I keep my boxes, just because, you never know if you need to make a warranty or RMA claim. I have boxes for around 5 computer monitors, ship load of phones, motherboards, graphics cards, headphones, microphones, speakers, CPUs, SSDs, PC cases, tablets. I'm running out of space for boxes. D:
Meg, Thank you for keeping the intro. It has that classic gamer sound that makes me go back to my all time favorite game Mega Man X for the SNES. It makes me smile and look forward to watching your videos even more.
I love your videos Meg. You have an amazing bubbley personality. I always look forward to your videos especially when I have a bad day, you always cheer me up. I do have a question though. I have always been a PC gamer but wanted to get my first console. Which would you recommend? I enjoy fighting games, anything by capcom, RPG's not necessarily MMO's and adventure games like Devil may Cry. Thanks for any help
When you were holding it between the cardboard I was just like 'noooo stop it!' That with you almost dropping the box nearly killed me. I've only ever had Nintendo consoles myself (save for an original Playstation as a kid) but this Christmas I'm asking for an Xbox 360 since I'm new to the whole thing and there are obviously tons of games out for it. It's also gone way down in price which is awesome. I'm suuuuper excited. Also I keep my boxes too, haha.
I keep the boxes too, i have my ps3 box too, i got it when they came out :D and i still have it :3 i may or may not have my ps2 box too :3 maybe.. I also have my iphone box, my ipad, DS, DS XL, and two pc boxes... They aren't really even special but i still have them ;-; just cardboard...
Keep keeping your boxes! I do that too! it's very cool to have the box of your stuff, mostly for something like a game console. Great video, I love you! bye.
Keep your boxes. S/N numbers and VIN numbers are a thing that you need if in case you get robbed. Had a friend suffer a robbery (in England where she was living, USAF husband) and the officers were asking for the numbers.
i keep my boxes too, i think i still may have my Sega Mega Drvie 2 in the attic, the cool thing about the PS4 is it takes Laptop 2.5 inch drive so you can get a solid state drive and stick that in.........
i hate that people are PS4 OR XboxOne.... they both have their strengths and weaknesses and neither are superior to one another, this crap drives me mad.
It's not weird to keep boxes that is planning ahead. Weird it a word that people use when they don't understand and want to make themselves feel better. Oh and "You just don't get it" is a phrase used to defect a question when the person doesn't understand themselves but doesn't want to look stupid trying to explain it. Hope I helped
You are definitely not alone. I keep my boxes for everything; headphones, sound systems, computers. But not TV boxes. I think it adds good resale value to have the original box.
New intro is awesome! I keep my boxes too, but Ive never owned a console before wii and PS3, the rest were hand me downs, so they didnt come with boxes, so I actually only have my PS3 box, no idea what happened to the wii (not just the case, I literally have no idea where the system is and dont care) I agree on the launch title thing, but it seems to be pattern Mario 64 will forever be the best launch title ever, since no one can get it right, I'm really excited for the games coming out Q1 2014 though! ^_^
I recently threw out boxes for items I hadn't owned for 5 years. Like old coffee machines and broken consoles. I'm glad im not the only one with a problem!!
Nope! I keep boxes for a very long time. I only throw them out if I need space or when I move unless I can use them to put stuff in. Completely normal.
I keep my boxes too...we can be weird together. Also, it's interesting that your clear stickies (pre-naked controller) were tailored to the controller. Mine were just clear, square pieces stuck to the buttons.
haha your not weird! I do the same thing and keep all my boxes too lol dunno why but just feels like its a good idea just incase of anything that you might need them lol
I cancelled my preorder when watch dogs got delayed. also the fact that drive club got delayed didnt help, but it wasnt a very big reason for the decision. Im probably going to pick one up sometime early 2014 when some better games like watch dogs or infamous come out
I keep boxes for stuff that's either dear to me (ie. Consoles, music equipment...) Or things that I fear may break at some point (ie. Laptops, consoles again,TVs...) So no my dear you're somewhat sane in this instance. :)
I use to keep my boxes... then I realized I had to change my ways when my closet was filled to the brim with boxes. I still have all my consoles though, from the NES all the way to the PS3. All the Nintendos except the Wii U (Virtual Boy included), PS1, 2, 3, all the Sega systems except the Saturn (even the 3dx and Sega CD), the original Gameboy (zomg). People love the NES when they visit the house. haha And that my friends is why keeping boxes does not work forever.
I keep my boxes. Never know when you might need to take something back, or turn it in for warranty. But once it's really old, it's time to throw dem boxes away.
You aren't weird at all. I always keep my boxes, for when I move. And the smaller things I get that aren't permanent like food or something. Those boxes I repurpose to put gifts in to give away. I just never have had the money or desire to get any gaming system.
My boyfriend keeps all of his boxes but he buys a resells games so it's out of habit i think. Please be careful with Penny around the cords. I heard the PS4 cords are easily chewable compared to the XboxOne
Definatly keep boxes for bigger things as it really helps if you have to get thing repaired or if you move house. PS4 looks pretty good and the controller looks nice expect for Sony's horrible 4 button d-pad, no system has had a good d-pad since the SNES but the playstation one is by far the worse.
I enjoy you man. I lost my collection in a robbery and didn't get back into gaming until 2016. It was 4 miserable years without playing games and no gaming collection. Those were dark times
That tape you were trying to cut to open the box just popped right off when I was opening mine on day one, in fact the tape felt cheaper than what the normally use on system boxes.
Keeping the boxes is start of many "disagreements" between my wife an I. I save them ALL! Not weird its cautious and being prepared. You never know when you will need them. To resale, store or gift. I may need you later to be the deciding vote.
I'm waiting for a special edition somewhere... Or I might even just get some vinyl done up. Oh and Meg, I keep my boxes of all my consoles and special editions.
Game consoles (if you can call them that anymore) don't usually have system sellers till a year later. Mario, Zelda, and Smash Bros. games is just Nintendo's proof.
My Roommate and I both keep all our console boxes, you aren't weird at all...well you are but all the best people are a tad strange(in a good way though) :D
Also, Meg replay the entire time you were talking about the controllers and realize how perverted that sounded xD "Feels super good" "No slip" "Fits perfect in my hands"
You are not weird, I keep all my boxes too. How are you liking the PS4 so far? I'm really enjoying mine, it's like you said though not that many games. You should try Contrast it's pretty cool, and free with PS+.
I'm a box keeper too. Okay, this will date me... I have a Nintendo box, a Nintendo 64 box, a PS1 box, a PS2 box, a PS3 box, a XBOX box and a XBOX 360 box so far; not sure what happened to the Atari box...hmmm
The two titles I am most looking forward to are Watchdogs and inFamous Second Son which means I am not that bothered about not getting a PS4 right away. I think if Watchdogs was a launch title then I think I would be getting a little anxious about getting one though
OH MY GOD MEG I keep all my boxes also XD i've always been told i was weird but if I ever moved or wanted to take it somewhere it comes in handy, also if you want to resale.
I'm a little curious whether Meg'll be missing out on the Xbox's all purpose living room managerness (yes that's what I'm calling it). But then I have no idea what I'd use it for so I have no idea what she'd be missing.

Meg Turney: "Feels really good in my hands" That's what she said.
you read my mind
When you were holding it between the cardboard I was just like 'noooo stop it!' That with you almost dropping the box nearly killed me. Will the solid state drives work on the PS3? I have heard of some drive that don't work with the PS3 very well.
As far as i know it will take any 2.5 inch laptop harddrive.
i hate that people are PS4 OR XboxOne.... they both have their strengths and weaknesses and neither are superior to one another, this crap drives me mad.
It's not weird to keep boxes that is planning ahead. Weird it a word that people use when they don't understand and want to make themselves feel better. Omg! I keep all my boxes too! People ALSO think I'm weird for doing that.
I have watched so many ps4 unboxings and I don't even want to get it lol.
Why
"Aw you're naked... Shhhh don't cry... Don't cry baby, I'll hold you." - Meg Turney
Those are some dark thoughts there...
Im counting the days till my Xbox one hits love to see you do an unboxing for that
The opening sound effects are pretty epic
keeping your boxes is always a good ideas .helps when you move and if they turn in to collecters item. the boxes are worth as much as the game.
You are definitely not alone. I keep my boxes for everything; headphones, sound systems, computers. But not TV boxes. I think it adds good resale value to have the original box.

I keep all my boxes!!! Not only are they recommended but it's a type of memory that I like to keep
I recently threw out boxes for items I hadn't owned for 5 years. Like old coffee machines and broken consoles. I'm glad im not the only one with a problem!!
I'm boxing my box like a boss also!!! My closet is full of matryoshka box (little box in a bigger box, in a bigger box, in a bigger box...).
I keep my boxes too. Even for controllers and headphones...if you need to move always good to have around.
Nope! I keep boxes for a very long time. I only throw them out if I need space or when I move unless I can use them to put stuff in. Completely normal.
I keep all of my boxes too Meg, don't worry~
I keep my boxes too...we can be weird together. Also, it's interesting that your clear stickies (pre-naked controller) were tailored to the controller. Mine were just clear, square pieces stuck to the buttons.
Feels really good in her hands and the grip keeps her from slipping...
I keep the boxes too of all electronics that I buy!!! I'm glad I'm not alone!!!!
It's not weird to keep all your boxes, my family keeps all our boxes too
haha your not weird! I do the same thing and keep all my boxes too lol dunno why but just feels like its a good idea just incase of anything that you might need them lol
I cancelled my preorder when watch dogs got delayed. also the fact that drive club got delayed didnt help, but it wasnt a very big reason for the decision. Im probably going to pick one up sometime early 2014 when some better games like watch dogs or infamous come out
its totally not weird to keep your boxes! It can give your items more resale value sorta when you want to upgrade or just hard up for cash!
Ms Meg I also keep my boxes as well. I think it comes from the who military thing. Makes them easier to ship. I hope you are enjoy your PS4!
I keep boxes for everything too, you're not weird!
It's not weird at all guuurl! To have your boxes! I still have all mine…starting from dream cast.
I keep boxes for stuff that's either dear to me (ie. Consoles, music equipment...) Or things that I fear may break at some point (ie. Laptops, consoles again,TVs...) So no my dear you're somewhat sane in this instance. :)
Don't worry Meg I keep the boxes too. The hard part is were to store the boxes :) and by the way, I love your nails!
People love the NES when they visit the house. haha And that my friends is why keeping boxes does not work forever.
i keep all of my boxes too. it's not that weird.
No, you are not weird at all for keeping those boxes, in fact it is cool that you do!
I keep all the boxes for my important tech stuff, including my giant PC. It makes moving less stressful!
I love your face, and just you in general.
It's a good idea to save the boxes; makes it easier/safer to travel with the systems. Btw, diggin the dbz shirt.
My boyfriend keeps all of his boxes but he buys a resells games so it's out of habit i think. Please be careful with Penny around the cords. I heard the PS4 cords are easily chewable compared to the XboxOne
As much as I want to buy this now I decided to wait until Uncharted 4 comes out :D Nice vid, Meg :)
Awesome unboxing! Are you going to unbox the xbox one?
Definatly keep boxes for bigger things as it really helps if you have to get thing repaired or if you move house.
PS4 looks pretty good and the controller looks nice expect for Sony's horrible 4 button d-pad, no system has had a good d-pad since the SNES but the playstation one is by far the worse.
0:55 "I will never hurt you.."
...a few weeks later...
"Goddammit! Stupid level boss!"
*throws controls through screen*
I'll be getting mine in about 2 months when the first batch issues are resolved.
you aren't weird Meg, I have all my boxes too. I even have my ps2 box still!
I keep my boxes as well, my brother does the same thing, I think its a nerdy thing...not sure, but I can never bring myself to throw the boxes out.
Don't worry Meg, I have my boxes too. My dad wants me to throw them away because they take up too much room, but boxes!
I keep all my boxes! Also when looking to buy something used I consider it having its original box a BIG plus :D
I keep all of my boxes. They're good for long-term storage. :)
Meg, I still have my 360, Wii, PS3, 3DS, PS2, GameCube, GB adv., & Dreamcast box...
You're not alone :)
Yeah im here with you
I still have a game boy color
Not the box though
I enjoy you man. I lost my collection in a robbery and didn't get back into gaming until 2016. It was 4 miserable years without playing games and no gaming collection. Those were dark times
Meg youre awesome :) I just got your poster with you replacing Steve with the Ewok hat :) if only it came with the hat too lol
Solid PS4 unboxing Meg, loving the enthusiasm. Much better than Gavin's ;]
I keep the boxes too O.o I remember getting a PS 3 at launch, those boxes were huge! :O lol
I still have my 360 box. Came in very useful for transporting.
That tape you were trying to cut to open the box just popped right off when I was opening mine on day one, in fact the tape felt cheaper than what the normally use on system boxes.
I keep all my boxes too meg your not weird
Keeping the boxes is start of many "disagreements" between my wife an I. I save them ALL! Not weird its cautious and being prepared. You never know when you will need them. To resale, store or gift. I may need you later to be the deciding vote.
I'm waiting for a special edition somewhere... Or I might even just get some vinyl done up.
Oh and Meg, I keep my boxes of all my consoles and special editions.
Your Jurassic Park murmuring was quite melodic. Made me smile.
I kept all my boxes. When I went back to visit my parents, all of my stuff was gone bar one guitar. Sentiment devoid.
Game consoles (if you can call them that anymore) don't usually have system sellers till a year later. Mario, Zelda, and Smash Bros. games is just Nintendo's proof.
I keep all my boxes too... You're not alone
My Roommate and I both keep all our console boxes, you aren't weird at all...well you are but all the best people are a tad strange(in a good way though) :D
Hope you're doing well, Meg. Enjoy your PS4!
Meg you're so awesome!!!! I love your personality!
Nice Dachshund, I have just one just like yours.
Meg seems ALMOST as excited about PS4 as I was about Super Mario 2. (#old).
I keep the big electronic boxes like for my PS3 and laptop because when I move I want them to be very secured back in their boxes.
I keep the boxes for all my tech. I could probably build a badass fort at this point.
I keep all of my boxes and the manuals. You're not weird... lol.
Also, Meg replay the entire time you were talking about the controllers and realize how perverted that sounded xD "Feels super good" "No slip" "Fits perfect in my hands"
i have an entire wall cut out in my bedroom that i stacked with all of my boxes of consols, phones, laptops, pcs, and other nerd stuff
I always keep ALL of my boxes too! My wife thinks it's weird.
That is exactly how Colin Moriarty took the tape off the tape on IGN's unboxing. Same Scissors too, I think. BEYOND!
I keep all my boxes for everything! Easier to pack when moving to a new place instead of sticking everything into a laundry basket...oh college...
I use to keep all my boxes too... Until once after moving a while back, I lost my N64 box so I threw them all away. lol
I keep all my boxes too Meg..
your morning vlogs are hilarious xD
I keep my boxes too I have my Gateway laptop's box, My ipod shuffle, ipod touch 4g and iphone 5c boxs (as you can tell I like ios devices)
The two titles I am most looking forward to are Watchdogs and inFamous Second Son which means I am not that bothered about not getting a PS4 right away. I think if Watchdogs was a launch title then I think I would be getting a little anxious about getting one though
Got all my boxes, had a ps3 for 5 years and I still have my box!
LoL at 3:55 such a ''that's what she said'' moment right there!!!
Best unboxing evarrrr
I haven't had a current gen console since the gamecube I'm getting the ps4 in January :D
I like "morning Meg" :D silly and fun ^^
Love, just this whole video. Wonderful lol.
I keep all my boxes too. Yep.
Morning Meg is the best Meg!
0:24 made me actually lol. SOME1 MAKE IT INTO A GIF!!!!!11111
