However it is stated that Nightmare could've beaten Urizen by himself if he could be out for as long as he wished, so who's to say.
That statement refered to urizen(at his birth) when he just got Split from vergil... So it's long before he got empowered by the Qliphoth at the begining of dmc5. V and urizen were born at the same time from vergil So V could evaluate urizen's power at that Time, that's why he thought Dante could beat urizen as he remember Dante's power on Mallet Island in dmc1.
@@bricelandarSo that means that Vergil's Demonic side was as strong as Dmc1 Dante with Sparda equipped.... Which means a crippled, dying Vergil could dunk on Mundus...
practically jumped when i saw you posted this. great video once again. i hadn't even considered that the mirage edge was so powerful because of the 9D scaling before. and vergil was not only tired from fighting dante previously, but he was also most likely testing his son's strength. he's much more passive in his fight with nero than he is in his fight with dante. also i've seen the argument that vergil has immeasurable speed but i honestly think it could go either way between inaccessible and immeasurable. but that would also mean that same speed scaling applies to dante since he'd naturally have to be almost a complete equal to vergil stat wise.
Let's not forget that while on the verge of death when you play as Vergil in DMC5, there's a cutscene where he's confronted by a couple of demons, and he just swiftly cuts them down with no effort.
I think you’re forgetting that both the Rebellion and Yamato are both extensions of their respective owner’s demonic energy, which is directly connected to their soul. Even if it weren’t connected to the soul, it still would be connected to energy that can preform soul erasure on these 9D-10D beings. I do think it’s funny that Nico is surprised by this at all considering both summon swords and the fact that Mundus CREATED 2 UNIVERSES CASUALLY.
@@EternalVirgin Sparda split his energy into three swords, The Sparda, the Rebellion, and the Yamato. That's a big reason why Dante got such a massive power boost when he unlocked Sin Devil Trigger, he absorbed two of those swords into himself.

i always believed that vergil made his doppelganger in the same manner he made his mirage edge. so in my head cannon i believed vergil simply made a much stronger version of his normal summoned swords and with the same technique he made his doppelganger so he can should be able to make things like spears bows maces and even an armor around him kinda like suasuke with his susano on another note i believe that the last fight in dmc 5 was much much more than just a fight. vergil says if i BEAT nero i beat you agreed dante ? he didnt intend to kill he just wanted to see how strong nero actually is and all nero wanted to do was to protect his new found family and dante knew this so he just let the two of them fight as in the family of sparda fighting is the best form of bonding vergil wanted someone to protect and love him then nero comes and says no one is dying today and i believe that made vergil change. he began to trust and love nero and accept him as his son. he gave him his book as a sign of acceptance trust. i'm sure vergil could absolutely shred nero but it was not the point. i'm just glad that nero made vergil and dante stop hating each other and brought them peace. he got his seal of approval from dante and vergil and in the end he became a great character with a lot of growth and is a fan favorite now. capcom really did him good hope to see the family of sparda unite one more time to kill mundus for good
You actually managed to humble me on some of my scaling. That being that I totally forgot about the mirage bosses being metaphysical and that the originals scale above them making them above metaphysical which ofcourse is absurd but actually makes a ton of sense and is very balanced.
@@DigitaltYT oh trust me as a fan of the games, novels, and scaling I know these guys are absurd but damn I underestimated just how important the mirages were for scaling!
Nero only stronger than Dante in only Dmc4 There is multiple stated so many Times dante admit himself that Nero is stronger than him, when Dante and Nero in their second fight dante say that Nero wasn't pullings his Punch yet, he wasn't like holding back. So it means that Nero could be possibly stronger and insane potential in Devil may Cry so Dante doesn't seen like he treated him like fodder.
Nero was definitely stronger in DMC4 but lacks the control and experience that Dante had so Dante just plays around and taught nero to make mistakes heck Dante could stop the savoir punch but nero could out right push it back
@DarkSlayer487 see I even find THAT hard to believe cause Dante caught nero's punches. And nero was trying to pull his arm away with all his might, Dante wasn't even budging. Dante played with nero that whole game.
I can just imagine security popping saying "We heard of reports of someone swinging a dangerous sharp weapon in the middle of the line" Afterwards "False alarm, just the badass storm passing through" 😂
3:14 This could be wrong because even something like 2D to 3D is a beyond infinite distance apart in terms of scale. Not even an infinite amount of 2D objects stacked on top of each other would make a 3D object because that’s like trying to reach one by adding zeros/literally nothing. The distance is not infinite, but inaccessible, as in not even an infinite amount of infinites will allow a lower dimensional object to become a higher dimensional object.

@DigitaltYT Good video, but I do have a couple of criticisms. For one, you mistakenly assume that because human soul=9D construct that suddenly Mirage Edge is the strongest weapon in the series, but this is inaccurate for you fail to draw attention to the fact that demons far weaker then Vergil even in DMC3 are either transformed human souls or have feats of being able to destroy human souls. Secondly, DMC3 Lore and PoC lore reveal that human souls are generated by the Nirvana realms within the DW (seen in DMC3's final levels) which in turn places the Demonworld above souls (ad infinitum) in superiority, not to mention the Qliphoth tree at its apex (with the fruit having both human and demonic energies) which as we learn in DMC5 info, the artbook, and VoV quite literally imagined reality (both the DW and HW and possibly the larger DMC multiverse mentioned within DMC Volume 2 depending on how you construe the quote) places current Vergil so far above 9D human souls he may as well be 10 or 11D. Furthermore, Vergil pumps demonic energy through his weapons in much the same way Dante does through his guns (to give the easiest example) so all his weapons would scale as high as him relatively and the Yamato is his main and strongest weapon in his arsenal. Hence, why he uses it so often and even though Mirage Edge is a personification of his soul that doesn't necessarily make it that special in comparison to his other weapons since human souls as a scaling measure were surpassed even by DMC3 Vergil, let alone DMC5 Vergil. In either case, a good vid, just missing on a few context issues that weren't addressed in its usage of certain lore quotes.
Still doubtful Vergil was even tired fighting Nero, if this was the case he wouldn’t even be able to stay in SDT for 3/4ths of the boss fight like he does in game. he def saw Nero as his way out of having to kill Dante and conceding. Unlike his brother he didn’t want to kill eachother, Vergil knows what it means to be human now, but still can’t talk it out like a normal person lol. And besides at the start of M20 you can hear Vergils voice break when talking to Nero, ashamed of almost putting Nero on the same path as him.
Vergil was about to kill Dante and could have possibly killed Nero also because Vergil said he could still fight, but would rather stop the qliphoth from spreading.
If he really didn't wanted to fight dante then he could stopped in the exact moment he was complete again, he had the oportunity since dante was tired to the point of clash swords and vergil only using one hand to push. Dante even goes and says "come on vergil, lets end this" or something similar, giving to vergil the oportunity to say "ok". But instead of stop fighting, he incentives dante to rest and get strong and then fight in more equal conditions.
@@adriansaavedra3050 Nah, in visions of v the canon manga, v in vergils head asks vergil if he really wants to kill dante, vergil responds with no, v asks why, and vergil responds with, "because i like fighting with my brother", so dead ass canonically dante was trying to kill vergil, and vergil wasnt trying to kill dante for once.
@@hectorcofrevaldes8501 In Visions of V, the moment right before the clash in Vergils mind, V tells Vergil that his brother is wanting to play again like when the were kids. IMO that shows Vergil had a different idea of their clash. Dante had gone mad over hearing the name Vergil and almost even went DT bc of how pissed he got hearing the name Vergil. It shows to me that over the years, Dante had grown to hate Vergil irrationally, as going as far as striking him down immediately as soon as reforming, even V was afraid of this when considering revealing his true identity. Same would go for Vergil bc I mean let’s face it, god knows how long trapped in Hell and the only thing you’re left with is hate of the person who stopped you from having it all last second. But V changed that, and instead of going to family therapy and talking it out, Vergil thought this was the only way to talk to him, like when they were kids.
Vergil is not that Debt, he wanted to end this rivalry, even told dante if he beat nero that means he is stronger than Dante, yet nero won. "Vergil was tied" no he wasnt, he and Dante were about to BEGIN their true fight, the SIN DT for fuck sake I hate how fanboys just boil down fights as NUMBERS battle. never about circutances, experiences, set of abilities, of the surroundings at the time no none of that, I'm not saying that Nero suddenly just became stronger than both, no, he just had the abilities he needed to beat Vergil and vergil only has Yamato he does not have his other weapons and he fighting style is very rigid, while nero as dante can adapt. Canonwise Nero never beat Dante once, even in 4 after his boss fight Dante is not taking nero seriously, he doesn't even DT but Vergil Does and Nero also finally gets his own DT, he is finally almost fighting the Sparta Brothers on the same playfield, but Nero DT is nothing like Dante's or Vergil's, heck neither saw it coming, as result Nero had everything he needed to Win that fight. Is that simple.
I wonder what's more terrifying: The guy that becomes the best through sheer effort and unbendable will, or the one that matches that guy by atudying 10 minutes before the test? The fact that Dante can quickly match Vergil despite not having an unquenchable thirst for power, even when Vergil pretty much spends his every waking moment getting as much power as he possibly can, is a twreifying testament to just how stupidly OP Dante is. If Dante put in half the effort that Vergil does in gaining power, Vergil would have zero chance in defeating him. Lol. I guess he's lucky that Dante's nature is so lax and aloof.
In fairness it’s not like Dante stagnates I’m pretty sure him just fighting demons constantly makes him stronger despite his drive not being on Vergils level
it depends on the demon and monsters in Mundus King, in fact the same thing as Dante and Nero, killing demons and monsters takes a long time to kill, in fact, Vergil and Dante and Nero in dm5 prisisa 5 hit 10 hit or 20 hit
In regards to Vergil's fight against Nero at the end of DMC5, not only was Vergil already weakened from fighting Dante, but he also wasn't fighting Nero seriously. He had been made aware of the fact that Nero was his son already, and this fight was his way of getting a measure of Nero's potential. It was more of a sparring match than a battle to the death, and Vergil getting pushed back was a result of Nero surpassing Vergil's expectations. While Nero is still far, far weaker than Vergil at this point, Nero does well enough to earn his father's respect, which is probably why Vergil decides to team up with Dante to fix the mess that he had created even though moments earlier he didn't really care about the consequences and simply was after power at any cost. His change of heart was a result of him doing his son a favor. As an aside, everyone jokes about Vergil being a deadbeat dad, but the guy legit didn't even know he had a son until Dante told him. He had no deep connection to Nero's mother, and Nero's conception was probably the result of a one night stand in a clouded night of passion during which a very unlucky condom was unable to defeat Vergil's power.
@@NamesSmeg That would probably be because it's a shonen action game and not a porno. That, and Dante's the president of the virgin forever club eating pizza alone in the dark.
I am INCREDIBLY curious about Nero's mom ever since someone proposed she could have some sort of priestess relation, hence Nero's devil trigger looking more "angelic" than his relatives
@@dhampir_days Pretty much everyone from where Nero grew up worships the same religion in which they worship Sparda as if he were a god. It's for that very reason that Vergil was investigating the place to begin with. The details of how he met Nero's mother and what exactly happened between them are not very clear right now, but if she was any kind of priestess it definitely wasn't anything truly holy that she was worshipping. My speculation on the matter is that Nero's DT looks the way it does because in regards to blood, he's got more concentrated humanity than either Dante or Vergil. As the grandson of Sparda and the son of Vergil, he's got a lot more human DNA than demon DNA, which hypothetically might bring him slightly "closer to god" than Dante and Vergil. Depending on how much the series chooses to borrow from Judaism, Islam, and Christianity, the difference between an angel and a demon might be a much more blurry line than someone might expect.
Dante still laying on the floor throughout the whole vergil and nero fight confirms just how weakened and exhausted vergil and dante were due to their battle. Nero is not even on mundus level yet
I dunno, I think pretty highly of Vergil, let's see... I dunno, I think in "metaphysical" terms, the soul, anyone's soul is very powerful, even if we are felled by bullets and blades, but Yamato, like any good mcguffin, or weapon for a warrior, is like a conduit that can channel the spirit and amplify them both, so is ultimately, stronger than soul-edge, I mean, force-edge. By feats and mystery alone. Utility is a factor people underestimate in value as opposed to raw potential. And in a game with a million tools for a million jobs, no one devils arm can solve them all (as good as Yamato can).
There`s Dante / Vergil / Nero tier: 1. If *9D souls* scan was ACTUALLY faked - *Low Complex Multiversal (5D)* 2. If entire DMC verse is 9D - *High Complex Multiversal (11D)* 3.
@@NamesSmegyeah it was stated that Vergil during dmc 3 could definitely defeat Mundus if he wasn't weakened after fighting Dante.
practically jumped when i saw you posted this. great video once again. i hadn't even considered that the mirage edge was so powerful because of the 9D scaling before. and vergil was not only tired from fighting dante previously, but he was also most likely testing his son's strength. he's much more passive in his fight with nero than he is in his fight with dante. also i've seen the argument that vergil has immeasurable speed but i honestly think it could go either way between inaccessible and immeasurable. but that would also mean that same speed scaling applies to dante since he'd naturally have to be almost a complete equal to vergil stat wise.
Let's not forget that while on the verge of death when you play as Vergil in DMC5, there's a cutscene where he's confronted by a couple of demons, and he just swiftly cuts them down with no effort.
this is the true power of not paying child support and no wonder nero is so strong, he never receive child support.
Well vergil is not called the alpha and omega for nothing sure...
aaaand the Storm that is approaching too
I think you’re forgetting that both the Rebellion and Yamato are both extensions of their respective owner’s demonic energy, which is directly connected to their soul.
Aren't both Yamato and Rebellion heirlooms passed down by Sparda to his sons?
@@EternalVirgin Sparda split his energy into three swords, The Sparda, the Rebellion, and the Yamato.
That's a big reason why Dante got such a massive power boost when he unlocked Sin Devil Trigger, he absorbed two of those swords into himself.
@@moonmelonsWhile Urizen (Vergil's demon side) consumed the qlipoth fruit which gave Urizen power on the same level or even stronger than Mundus. And once V combines with Urizen, his true power was finally unleashed that allowed him to match Dante equally.
Fun fact DMC 5 archives tell that sparda split his power into the 3 swords rebellion , force edge and Yamato
So even the swords themselves have more power than most of the characters in pop culture
The child support evader, and still to this day does not have to pay it since he’s stuck in hell with Dante, which was his master plan all along
i always believed that vergil made his doppelganger in the same manner he made his mirage edge.
so in my head cannon i believed vergil simply made a much stronger version of his normal summoned swords and with the same technique he made his doppelganger so he can should be able to make things like spears bows maces and even an armor around him kinda like suasuke with his susano
on another note i believe that the last fight in dmc 5 was much much more than just a fight. vergil says if i BEAT nero i beat you agreed dante ? he didnt intend to kill he just wanted to see how strong nero actually is and all nero wanted to do was to protect his new found family and dante knew this so he just let the two of them fight as in the family of sparda fighting is the best form of bonding
vergil wanted someone to protect and love him then nero comes and says no one is dying today and i believe that made vergil change. he began to trust and love nero and accept him as his son. he gave him his book as a sign of acceptance trust.
i'm sure vergil could absolutely shred nero but it was not the point. i'm just glad that nero made vergil and dante stop hating each other and brought them peace. he got his seal of approval from dante and vergil and in the end he became a great character with a lot of growth and is a fan favorite now. capcom really did him good
hope to see the family of sparda unite one more time to kill mundus for good
I agree, I think Vergil vs Nero fight was, in a very sparda way, father and son bonding, not an actual serious battle.
Wonderful interpretation!
I found a piece of information, Vergil himself ripped off Nero’s arm that was considered indestructible
He transcended his own series and inspired every 3 fight rival from then on. Definitely a god.
Vergil cut his son arm off and started murdering an entire town.
May I just say that I love your videos! You explain everything very well. You earned a new sub!

I find it hard to believe that nero was stronger than dante in dmc4 or 5. Dante treated him like fodder that whole game.
Nero was definitely stronger in DMC4 but lacks the control and experience that Dante had so Dante just plays around and taught nero to make mistakes heck Dante could stop the savoir punch but nero could out right push it back
You realize he has the potential to be stronger than both of them? He didn't even know he could get his arm back, really its just lack of experience
He was only SPECULATED to be stronger physically. As in pure strength. His demonic power and overall power was and still is nowhere near Dantes.
@DarkSlayer487 see I even find THAT hard to believe cause Dante caught nero's punches. And nero was trying to pull his arm away with all his might, Dante wasn't even budging. Dante played with nero that whole game.
He's Heimdall in God of War Ragnarok. But calm, collective, and silent version.
Hes called the alpha and the omega in dmc5. Hes literally a god

Ok then, I thought Anos' sword was powerful but now understanding how powerful Vergil is, Venuzdonoa is a toothpick in comparison
Bro even Rimuru is a cannon fodder for Sparda family and Rimuru(WN ver and LN ver,LN ver is more powerful than WN ver) can beat Anos easily.
Yo Vergil is scale to high complex multiversal man

"False alarm, just the badass storm passing through" 😂
3:14 This could be wrong because even something like 2D to 3D is a beyond infinite distance apart in terms of scale.
“…Vergil is on the verge…”
Hah! Well done.
His chair is only building up his power as we speak its impossible to stop virgil at this point from the sheer power of the plastic chair.

The DMC characters are crazy powerful. There are some feats that Dante has done that put him in a very powerful category…
Me neither ...but not stronger than dante

*defeated the demon called nightmare. Who was created by Mundus as a weapon. It is said that nightmare was so incredibly strong. He could lift the entire demon realm, ( the demon realm has its own universe). That puts nightmare in the infinite strength category and Dante easily beat that thing.
*Defeated Pluto. Pluto was the first demon king who can travel and bypass the dimensional axis of the time stream with sheer speed. That puts Pluto at immeasurable speed and Dante managed to beat him.
*Defeated Argosax. It was said that Argosax was equal to Mundus and his mere presence alone was combining the demon realm and the human realm together.
*the dimensionality scaling of the demon realm. It is said that demons (even the weak ones) in dmc are actually 9th dimensional (note: the higher the dimensionality the more powerful that character is), putting them in a low complex multiversal.
“This was a momento left to Vergil by his daddy Sparda” gotta assume sparda went to buy milk and never came back since
Shoulda used the plastic chair mod for the background footage ngl
Vergil did Nero dirty ngl, by splitting the demon arm (yamato) not only from his muscles but from the very bones too like a FUKING PAPER BRO?!
clean quick and efficient fatherly love for a path of self discovery of inner power, what a loving guy
If death battle makes another match for Vergil
Make sure they see this video
I see Vergil as a dad that wants to escape child support
That's why Dante tells him his portal opening days are over /s
"Vergil was tied" no he wasnt, he and Dante were about to BEGIN their true fight, the SIN DT for fuck sake
I hate how fanboys just boil down fights as NUMBERS battle. never about circutances, experiences, set of abilities, of the surroundings at the time no none of that, I'm not saying that Nero suddenly just became stronger than both, no, he just had the abilities he needed to beat Vergil and vergil only has Yamato he does not have his other weapons and he fighting style is very rigid, while nero as dante can adapt.
*Takes 70 hits to kill an enemy*
it depends on the demon and monsters in Mundus King, in fact the same thing as Dante and Nero, killing demons and monsters takes a long time to kill, in fact, Vergil and Dante and Nero in dm5 prisisa 5 hit 10 hit or 20 hit
The strongest weapon is definitely the hair product Vergil uses...
The mirage edge is so powerful because you can stinger in the air
God Vergil is so cool UGH HE JUST OOZES IT
In regards to Vergil's fight against Nero at the end of DMC5, not only was Vergil already weakened from fighting Dante, but he also wasn't fighting Nero seriously.
I don't think Condoms exist in this series. So little sex happens.
@@NamesSmeg That would probably be because it's a shonen action game and not a porno. That, and Dante's the president of the virgin forever club eating pizza alone in the dark.
@@Crow_Rising I think he gave up on women in 3. He even admits he has no luck with women.
I remember that V , Urizen , and Nelo Angelo are just different forms of vergil , it could mean that he has their powers also
Dante still laying on the floor throughout the whole vergil and nero fight confirms just how weakened and exhausted vergil and dante were due to their battle.
Im actually using Vergil in a crossverse tournament this week. Gonna be pretty wild!

Is Sparda and the other casts stronger than we think?
No Sparda is weaker than we think because he sealed the other demons in the underworld instead of just killing them all like Dante could effortlessly
Spada is dumb weak (DMC universe wise) , which makes their story of him that more intriguing cause he's revered as a legend in terms of strength and deeds among demons and mortals but Dante and Vergil surpassed him soo long ago...in DMC 3 they confirmed.
