All the power they wield is technically spartan bro. The Yamato, rebellion, and soarda sword are all blades Sparta mastered. Hes so op he fave em amulets as well to amp em.
Lol no. Then Yamato, rebellion and the blade of sparda are all literally spardas powers that he had split and made into weapons for his sons to use. He could literally use the abilities of the Yamato etc without relying on a weapon to channel it
When Dante charges Urizen with the Sparda sword, for a split second you can see he destroys the barrier because the Yamato shield shatters. Yamato and Rebellion aren't 1/3 of Sparda's power. The lion share of his power was sealed in the main sword. My theory is that Dante broke the shield but remnants of his father's soul is still in the sword. His father would not strike down and kill one of his own sons. That's my theory. Also, Urizen is getting pumped full of human blood at this stage. This is why he is able to beat Dante. It's stated in game that human blood amplifies demons powers. Explains why half of Vergil could beat a full Dante.
I'd agree up until the 3 descendants because they succeeded where he failed. Until we get a sparda game we will never know just how powerful he was. But I do find it strange that he didn't completely end the demons he fought unless he just assumed one day his son would finish the job
If I remeber correctly, Capcom confirmed a while back that when Dante and Vergil unlocked their Sin Devil Trigger they were stronger then their father, maybe even before they unlocked it too.
Yep it says in DMC4 that Dante surpassed Sparda. Vergil is of course on par with Dante and in DMC5 all 3 protagonists seemed pretty evenly matched. So they're all more powerful than Sparda.

If Nero ever has a daughter, who’s strong like him, but more like her mother. What kind of power would this first female Sparda would have? I can tell that she would summon Yamato to her hand just like her father did in the 4th game. While also weirding the Devil Sword Dante for some assist. While her Devil Trigger form would be like her father’s mix with Kasumi’s Devil Form from Tekken 7.
Urizen bodied the roster because he was sitting on throne fromm qliphtoth tree Which provided him with absurd amount of human blood and as human blood is complementary to demons it provided insane power boost to urizen
I wonder how Sparda got that powerful to begin with. Like if he was able to overthrow the king before he woke up to justice why wasn't he a king himself?
Something I find fascinating about DMC Sparda Lore, is that we learn that Sparda was actually more powerful than previously believed, because almost every game tells us how he nerfed himself. DMC1 showed us that Force Edge needed the two halves of the Perfect Amulet to create the sword Sparda. In DMC3 we learn that he removed a majority of his demonic power into his sword. And now we learn that he split his sword into three, meaning we still don’t know what his sword’s true form is, and even with all the nerfs, he’s still capable of taking on Demon Lords.
Makes me think if Sparda turned himself into these weapons intentionally like how other demons were willing to become Dantes weapon.. He did not really disappear but turned himself into a weapon because he knows his twin can handle the world.
Actually we have seen Sparta in the flesh and it's the dark Knight Sparta costume that you can unlock for Dante both throughout devil May cry 1 3 4 but sadly not five
People keep forgetting that both of the twins are sucking at their father's tit by using the rebellion and the Yamato without either of the swords they wouldn't be able to reach their full potential. which interestingly enough had a greater purpose to each one of the twins as Dante used the rebellion to combine fully with his demonic blood and Virgil used his to separate v from his demonic side. unless sparda had some serious foresight or he knew something like this was going to happen everyone keeps forgetting about that he's way more powerful then what we think he is especially since he split his sword into three pieces we never get to see the completed devil sword Sparta as well i don't know. we're hearing a lot of shit from the horse's mouth especially from Dante and Virgil considering both of them were kids and it would be impossible for them to know if he was holding back all that time my question is why is he so powerful? So powerful he was able to fight mundas and all of hell by himself and seal them all away. demons are powerful in DMC so much so that fodder demons can rip through scores of humans without an issue humans need extremely powerful weapons or weapons made from demons to even hurt them and somehow sparda is a above not only them but higher ranking demons as well his blood is a testament to his strength look at both of his sons they're only half demon and they were able to kill scores of demons without trying almost unkillable in every sense of the word hell his own grandson who's a quarter of that can grow back limbs maybe even having the potential to grow stronger than both his father and uncle. he doesn't sound like a regular demon in the slightest he was a paragon of his species and I don't believe for a moment he's truly dead maybe he's waiting to make his appearance again.... I don't know at the end of the day this is just schizophrenic rambling about a character we've never seen so take everything I've said with grain of salt
But since vergil and dante are part human they possess a human soul which is a 9th dimensional thing sparda is full demon and wouldn't have it wouldn't that make them more powerful
Not exactly because remember Dante explains in novels and the anime that demons can have souls as well plus their existence is their soul and Demons can interact absorb and destroy human souls so they have 9D+ AP hax and other things
@@derpyVfoxoX6 So it doesn't specify just human souls it just says the soul so it would mean any being who has it. Since Dante even says in the anime some demons are capable of obtaining a soul.
So how is sparda stronger than dante and vergil? Are you saying that dante's power up with Devil Sword Dante means he has 2/3rds of spardas power? I guess this would line up because vergil has the yamato + qliphoth fruit So i guess my confusion is because i was under the impression that sparda had a fight with mundus that he almost lost, but due to his higher skill in combat and his willpower he managed a victory. This, plus dante always being compared to sparda in dmc 1 and then taking out argosax in base, i assumed he was at least on spardas level if not surpassed him at that point Also with dante + the devil sword sparda not being enough to beat urizen, i kind of got the motif that sparda had been surpassed Speaking of that, was urizen really only as strong as vergil was from dmc 3? If he hadn't gotten any other power ups? Im gonna rewatch that segment and see if i can answer my own questions
So for the who's stronger Dante would be, in the Lore Mundus was stated at full power to be a rival to Argosax (the blob form in DMC2) we know Sparda had struggled with Mundus when he was at full power Dante in DMC2 beats not only Argosax (blob form) but the Despair embodied (The orange Angelic looking form) with one shot solidifying Dante as the strongest of the sparda lineage at the time. As for the Urizen question he wasn't as strong as DMC3 Vergil it'd be more he was as strong as a weakened DMC1 Vergil before he ate the fruit.
The shared moves among the Spardas are basically family inherited. Sword Projections, Pyromancy, Teleportation, Flight, DT Explosion, Weapon Absorbtion...
Sparda Prime is pure power and absolute destruction. While Vergil and Dante might only have just a bit less, they compensate with skill and the privilege of being "weaker", it compells growth in mind and heart, allowing them to be equal to Sparda or stronger. And then Nero almost equal to physical prowess, but not skill, not yet. But Nero can not really be quite equal simply because of the exception of their perfect SDT, also the legendary swords they have.
Nero could probably achieve a devil arm of his own and an SDT at some point. Also Sparda is definitely more skilled then Dante dudes straight up said to be the best swordsman ever
We can argue about Sparda getting surpassed by Dante after the third game(Mundus game is chronologically 3rd game). But By the time we reach Sin DT Dante, no, even prologue Urizen turns Mundus Argosax and Sparda into his minions.
Every character has different power ceiling so I wouldnt get too attached to the swords. You can think of a sword as a multiplier or flat increase in power, and for either of those you need high base power. Nero is 75% human and hes the strongest character in the verse, so the hybrid mutation also plays the part in total power. Sparda sealed his power in the swords. Dante had same base through the entire dmc 5 game, when he aquired DSDante, the flat increase or the multiplier got bigger, he went from 33% bonus to 66% bonus and that was enough to overpower post-fruit Urizen. Dante and Vergil were evenly matched before Nero showed up. Which means that Vergil getting his “humanity” back is bigger power multiplier than Yamato + Fruit, which are equal to Rebellion + Sparda merging into one sword. Nero who is 25% more human than his father and uncle stopped their full power swings with his bare hands. 25% more humanity outperforms DSD, Qlipoth Fruit, Yamato and SDT. Sorry for long reply, but I need you to understand that twins literally mutilate 100% Sparda and Nero can wipe him out of existance just by flapping his devil wings. Thanks 😮
Lets ignore my factual reply and go with your own narrative which is the real cuteness here. Sparda went through great lengths to seal underworld, no questions asked. But he also went out of his way to SEAL MUNDUS instead of outright killing him, which implies he wasnt strong enough to do so. You call it pacifist mode but he had to abuse mechanics to seal his opponents because he isnt strong enough. My bad, he wasnt strong enough cuz he gone. @@Loriddian
Nope... Sparda really did split his power into 3 swords. If he didn't do it he would have result a heavy earthquake, thunderstorm, tidal waves he would doom earth. Because his power is a sin
I thought he suppose to be a demon Gabriel. You know Gabriel with the sword that splits life and death, Sparda with the sword that splits the demon and human world?
I believe that Dante alone has surpassed Sparda. He has his father's powers and his mother's heart. Nero might come second as he prevented Dante & Vergil from clashing into each other while they are in their SDT forms.
DT Nero slaps SDT Dante and its not even close. Even if you argue Dante and Vergil were tired from their fights, Vergil who ate the fruit and gained SDT couldnt comprehend Neros power, and mind you Dante and Vergil held nothing back when they went at each other in the cutscene
If the question is raw power, then at least Dante and Virgil have surpassed Sparda. The fruit gave Virgil a bigger power boost then absorbing Sparda did for Dante. Jury is out on Nero as while he can back hand Dante, Dante gets knocked around constantly. Him cracking a joke probably means he is no longer taking it seriously. Fighting Virgil is a good mark, but the question is if he maintains that power level, or it starts to normalize. Post final seems to indicate it goes down a bit.
I explained in my other comment that humanity plays big part in power of the characters, Vergil getting his humanity back is greater power increase than Urizen eating the fruit. Urizen got beaten by Dante, who is equal to Vergil in credit scene, while Nero is stronger than both of them, he stopped their full power swings. Also to rub it in, prologue Urizen turns Mundus, Argosax and Sparda into his minions.
@@aashas8553 I need citation for that last line. I am not disagreeing with you. My point was Virgil got more power from the blood apple than Dante got from absorbing Sparda. Not that much of a surprise really. At the end of DMC 3 he was stronger than Virgil. In DMC he got a power up and in DMC 2 we see he kept it. Virgil had only gotten weaker over time. Again the question with Nero is if he keeps that level of power. After that big mission his power goes down a bit and that is in the epilogue. No more infinite DT, infinite Regen, or a damage boost. At least he has his arm back.
I believe infinite DT was just a mission specific and only in the first playthrough so it holds no value thematically. Vergil was shocked at his power because hes only 25% demon while Dante and Vergil went thorugh multiple power-ups in the game and he stopped their full power swings with his bare hands. Dantes case is simple to follow, he lost to chair Urizen in prologue, after obtaining DSD and SDT he whooped Urizen pre and post fruit. By absorbing DSSparda, Dante managed to not only surpass Urizen that has been gathering power for a whole month while Dante was in coma, he also managed to beat him post-fruit. DSDante > Fruit Urizen. Vergil mirrors Dante. After getting his humanity back he closed the gap between SDT Dante and Fruit Urizen, also gaining SDT on his own which supports the claim about them mirroring one another. Nelo Vergil wasnt weak, he was corrupted. After getting rid of his nightmares he gained a mental amp aswell, it fits really. Basically Fruit+V is same multiplier/amp as Dante+DSSparda
I commend the effort you put into these videos, but upon playing PoC I found out it's impossible for that game to be canon. I would not be surprised if elements from it are brought into the series, but PoC is such a mindfuck for the timeline it can't fit in the game's continuity

How is a pure demon gonna turn into a demon again? That flash that appears in dmd is just a demon gaining extra armor
@@ghostly_number they're not turning into a demon again genius that's simply them going on frenzied or berserk state thanks to the blood they already consumed. The appearance in of itself is not a defining factor to what you consider DT since fucking Nero in DMC4 proved that DT isn't about appearances but the boost in power and ability he didn't have self healing because of it's incomplete nature but it gave him better defense and offense, same goes for Dante and Vergil the appearance itself is just for show the real impact of DT is the healing and ability boost. Plus it's a Trigger hence the name they trigger their devil side via their human blood and that reveals their demon half and boost their ability, as for the enemies they trigger their demonic self into a frenzy due to the blood they've already consumed and boost their ability the term DT works both ways anyways.
This would be all well and good if it wasn't already canonised that dante surpassed sparda
When did the series say that?
Imagine a DMC prequel game, about Sparda
I’ve thought the same thing it needs to happen
@@CarzaEditing Some say it ruins the legend and mystique behind Sparda but I say fck that it's a video game not a movie.
@@stevenbishop1782 agreed
I mean, if you really wanna follow the joint Viewtiful Joe/Bayonetta/DMC timeline, then Sparta is so cool because Eva was an Umbran Witch who was Bayonetta level and they kicked all the ass together.
I would love a prequel where you get to play as Sparda. Think of it- having Rebellion, Yamato, AND Sparda as your base weapons? Man would be op af.
I think there was a dmc comic where Mundus ate a fruit the same one as Vergil
So Sparda was so strong he overthrew a guy with more power than him alone
That wasn't a comic that was confirmed in 5 but the before the nightmare DMC 5 novel confirms mundus had ate an incomplete version from what Vergil ate.
Just like how Dante did the same to Urizen/Vergil.
Well we have an example for that basically Dante vs Urizen ,you can see he completely rag-doll Urizen after he ate the fruit
Just waiting for Devil May 6 for him to return
We need a Sparda game
actually you forget that these guys dante and vergil are immensely powerful on their own, and human blood makes demons more powerful, so this would mean that they would be even stronger than sparda, and so they are currently far more poweerful than sparda is, this was even stated officially
All the power they wield is technically spartan bro.
The Yamato, rebellion, and soarda sword are all blades Sparta mastered.
Hes so op he fave em amulets as well to amp em.
@@mel-el5862 Your text is a mess.
Source ?
Lol no. Then Yamato, rebellion and the blade of sparda are all literally spardas powers that he had split and made into weapons for his sons to use. He could literally use the abilities of the Yamato etc without relying on a weapon to channel it
they broke the time axis with sheer speed which puts them easily into the immeasurable speed category
And they are even much faster in DMC5
I feel like Sparda is the only other character we should play as next to really tell the whole story
DMC 6 should be about sparda as the MC and his backstory. How he become the general of mundus army, his rebellion against mundus and how he met eva.
Sparda being a maxed out RuneScaper already makes him incredibly powerful
Nero probably isn't stronger yet but I believe he has the potential
I did not expect tensura to show up
A suprise but a welcone one at that
Thanks for uploading this. Was waiting on your DMC content!
Sparda probably has sin devil trigger it could ultimate devil trigger that dante has dmc 2 (probably left over power from dmc 1)
Im not ignoring that thumbnail 💀💀
And to think sparta never ate a fruit from the tree he just had straight raw power

I want a devil may cry prequel with Sparta as the main character
Dante and Vergil mother: Nah, i won
I feel like he's always in his devil trigger form since he's a full demon
they should make a game about sparta with 4 parts
I honestly hope we get a dmc game one day where we play as sparda
Praying for a prequel
If Nero ever has a daughter, who’s strong like him, but more like her mother. What kind of power would this first female Sparda would have? I can tell that she would summon Yamato to her hand just like her father did in the 4th game. While also weirding the Devil Sword Dante for some assist. While her Devil Trigger form would be like her father’s mix with Kasumi’s Devil Form from Tekken 7.
I have a few concept sketches on that.
Urizen bodied the roster because he was sitting on throne fromm qliphtoth tree
Which provided him with absurd amount of human blood and as human blood is complementary to demons it provided insane power boost to urizen
I wonder how Sparda got that powerful to begin with. Like if he was able to overthrow the king before he woke up to justice why wasn't he a king himself?
Embracing humanity
True, the Mother of Dante and Vergil gave him a new perspective or maybe he likes to piss of Mundus because Munduss enjoy killing humans for no reason
@@ardibetrayal3493 but sparda did that 2000 years ago. No way eva lived that long
Something I find fascinating about DMC Sparda Lore, is that we learn that Sparda was actually more powerful than previously believed, because almost every game tells us how he nerfed himself.
Sparda is the devil trigger lol
Makes me think if Sparda turned himself into these weapons intentionally like how other demons were willing to become Dantes weapon.. He did not really disappear but turned himself into a weapon because he knows his twin can handle the world.
Imagine a sparda boss fight
Actually we have seen Sparta in the flesh and it's the dark Knight Sparta costume that you can unlock for Dante both throughout devil May cry 1 3 4 but sadly not five
This was literally my face when you mentioned the Speed Feats;
👁👄👁
Like whathafuq!? THEY ARE THAT FAST!!!!!???? NAAAANI!!!!!????
Oh yes. They are pretty fast.
Sparda basically saved Hell from himself when he sealed all paths to Earth (the major ones).
They should make a game where you either play as Sparda or where Sparda is the final boss
6:36 there is no speed limit on the highway to hell
Freki and Geri are the wolves that accompany Odin in Norse mythology
You can born snake but you can’t act like a snake .
And this is the perfect example of sparda a demon who defense the innocent and fight the devil .
THE REAL QUESTION IS WHERE TF IS SPARDA I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO MY MANS 😭😭
@@collinthesage7436 but i thought human souls in particular have the 9th dimension not every soul in the verse idk im so lost on this lore lol
@@derpyVfoxoX6 So it doesn't specify just human souls it just says the soul so it would mean any being who has it. Since Dante even says in the anime some demons are capable of obtaining a soul.
Be cool if dante and vergil in hell cane across maybe a vestige of spardas expltois or ran into old demons that fought with sparda
They've met many demons who faced Sparda
Demon daddy sparda
So how is sparda stronger than dante and vergil? Are you saying that dante's power up with Devil Sword Dante means he has 2/3rds of spardas power?
I guess this would line up because vergil has the yamato + qliphoth fruit
So i guess my confusion is because i was under the impression that sparda had a fight with mundus that he almost lost, but due to his higher skill in combat and his willpower he managed a victory. This, plus dante always being compared to sparda in dmc 1 and then taking out argosax in base, i assumed he was at least on spardas level if not surpassed him at that point
Also with dante + the devil sword sparda not being enough to beat urizen, i kind of got the motif that sparda had been surpassed
Speaking of that, was urizen really only as strong as vergil was from dmc 3?
Can it be assumed that summoned swords are something of a bloodline ability tied to Sparda's lineage?
Its basic demonic ability in DMC, its not exclusive to Sparda lineage
The shared moves among the Spardas are basically family inherited.
Sword Projections, Pyromancy, Teleportation, Flight, DT Explosion, Weapon Absorbtion...
Only if we had a dmc game starring him.. Smh
I’d be dope if they have the next game revive sparta.
I think Dante, Vergil, and Nero surpassed Sparda by the end of DMC5.
Before DMC5
Dante was stated that he surpassed Sparda in DMC 4 character bios (DMC 4 bios setting)
even before 5
Dante was already stated to be powerful than Sparda
DMC spin off with the sons of Mundus? 😲😲
I seriously wonder what Sparda would think if he could see Dante and Vergil now.
"What does it matter? We are here now, aren't we?" 😎⚔️😎
"Yeah, you're probably right"@@solracstormhunter3023
I want a prequel of devil May cry
We can argue about Sparda getting surpassed by Dante after the third game(Mundus game is chronologically 3rd game). But By the time we reach Sin DT Dante, no, even prologue Urizen turns Mundus Argosax and Sparda into his minions.
Cute but it's only 2/3 of sparda power. He was so OP he played the game in pacifist mode. (Didn't even have to kill his former comrades)
@@Loriddian
Dmc 3 then dmc then dmc 2 then dmc 4 then dmc 5 that's the order.
THIS IS SPARDA!
I wonder what the true sparda sword ▬▬ι═══════ﺤ
Really look like if it wasn't splitted to 3
Wtf 🤣
It wasn't split into 3. Sparda is his true sword. He made Yamato and Rebellion afterwards basically for the fun of it
It's simple mix DMC4 Dante and Vergil then give them steriods, there's Sparda.
Another fact that devil sword sparda can cut space and time similar to yamato
Where did you read that?

I have a theory that sparda himself ate the fruit in order to fight mundus
“I shall surpass Sparda”
How hasnt capcom made a game about sparta only?
It was mentioned Sparta plot his original sword in to three swords. So my question is what was his original sword and his original full power was?
They have to do a Devil May Cry prequel game about Sparda I'm just saying
No one ever talks about how Eva was a witch just like Bayonetta...somebody please do that video!!!
Dmc 6, they can make dante mastered sin devil trigger.
I think next game Nero has dsd and yamato and Nero combined it so Nero has sdt and spardas full combined sword
Fun fact: Bolverk is an alias Odin uses
What's crazy is Sparta probably doesn't look like that, only bc he has the sword
Sparda has a human trigger lol
Not stronge enough to pay child support confirm.
i would scale him to outervergil and he is motiveted dimension
Bro you and the devil joe should do a collab
So why do I keep hearing that Dante and Vergil have surpassed Sparda in power?
I thought it was silly that they have.
This makes more sense.
Dmc2 and 4 imply it
I believe that Dante alone has surpassed Sparda.
Great video man
Whoever created this game was a fan of Inuyasha, concerning the 3 swords...
This video begs an even bigger question about Sparda: if he's that powerful, where the Underworld is he? A demon that strong doesn't just disappear.
I commend the effort you put into these videos, but upon playing PoC I found out it's impossible for that game to be canon.
I would not be surprised if elements from it are brought into the series, but PoC is such a mindfuck for the timeline it can't fit in the game's continuity
