6:23 Tbf, Nero had already unlocked his imperfect "Stand" Devil Trigger in DMC4 with the help of Yamato and when he did he was pretty much going berserk just like Dante had in 3. But regaining his DT is still an impressive feat nonetheless because earlier Malphas labelled him an "empty shell" with no demonic power to speak of. I think Nero has very high potential but because all the family swords are being hogged by his dad and uncle we'll probably never see it fully or at least not for a long time.
To be fair for Nero, maybe he won’t need a sword anymore? He still has the buster, so maybe him absorbing devil arms into it, he will be able to get even stronger?
bro im losing it if he just straight make his red queen like a demon arm or something to amp himself using some core from the demons he will defeat in the future that will be soo cool
@@kitsune2152 I know right !? Him using an amped up red queen, upgraded by the best parts of the demons HE himself defeats to make something like the sword of sparda, would be so fucking cool!
If you think about it. His DT in 4 may have been an imperfect Doppelganger produced by the Yamato. Which Vergil has managed to have perfected in 5 when he got posession of his sword again.
dante's sin devil trigger is already enough of a testament to how strong Sparda is, with only 2/3rds of sparda's power he was able to beat someone amped up with both the qlipoth and the yamato, it kinda makes you think what did sparda do to get that strong even being before raising the twins and being able to stand up against mundus.
But still crazy hall Vergil demon half even with the Qlipoth fruit and Yamato still lost to his Brother Dante but as soon as Vergil mered with his Human half and Demon half he was able to be equal to SDT Dante with his own SDT
So the reason a half human, half demon is such a powerful existence is because the demon body and human blood is what makes them a step below those who have eaten the Qliphoth fruit? That kind of makes sense because they are an incomplete demon and incomplete human with the perfect compatibility between the two halves, something that demons often wouldn't care for because it isn't them thats getting that power but their offspring who they would fear would surpass them.
So basically, Dante and Vergil will continue to grow stronger over time, and have surpassed Sparda by a long shot. Nero, containing a larger portion of human DNA, will grow in strength faster than the twins, but he still has a long way to go to be their equal. Also I'm pretty sure that while Nero is still weaker, in terms of raw power, than the twins, there are three reasons he was able to stop their clash. First, he surprised them. Second, they were weakened from beating eachother. And third, its been shown time and again that in raw strength, Nero's Devil Bringer arms are physically stronger than the twins.
I don’t know about that buddy , clearly they were fatigued and Nero caught them by surprise. On top of the fact they aren’t trying to kill him. The twins are stronger and will ALWAYS be stronger. Nero will just be relative to their power. Just because he was more human dna doesn’t make him have “more” potential. It’s the DEMON DNA that gives the strength. The DEMON powers of Sparda synergize well with Dante and Vergil because Sparda was their Father and Rebellion and Yamato were handed to them as a keepsake clearly to help them accept theirselves more. Sparda clearly respects the humans and demons alike and doesn’t care about superiority amongst the races.
Nero is interesting mostly because his Devil Trigger form is so fundamentally different from both the Twins AND Sparda and while demons that look "almost angelic" aren't unheard of in the franchise, they've never gotten as close as Nero. If anything he reminds me most of Credo's False Angel form in DMC 4. but the kicker is that it's been confirmed by Itsuno himself that actual angels don't exist in the DMC Universe so Nero being so uncharacteristically "light" for a Demon could have some cool implications going forward.
The only downside for Nero with having more human blood. Is he may(or may not?) grow older while his uncle and father remain middle aged and at their peak longer than Nero in the coming decades to come. Which means the twins may outlive him if halfbreeds like them can die of old age.
@@gamechanger8908even then I don't doubt demon blood inherently prolongs their lifespan since demons can live for so long (honestly the human blood constantly feeding the demon sides of the twins and the nephew probably in of itself is gonna end up granting them a longer lifespan because if it's the source of a demons strength a lack of it will probably leave one frail and open to passing on which may be what happened to sparda)
We don't know what happened to him, or what the consequences for his absence were in both worlds. My bet is that he's either sealed away in the deepest pits of hell, or was flung into the future by Mundus ala Samurai Jack. Dante and Vergil being in the demon world now might mean that the next dmc or the one after will finally be about the brothers' journey to unlock the mysteries of their father's disappearance.
Good video man. I heard a theory before for the reason why Dante and Sparta are so strong, In DMC demons are selfish beings, tthey fight only for themselves. If a demons choses to fight for someone else they gain a massive bost in power. Sparta was very powerfull, but when he decides to fight for humanity he became so poweful that he defeated Mundus and his army alone. In DMC3 Dante losses to Vergil in the first fight, ties the second, and wins the third when he decides to figh his brother to protec inocents fron the consequences of Vergil's actions.
It us a matter of will. It is reflected in the notes of nico in dmc5 when commenting about the will of demons changing their form. Ergo, the power to protect or enveloping a will greater than your own...
What made Nero to unlock his own Maijin Devil trigger (ig) is his emotion... Since the begining he always wanted to protect those who are close and kind to him.... Kyrie and Kredo's parents took his care when everyone bullied him cause they knew that Nero's mother was a prostitute which many assumed but when Kyrie's and kredo's parents died by the artificial demons created by Agnus So his emotion makes him stronger Nero too had a hungry for power ..but unlike Vergil he just wanted to protects his close peoples
@@MEM-brain yah... Shin majin is same.... But the difference is that Nero didn't unlocked his devil trigger by stabbing himself or getting stabbed {by a devil arm of Sparda)}... Vergil and Dante both had to get stabbed and feed some of their bloods to their devil arms ..... When Dante's house was ambushed by demons of Mundus.... Dante's mother hide Dante to a closet and died when she was looking for Vergil.... Shockingly where Vergil was just outside their house where he got interfered by some demons too.... But Vergil somehow or accidentally summoned the Yamato and sooner been getting defeated and got stabbed to the chest with the Yamato by those demons....and unlocked his Devil Trigger at the age of 8 and since then he's owning it's power (not sin devil trigger)... And later Dante unlocked his devil trigger by getting stabbed by his Rebellion (by Vergil)....in DMC 3.... Nero's case is different...... devil may cry origin really interest me so much....
Right it also means the older they get the stronger they get, at a theoretically exponential rate, not to mention the Qliphoth tree giving them both a boost
Try to get a example of demon power to make Sanctus more powerful God from Sparda by using Dante's father's Devil Sword and Agnus use the Yamato to open the gates of hell
You just confirmed my theory about "dante's and vergil's demon side feeding of their human side increasing their power". Like trish mensioned human blood is the source of demons power, so dante, vergil and nero becoming more powerful trough age makes sense.
It also explains Nero's insane rate of growth, as his demon side is having a straight up feast compared to Dante and Vergil. Comparatively 3x the human blood to draw from.
@@Zac_Frost you think Nero is 1/4 demon? That part has always confused me. 1/4 makes sense, because Vergil and Dante are 1/2 demons, but according to Nico he is 1/3 demon.
So in a sense, they’re living Qliphoth Fruits? Wonder if the quality of their blood goes up overtime, like a drop of their blood is equivalent to 100 humans.
Ah, so basically Dante and Vergil is Androids 17 and 18, equipped with perpetual generator so they have near infinite energy. Dante and Vergil had a human heart, metaphorically they got morals and ambitions a drive to become strong, physically they got a perpetual energy for demon powers
This is a very scientific explanation but I feel like you overlook the magic aspect of DMC. Throughout the franchise it is stated that having a human soul is something special amd a great source of power. The only reason humans are weak is because of their bodies being too frail to harness that power. As we've been shown, demons like Sparda or Trish can develop their own human souls. So maybe part of Nero's strength is both because of his unique biology but also because of his emotions as he is a lot more dramatic than his father and uncle.
I feel like devil sword Dante and the Yamato could be combined to Sparda's true weapon since I'm pretty sure he split his power between the three blades
Since most demons have types, breeds, and species in the series, it's my headcanon that Sparda was part of an ancient powerful race of demon making Dante Vergil, and Nero half of whatever demon that is ( like a Nephilim from DmC parallel) who is or is one of the last of his kind. Possibly the rest of or most were slain by Sparda himself during his rebellion being that they were sided with Mundus. Which I think would add an interesting dynamic to Sparda's character that he had to murder his own kin, perhaps some being friends or family to stand up for what he believed in. Something like a DMC 6 I'd like to see that explored in.
I always figured that the true strength for demons is love. Love unlocks power inherent in a demon. Sparta became more powerful than Mundus when he fought for the human race. Dante defeated Vergil when he fought to save Virgil from himself while Virgil fought only for himself. Nero, who grew up with Kyrie already had a reason to fight and protect, unlocked his Devil Trigger once he decided to save his father and uncle from themselves. There is strength in love. Dante knew it. Nero lives it. Perhaps one day, Virgil will learn it too.
Nero first devil trigger was in devil may cry 4 during mission 6 when you find the Yamato broke in half, he repairs it, calls it to him and unleashes his first form of devil trigger
Appreciate the information man awesome avatar and in devil may cry 4 in the art book Nero was supposed to become his perfect devil trigger just something I find cool as hell
IMO Devil Trigger is just the form halves/hybrids take when they unleash their Devils, Vergil was able to release his easily because he already embraced his Devil side but Dante took until he was 19 to embrace his devil side when he was forced to realize that he needed something else that he kept running away from to stop his brother's plans, Rebellion awakes because Dante accepted his Devil side (Rebellion, contrary to its name, helps connect the weilder the demonic side with their human side)
I like the of human blood=more power for demons. So it’s constantly feeding then strength. With Nero it being in raw physical strength and the twins it’s more of their demonic magic and expirence.
Like Arkhams head canon theory. That he purposefully sought after Lady's mother for his evil gains. I also think Sparda like Arkham, sought after a human bride to conceive children. So that he could have beings that had infinite power without resorting to blood consumption like other demons, including himself. He probably figured this out a long time ago, maybe it was malicious maybe it wasn't. We'll never know. As for power, I think the head canon is pretty prevalent that the more intune with their humanity the Sparda sons are. The stronger they become. Dante while being weaker than Vergil in DMC 3 defeated Vergil by accepting his responsibilities and humanity through Lady's story. Nero being far more entwined with his humanity than either of the twins, allowed him to over power them(Dante and Vergil were already weakened. F u fight me). Great video. ❤
For any of the Sparda sons to gain power via stabbing, they need the Rebellion and Force Edge like what happened to Dante. If any of the Sparda sons stab themselves with Sparda's sword, they're just stabbing themselves, no power gained, as in order to gain power from it, they need a catalyst, namely the rebellion
If they make Devil May Cry 6, I really think it should be about Sparda. Dante, Vergil, and Nero’s stories have all been told and I don’t know what more we can get out of them. Sparda on the other hand is such an unknown despite being so important to the series.
Well the game's say that human blood makes Demons stronger. Being half human, they have human blood being made in their own body, meaning they just get stronger by simply existing. Then there is also the fact they are fighting to protect somebody, so that gives a good adrenaline shot that most Demon's lack.
there are two things to consider 1 - Dante is not uncrontrolled in his sin devil trigger form we can see that in many ocassions in the games cutscenes 2 - Now that Devil Sword Dante is part of Dante. he does not necesseraly need to have a devil arm for him to transform now that he can just materalize his sword. 3 - Rebellion is capable of absorv/fuse
That makes me wonder if Eva and Nero's mother ever faced complications due to that during their pregnancies 🤔 they carried demon spawn after all, Eva even carried *two* half bloods! That's one strong ass woman
Here’s how always I saw it: DMC5’s explanation of how demonic power is acquired, being human blood, then Dante and Vergil are literally their own power sources. Start embracing your demonic heritage, and they’ll start transforming your human blood into power. Embrace it too much, and the rate at which it can draw power from your human blood staggers. Achieving perfect balance between the two and pushing it further is the perfect example of how Nero is able to keep up with both Dante and Vergil. If Nero managed to give Dante the most difficult fights during his time in Fortuna at the age of 19 despite Dante’s own age being around 39, the kid literally forcing Dante to need to stop the fight earlier than however long it could’ve dragged out for so he can catch his breath, then I’d think Nero having more human blood than Dante and Vergil is giving him a seriously considerable boost in power. He only needs to embrace his demon side more because of that increased human heritage, and when he does, he’ll exceed them both
The way I think about it is that Demon blood gives a higher base of power but Human blood gives faster improvement. Dante and Vergil started off damn strong, and events throughout the games combined with their demon blood feeding on their human blood made them WAY stronger than Nero for a long time. But since Nero is 1/4 demon and 3/4 human, he started off weaker, but he's gonna improve a lot faster. Hell, he started off the game getting oneshotted by Vergil, dunked on by Urizen, and at the end of the game he's approaching Dante and Vergil, possibly matching or exceeding them in DT. If that fucker ever gets his hands on SDT, then the twins are getting dethroned.
I have a question. Should not Nero be weaker than Dante and Vergil in the case of feeding demonic power. Like look at V. He was dying out because of having low demonic powers.
How sick would it be if DMC introduced something like rogue angels in search of demon power because they know how incredible it is, then maybe even devil angel hybrids.
The unlocking of the devil trigger is from an intense need. Both Dante and Virgil had near death experiences that unlocked their's but Nero's was more from his intense desire to stop Dante and Virgil from killing each other. I would assume a sufficient amount of stress and adrenaline is what unlocks it. Kind of like how there are stories of teenagers or wive's lifting vehicles off of their dad or husband
Tbh, we need sequel stories for sparda before entering dmc6 (if they have plan tho) I have a gut feeling that sparda is lurking in the underworld( although they said sparda is alrdy dead)dante and virgil they are both in the underworld (hoping they meet their father) And Dmc6 revolve around nero being a demon hunter.
Information on sparda makes it seems like the fight between him and the mundus was very one-sided he even sealed away his own power because he feared how fast and exponentially his own power was growing.
with nero being 3/4 human and 1/4 demon i feel like he would get stronger at the same rate as vergil and dante there's more "food" but less demon to eat the "food"
Technically Nero was absorbing sparda's powers given he had the yamato fused to his arm as a child (iirc) up to when it was taken from him in DMC5 so to say he didnt get an amp from sparda power or a devil arm is slightly askew.

Tbf, Nero had already unlocked his imperfect "Stand" Devil Trigger in DMC4 with the help of Yamato and when he did he was pretty much going berserk just like Dante had in 3.
Great to meet another fan of the DMC universe. The lineage of Sparda is a really interesting one.
dante's sin devil trigger is already enough of a testament to how strong Sparda is, with only 2/3rds of sparda's power he was able to beat someone amped up with both the qlipoth and the yamato, it kinda makes you think what did sparda do to get that strong even being before raising the twins and being able to stand up against mundus.
Basically
Demon needs power
Human blood=power
Sparda+wife whos name i forgot=Half demon+half human
Half demon+half human=POWER
@@shyysteebleedemNero certainly has the potential to surpass them.
I always tried to make sense of this. I guess I never paid enough attention to the in-game story. Masterfully done, sir!
Glad this helped!

We need a prequel game where we play as sparda
Would be cool but some would ague that it would make the legend theme less ambiguous and could be the reason on why we wont get it.
If he does ever get voiced. It'd be neat if it was Drew Combs to voice him.
It's maybe another matter that make them being so powerful. Having more than one reason for why they're so strong is good thing
What made Nero to unlock his own Maijin Devil trigger (ig) is his emotion...
Since the begining he always wanted to protect those who are close and kind to him....
Kyrie and Kredo's parents took his care when everyone bullied him cause they knew that Nero's mother was a prostitute which many assumed
but when Kyrie's and kredo's parents died by the artificial demons created by Agnus
So his emotion makes him stronger
Nero too had a hungry for power ..but unlike Vergil he just wanted to protects his close peoples
Ya know that majin and devil mean the same thing?
"Nero without a Devil Arm" Thank you! Devil May Cry 6 is all but guaranteed

HOW ARE GOOD MEN LIKE ME SUPPOSED TO GATEKEEP BUILD-A-BEAR
Their human blood supplying their demon halves with an continuously flowing reserve of strength is such a cool way of thinking about it!
Right it also means the older they get the stronger they get, at a theoretically exponential rate, not to mention the Qliphoth tree giving them both a boost
so thats why agnus ask why dante is much superior than him even though he fully embraces his demonic power.
Try to get a example of demon power to make Sanctus more powerful God from Sparda by using Dante's father's Devil Sword and Agnus use the Yamato to open the gates of hell
PLEASE EPISODE ABOUT WHY SPARDA WAS SO POWERFULL
Soooo needed to see videos like this explaining more of one of my favorite franchises I think about dmc everyday
Nero's devil trigger reminds me of Onimusha
So in a sense, they’re living Qliphoth Fruits? Wonder if the quality of their blood goes up overtime, like a drop of their blood is equivalent to 100 humans.
Why descendant of Sparda is so Powerful? Because Sparda awakened a Power similar to Power of Hope. And his descendants inherited it.
Ah, so basically Dante and Vergil is Androids 17 and 18, equipped with perpetual generator so they have near infinite energy.
Dante and Vergil had a human heart, metaphorically they got morals and ambitions a drive to become strong, physically they got a perpetual energy for demon powers
I feel the reason why Nero was more in-control than Dante during their first Devil Trigger is because Nero is more human than demon by composition
premieres on my birthday, nice
Aye! Happy early Birthday!
@@DigitaltYT thank you!
It makes me wonder if Nero's descendants would get stronger as they become more and more human or weaker.
@@Nekogami04 I think majin would be a fitting name for Sparda's species being that was the name of Dante's ultimate DT in DMC 2.
It's fanbase that makes them powerful
I always figured that the true strength for demons is love. Love unlocks power inherent in a demon. Sparta became more powerful than Mundus when he fought for the human race. Dante defeated Vergil when he fought to save Virgil from himself while Virgil fought only for himself.
Nero, who grew up with Kyrie already had a reason to fight and protect, unlocked his Devil Trigger once he decided to save his father and uncle from themselves. There is strength in love. Dante knew it. Nero lives it. Perhaps one day, Virgil will learn it too.
If Devil May Cry 6 come out I bet there will be a Sin Devil Trigger for Nero
DMC 6 should be a prequel about sparda
it gets a gauntlet weapon that is just nero punching people
Also a thing to note is that sparda defeated argosax when most of his demonic powers where already sealed away
Nero having more human blood but less demon, could even out, more fuel less engine? As opposed to Dante and Virgil, equal fuel and engine
You are also powerful cause you upload this video for Dmc Fans

Appreciate the information man awesome avatar and in devil may cry 4 in the art book Nero was supposed to become his perfect devil trigger just something I find cool as hell
So this begs the question: If Sparda is a major reason that the brothers are so busted. HOW IS THE HELL DID SPARDA GET STRONG ENOUGH TO BE SO BUSTED!?
Vergil : I need more power
Dante : I need more pizza
Nero which one 🤔
"I need child support"
Isnt sparda still alive and just chilling somewhere
They should make a prequel where you play as sparta or the next dmc sparta comes back somehow
Vergil power, come from the chair, the plot of DMC5 is too get the fruit to summon the infinite chair attack.
I just wanna see Nero's Sin Devil Trigger
It's gonna look godly
I do wonder if Virgil did what Dante did. Hypothetically, if Virgil stabbed himself with sparda’s sword. I would love to see how that plays out tbf
@@Mordekaiser0305 hmmmmm very true but it’s was hypothetical

"Plot armor, son. It hardens in response to swords impaling me through the chest."

I always thought it's about the human blood in their veins especially in DMC5.
The thing I don’t like in terms of looks is that Sparda Demon forms are akin to a “bug.” As for Dante, Vergil, and Nero are more akin to a Dragon. 😜
This video is my favorite of the Underworld - Sparda, probably.
If they make Devil May Cry 6, I really think it should be about Sparda. Dante, Vergil, and Nero’s stories have all been told and I don’t know what more we can get out of them. Sparda on the other hand is such an unknown despite being so important to the series.
Nero's hasn't been finished though, we have things that aren't answered.
Well the game's say that human blood makes Demons stronger.
Being half human, they have human blood being made in their own body, meaning they just get stronger by simply existing.
Then there is also the fact they are fighting to protect somebody, so that gives a good adrenaline shot that most Demon's lack.
Reminds me of the power scaling with the symbiotes in marvel
there are two things to consider
1 - Dante is not uncrontrolled in his sin devil trigger form we can see that in many ocassions in the games cutscenes
2 - Now that Devil Sword Dante is part of Dante. he does not necesseraly need to have a devil arm for him to transform now that he can just materalize his sword.
3 - Rebellion is capable of absorv/fuse
You are a great youtuber i enjoy watching youre videos
Glad to hear it!
That makes me wonder if Eva and Nero's mother ever faced complications due to that during their pregnancies 🤔 they carried demon spawn after all, Eva even carried *two* half bloods!
That's one strong ass woman
I'm extremely doubtful that was the case.
Also Rosa was an umbra witch giving them a good boost.
He only needs to embrace his demon side more because of that increased human heritage, and when he does, he’ll exceed them both
When i saw the title, i literally said,
"gee i dont know, maybe because sparda can seal mundus away AND argosax"
The next DMC is really should be Sparda story. Maybe something like "DMC6: Origins" or something like that.
I have been going back and forth of creating a video on this with what we know, and speculating on the things we don’t know.
I always liked the quote that Sparda "woke up to justice"
I'd love a video talking about Ebony and Ivory (Dante's handguns).
So basically being a half demon is like hooking your demon powers to a nuclear battery
couldn't have said it any better. great vid!

Tbh, we need sequel stories for sparda before entering dmc6 (if they have plan tho)
I have a gut feeling that sparda is lurking in the underworld( although they said sparda is alrdy dead)dante and virgil they are both in the underworld (hoping they meet their father) And Dmc6 revolve around nero being a demon hunter.
The yamato really should fuse back to the OG sword in DMC 6.
Information on sparda makes it seems like the fight between him and the mundus was very one-sided he even sealed away his own power because he feared how fast and exponentially his own power was growing.
with nero being 3/4 human and 1/4 demon i feel like he would get stronger at the same rate as vergil and dante
there's more "food" but less demon to eat the "food"
Still would love a version on Sparda
A “Sparda is stronger than you think”?
Technically Nero was absorbing sparda's powers given he had the yamato fused to his arm as a child (iirc) up to when it was taken from him in DMC5 so to say he didnt get an amp from sparda power or a devil arm is slightly askew.
I feel like one day in some shape or form
Nero may get Sin DT later on and might have a chance to even beat both sons of sparda
Vergil is the most badass ever
It’s the motivation what makes Vergil so POWERful
I hope dmc 6 is a prequel of Sparda i would love that lol
