Meg, not only do I find it freaking AWESOME that you're a Gundam fan, but I love it that the one you brought back is the original RX-78-2 -HUGE respect for that, I love the classics! I got the limited edition Hyaku Shiki from Zeta at a con over the weekend, and now it's my RUclips icon!
I got so addicted to the UFO catchers while I was there. I got a couple of really big Gloomy Bears and had a crowd cheering for me! It got so bad that I finally had to convince my friends to play so that I could live vicariously through them.
For those asking; a UFO catcher is what they usually call those things you play at the arcade where you try to grab small stuffed toys or other assorted prizes which are encased in plexiglass with the use of a mechanical crane with claws/prongs. Trying to "catch" your prizes is tricky because the claws/prongs are deliberately weak to grab hold of whatever you're after.
Pranking people with Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans is great. I got a pack for Christmas and (as I was in hospital at that time) I ate all the tasty ones and pranked the nurses with the rest, their faces were priceless. Also you'd think soap would be a weird one but it's surprisingly tasty.
It's a machine filled with toys and stuff that looks like aquarium with a claw. When you put a coin in it you can move the claw for some time. Goal is to grab what you want from a machine with that claw and drop it into the exit before time is up.
Yes! Meg has returned, all is right in the world! Missed you, glad U had fun in Japan, can't wait 2 C U back at Sourcefednerd. Thanks for not mentioning my name as your special someone, it'll be between you and me. No one else will ever know. ;-)
Hello! I loved this video! super cute and hilarious, I really want to go to Japan now! and that adorable plushie that sits in the corner and doesn't like people is now on a list of things I need, haha :) your vid made me smile thank you!
I really hope I get to go to the Pokémon Centre at some point in the next few years! I think if I were in Japan, I'd end up buying a lot of art books for anime/games!
That thing that you fill in the eyes on is actually a coold idea, i feel like it would be motivating if it just stod in a place where you see it a lot.
For all of you wondering, an American dollar is worth about roughly 100 Japanese Yen. So, taking what we would consider a small sum of dollars would actually be a lot of Yen.
Kidding me? I've spent days upon days of my youth at a Sega UFO Catcher! They are just a special brand of those claw machines at arcades etc. where you pick up stuff to win it.
These vlogs feel like Skype-ing an old friend who you haven't seen for too long. Hope Japan was as good as it sounds, extremely jealous ;P But come back to SF soon, Table Talk needs mo' crayZ c;
this "monkey"is actually a very popular russian character called Cheburashka)))when i was little i played with it all the time)))hope Trisha will like it! Hello from Russia)
It's no biggie, Meg, but that's not a tomato in the rice phone cover. It's an umeboshi. As part of a bento, a single umeboshi is often placed in the centre of the rice to recreate the flag of Japan, the Hinomaru Bento. Umeboshi is claimed to fight bacteria. It is claimed that placing an umeboshi on the rice will inhibit bacteria (umeboshi are over 20% salt and salt acts as a preservative).
Hello Meg! dunno if you will read this, I gave you the Daruma, I am glad you liked it! I hope you can paint the other eye really soon when you come back! By the way, the figure ("monkey like") that you got for Trisha is called Cheburashka or Topple, it is originally from Russia, but got really popular in Japan; they even have some Japanese made funny show about it (look for it in youtube). Also, the manga about Buda and Jesus just got a movie here! hope u can watch it sometime!
Here's a thought. If you would move to Japan you wouldn't have to go back and forth to get all your toys, collectables and stress boobies. But next time you go, be sure to travel around a bit, see some places and stay in little guest houses. Get to see and experience the real Japan. Traveling is the best.
I called the large fish Big Bertha, too! I think she was called that in the old Mario Bros. comics... Also, those little fetus things are ridiculous! Maybe you should do a contest or something and send them to your fans.
RunnyRunny999 gives out those Daruma dolls a lot, but he said in Japan you make a wish and fill in one eye, then when it comes true you fill in the other eye and (this part I could be wrong on) then you throw it in a fire.
Meg I love you soo much! I am taking nihongo in high school and will hopefully be going there next summer! also you inspired me to get into cosplay! love you
I'm currently hunting for a 2nd job, part-time, for the sole purpose of stuffing all the paychecks from it into a savings account to go to Japan next summer with my friend. This video only made me want to look harder!
AHHHH!!! MOTHER FUCKING KIRBY!! I legitimately screamed when I saw that. He's my favorite Nintendo character, right next to link. He isn't much to some people but he makes me happy whenever I see him.
THe other thing about the Daruma is that when you knock them over they come back up to a standing position to remind you that things might get in your way and knock you down but you can and will get back up. Also, that is not a tomato in the rice but a sour plum (梅干し) The boobies are great! The first time I saw the boob balls was in a ドンキホテ about 5 years ago. Two little boys had found them and were throwing them at each other with the parents stood there and laughed.
WOW how did you get all that stuff home?! When I went to Japan I left an iron and towels and everything so that all my new merch could fit in my suitcases and bags to get home xD
Gaaaah you're so lucky. I'm going in like 2 maybe 3 years can't wait. It's gonna be for a year or semester in college so I'll have lots of time to blow a ton of money!!
Totally unrelated, but regarding the video where you got all giddy about that guy you thought was super hot: It was awesome! You come off as a super strong and opinionated individual(not a bad thing), but we got a small glimpse into the other side of Meg Turney. You were blushing and nervous, it was awesome! Thanks for letting us have a peek at another side of you!
I love seeing Meg excited. It makes the every day happier.
This is possibly one of the happiest videos I've seen on RUclips in a while.
俺は英語がわからないので、何を話しているのかわからない。
でも日本の事を、好きでいてくれている事は 伝わりました。
ありがとう。

I am a Japanese.
I am glad when I look at happy you. Thank you for loving Japan! :D

I am beyond impressed with your packing. 2 suitcases still doesn't seem like enough space!
It's a machine filled with toys and stuff that looks like aquarium with a claw. When you put a coin in it you can move the claw for some time. Goal is to grab what you want from a machine with that claw and drop it into the exit before time is up.
you're to adorable for your own good, you can always put a smile on this face. Keep up the good work.
Love the Totoro umbrella!
I love how excited you are about all of this hahaha "and then....and then....and then..." So cute! haha.
So glad you introduced us to Sumikko Gurashi. They are so cute and I want one!...but I cant decide which one, haha!
MEG YOU ARE SO CUTE!! Riding that Japan high still even though you are back. I'm glad your trip was such a success!!
So awesome, I love seeing you this happy! Glad you finally got to go to Japan & I'm glad you seem to have had a great time.
Meg you're so cute when you get excited about Japan
cutest thing about this is the superstition about opening the umbrella indoors. :D
You lived the dream, Meg. I'm so happy for you. I would die of happiness if I could ever travel to Japan.
That reminds me, I need to make sure and get some friction tape to avoid blisters during my next vacation. :)
Boogie Stall!!! Also, I have an idea for a dare if you can get a hold of a standard variety pack of Jelly Bellies.
Hoho loved this video xD I wanna go to Japan!!! You gotta make another one where everything is out of their wrapping! :D
Yes! Meg has returned, all is right in the world! Missed you, glad U had fun in Japan, can't wait 2 C U back at Sourcefednerd. Thanks for not mentioning my name as your special someone, it'll be between you and me. No one else will ever know. ;-)

I called that fish "blobber-man"! But good to know you had a great trip! I wish to go to Japan as well :D
That thing that you fill in the eyes on is actually a coold idea, i feel like it would be motivating if it just stod in a place where you see it a lot.
The Totoro stuff is awesome. Make sure the baby toy is safe what with different lead standards and allowances.
As someone who's traveling to Tokyo in the next month... thank you, for introducing me to Kiddy Land. Holy hell, I'm going.
I am still so mad that I couldn't meet up with you in Tokyo. I am glad you had a great time here!
For all of you wondering, an American dollar is worth about roughly 100 Japanese Yen. So, taking what we would consider a small sum of dollars would actually be a lot of Yen.
You must've been bloody AWESOME at Tetris, to be able to fit all of that stuff into a suitcase. Jesus woman...
i like how she was momentarily hypnotized by the crab pen cx
im sooooo happy you had fun!! im going to japan for spring break so im really excited >0
Glad someone else here knows who Cheburashka is. I used to watch the cartoon when I was a kid in Russia. :)
I actually called the fish big bertha as well, true story
Kidding me? I've spent days upon days of my youth at a Sega UFO Catcher! They are just a special brand of those claw machines at arcades etc. where you pick up stuff to win it.
Cyndaquil aww. Number 5 on my fav pokémon list.
You are a heart warming person
It's so cool that you know japanese, I wish I knew a cool language like that!
Should record you open the massive Gundam Wing figure so we can all be jealous of its awesomeness!
These vlogs feel like Skype-ing an old friend who you haven't seen for too long. Hope Japan was as good as it sounds, extremely jealous ;P But come back to SF soon, Table Talk needs mo' crayZ c;
I'm so jealous of everything you were able to get in Japan!
That was adorable. :)
but I got distracted by the tv being on
Like a kid on Christmas day, cute!
this "monkey"is actually a very popular russian character called Cheburashka)))when i was little i played with it all the time)))hope Trisha will like it! Hello from Russia)

You were truly missed on Sourcefed Nerd channel. I hope you do a table talk soon!

Awesome loot / swag! UFO catcher queen! :)
Love the grace ending xD

OMG I love slouchy socks too!
glad you had fun, too long for me but glad for your good fortune
The runaway guys (chuggaaconroy, protonjon, and nintendocaprisun) call the big fish big bertha.
BOODA AND JUSES!!! ITS SACRILIGE

I have that little bear that you saw everywhere as an iPhone case except its pink.
This was uploaded on my birthday!
Awesome meg, if i knew you and you was bringing me something back i would ask for a pokémon suit i could game in and relax at home in :D
WOW how did you get all that stuff home?! When I went to Japan I left an iron and towels and everything so that all my new merch could fit in my suitcases and bags to get home xD
You said Boris was going to travel with you, and I couldn't help but think POKEMON JOURNEY
So much swag!
congrats on the million subscribers on sourcefed
holy awesome that is a lot of stuff...I am jealous
Ryan Higa, his RUclips channel is Nigahiga, he's actually pretty big on youtube.
Loving the nails.
I didn't, but since we generally call them Claw Catchers/Claw Machines in the US, it's understandable.
Gaaaah you're so lucky. I'm going in like 2 maybe 3 years can't wait. It's gonna be for a year or semester in college so I'll have lots of time to blow a ton of money!!
Ah you met fans in Japan?! I live right in Tokyo. That sucks. Well hope you had a great time.
One of the giant fish in Mario was called Big Bertha so it wasn't just you calling them that. Also HufflePuff!!!!
It's a claw machine that you spend a quarter (or tons more) trying to snag a prize at your local grocery store or downtrodden Big Lots.
SO JEALOUS!! can't wait to go at the end of the year!!! XD
We called the big fish Cletus!! :)
They're those claw machines that you usually see at arcades.
That big fish was actually named Big Bertha in the Nintendo comics.
The claw machines that are in the US, except UFO catchers have only two claw things instead of the typical three on american machines
omg it looked like the back was further away for some reason until she reached back and took something lol
You should totally give out those creepy baby things out for Halloween or something!
When I went to Japan I saw that chopper from one piece was popular
Lol was wondering why meg wasn't in any SF nerd videos recently so I checked here. Hope to see her in some SF videos soon.
this remind anyone else of Christmas

the are just the most precious person on the planet.
