xenowarrior282
      @xenowarrior282 Год назад +4

      Sin Devil Trigger and Majin Form are explicitly completely different forms.
      Also iirc, in no official media is it ever called Majin Form. The only time it's ever mentioned is in the DMC2 guidebook and it's called the Desperate Devil Trigger.

      Let’s say I can run at 10 miles per second, and I run for 10 seconds, that would be 100 miles I ran. Then I can slow down time around me to have it move at 1/10th speed. genuine question, how do you reconcile someone being able to move faster than light while not absolutely demolishing the earth beneath them? I'm not talking about demonic/magical types of movement, but simple biomechanical running, to accelerate his body to those speeds by running, the stomps to the ground would eviscerate the entire globe.
