Thank you for this comprehensive review. I’m flying on this flight shortly, and the other economy flight reviews of this flight so far basically show you the seat but not much commentary on the flight as a whole. Looks like I’m in for a comfortable flight
I did this flight a few weeks ago. Pro's hard product. Cons were the food and the timings of the meal services. The timing of this flight is perfect for overnight sleeping, but when I did it the lights were off for not much more than 3 hours which wasn't great.
Great video Jayden! I have always wondered what a wet leased flight was like, I love finnair. As well as this awesome to see the Qantas lounge, as I am using that for my stopover in Singapore when I come back from Europe on QF2 (LHR)! Keep up the great videos!
Well done as usual. Airport is awesome. Nice BA lounge. I hope 6-4 got his in-fight video working! You really make that back row look appealing. This is getting me really jazzed for my planned work trip to Marble Arch this summer! Thanks for sharing!
I'm tall guy, 196cm tall and I think Finnair's A330 economy is one of the best for tall people. My flight was only 2 hours long but I think that I would also survive longer flight easily.
You should enjoy it... my personal opinion is the Finnair A330 is a step up on the same aircraft Qantas use (more comfortable). I just did the SYD-SIN & SIN-SYD on the QF/AY service 2 weeks ago.
Great video, Jayden! It’s an interesting concept to have Finnair operate a QANTAS flight. Looks like it was good overall. I really want to see the QANTAS lounge at SIN and also get back to the jewel. Thanks for the trick about checking in early at the jewel. Hope you had a good time in London!
Great Video once again I can’t explain how much you make me excited to fly again and I got to say I went to the BA lounge in Singapore last year and it was pretty mid for dinner.😢
It looks like you enjoyed the seat a little more than one of the last times you flew Finnair... The Singapore Roasted Chicken Dinner was great on the same flight 2 weeks ago. I believe the reason for the smaller breakfast serving is due to the flight only being around the 7hr mark.
yeah their older seats on the 350 are too hard for longer flights, could never sleep well. It's a shame that Singapore-SYD/MEL/BNE/ADL flights on SQ, BA, EK and BA do 1 meal and 1 light meal. When HK to SYD/MEL/BNE (just slightly longer flight duration compared to SIN) you get two full meals on CX and QF. Which means if you do the kangaroo route via HK and mainland China you get way more food.
Beautiful, wonderfully described video. Mouthwatering, when it came to CHANGIng lounges at SIN. Nice review of your stay in London. Until next time, bon voyage!
Finnair has a daily HEL-SIN service (A350), cabin crew is based in Singapore on these flight too. That means you can't get service in Finland's official languages Finnish/Swedish on this route, but it seems Finns are ok with that. A similar situation would cause riots in France :)
haha I have thought about that before. The Hong Kong flights are the same. I had Hong Kong and Indian (Delhi based I assume) crew on the HK flight last time.
Great video Jayden! Interesting how the service started with premium economy does that mean they got the same food as economy? On this route I never fly Qantas but always choose SQ!
Thank you for the trip report Jayden, like your partner, I’m 6f 8 and don’t think I would fit at all. I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on PY for tall people 😊
Well done buddy, another great trip report! Wow, the food offering in the QF lounge in Singapore is so much better than Sydney lounge! Have to ask, 6'4" is an airport daddy? what is that?
thanks James! Airport dad refers to people (usually men) who are stressed about the check in time, missing their flight etc. Obvious traits are: frequently checking their watches, holding everyone’s passports, going to the airport 7 hours early🤣
Appreciated your video once again. I think you are closer to most people with your food reviews rather than some other reviewers comparing it is a fine dining restaurant. Have you moved to Sydney to be with Mr 6’4”. If that is too personal, don’t feel you have to answer.
Airline food is always going to bad if we compare it to fine dine haha. 6'4 will be moving out from Sydney for his new job overseas :) We just don't know where he'll be posted yet
the BA and Qantas lounge have no bidet/water gun in the toilet 🤧 that’s sad, i think only the Qatar lounge has bidet (but access to this is limited only for business and first class passengers). nice review, Jayden!
Just curious, what is your priority when it comes to choosing Economy seats assuming no free upgrades and just picking the regular seats, not bulkhead or extra legroom.
Always keep me guessing with where the random vlog at the end will be lol, how do u decide which vlog to put at the end of each video? Also get a railcard! Will save u lots of money travelling in uk.
Usually I try to match the city I arrive into. But I didn’t film in Sydney so I looked for ‘excess’ or ‘leftover’ footage haha. I flew Icelandair to London in Feb and did vlogs for 2 days. When I upload the Icelandair video later this month, the vlog will be two days before the day I went Windsor
NIce one jayden and 6'4.....if you had a choice would you choose finnair economy seats over qf1 a380 on this sector? Don't ya wish the singapore qf lounge was like the Hong Kong one? I still dream about the cheesecake lol. Safe travels guys!
A380 is definitely more comfortable. But big planes usually mean longer service time which results is less sleep. I think I'll prefer QF292 on this route. YES they need the cheesecake in the SG lounge.
Loved the review and speaking of the AY A330 is it better than the QF version on this route or not? Speaking of the AY A330s are they usb only like PR or combination AC USB power supply like AC/QF. An unusual feature of the AY A330-300s is an external camera not seen on A330s
Your the only exception. Most airlines, including my flight meal has 2 option, chicken or beef with rice? I went with the chicken rice and it taste good. Why you don't try the chicken rice on Finnair, Airbus? Chicken rice is delicious than beef.
The cabin crew on the Qantas wet lease Finnair aircraft are actually Thais that work for the Qantas labour hire company based in BKK that supplies Thai cabin crew to Jetstars Australian registered aircraft. It’s done to avoid employing Australians and save money. Usual Qantas shifty business practice.
I usually pick what's the cheapest, to and from where I need be. If QF43 is the cheapest or Qantas is the cheapest from SYD to Tokyo then I'll book it.

neither! I lived in ADL for the past 9.5 years but I just moved out last month. Moving to a permanent new place in a new country in the next few months. Currently just travelling .
Finnair has similar deals with BA and Qatar Airlines too. They have some extra capacity now, the Russian airspace is closed for the EU/European airlines and that limits Finnair's services to Asia, which has been their key market.
@@cbkia Lounge access is fine to get a meal or something but anything more than two hours is useless. I've had nine-hour layovers with lounge access and I still wish it had been 90 minutes at most and then only because it was an international connection where I had to get bags and re-check them
