      Meg Turney Any reason you didn't just buy either a pink wig or dye it? I feel like sharpieing a whole head of hair is labor extensive for no reason...

    • @megturney
      @megturney  10 лет назад +16

      SoManyZubats Because I only needed half and I could have dyed it, but I was worried about it getting on the blonde side (dye is messy!). I've also never sharpie dyed anything before I wanted to give it a try.

    Cosplayers always make a point to say how much goes into a costume, bu ti think this gives a real insight into just how much it actually takes. I mean shit, Meg had red hair at the start, by the end, it faded to PINK! srsly tho, mad props to you, Meg, and all cosplay makers.

    I don't know why but the most dedicated thing about thins whole cosplay to me, wasnt the individual sequins and jewels, or the skirt, or the heels.....Meg you went out and bought a tub of Sharpies and coloured in that wig section by section.....that must of taken ages!!

    If you soak a the sharpie core or ink in alcohol in a spray bottle you can section off and spray underneath the top layer of hair so it doesn't mess up the parting then just color the top layer with sharpie. Has worked for me in the past.
