    In this video, purple power degreaser, and super clean degreaser go head to head in removing stains, and shampooing a floor board from one of my client's cars! I love both purple power and super clean, but they both seem so similar, that I had to put them up against each other directly! In this situation, I am shampooing a carpet floorboard that has not ever been cleaned. I also use super clean and purple power to do some stain removal in the process. In cleaning car carpets, both products are incredible, and really blow me away, but when comparing purple power and super clean directly, especially in cleaning car carpets and stain removal, there is one that definitely seems to preform better than the other. Not only to I use the very simple method of simply carpet scrubbing in order the show the results that both degreasers produce, but I also finish with steam cleaning the carpet, in order to demonstrate how purple power and super clean react with the steam cleaner. This video will show you not only several different ways to shampoo carpets, and clean carpets even more effectively, but you will also get a look into my exact method when I am carpet cleaning. Of course I include several interior detailing tricks like always in order to help the professional auto detailers, and do it yourselfers alike. For the most part, cleaning car upholstery seems to be something that people stress out about, or do not know how to approach, but in this video I not only teach how to clean car upholstery, but also how to simplify car upholstery cleaning! Follow me on location and learn how I remove stains from car carpets, use super clean and purple power, clean car upholstery, and which product is going to win the battle!!!

    I use to strictly use Super Clean, but it seems in the last couple years their solution isn't as strong. I tried Purple power and purple power I was happy with it did a better job for me than super clean.
    I do know if you let either product dry on aluminum it will etch the aluminum, the directions also state to not use on aluminum, but if your quick enough to get a good scrub and rinse it off quick before it has time to dry, I found they were fine.

    Yeah purple degreasers tend to tickle the lung when Aerosolization occurs. I have worked with some Purple degreasers that will make you hack up a lung just sitting open in a room. I have a friend who is a chemist that formulated his own super ultra concentrated purple degreaser this stuff is amazing. Although he only Produces it in 275 gallon tote’s with the steel reinforcements. If diluted enough it could be used to clean anything . it is also a quaternary disinfectant but could not be labeled so what small Wants to pay tens of thousands of dollars just saw the FDA can label it as a disinfectant he used to produce it for one of the larger car manufacturers and GE I believe.

    Hi there. You have great videos and amazing enthusiasm! However, there is one thing I would have done differently in comparing these 2 obviously fantastic products. I would have put a piece of tape down the middle, and I would have used 2 different brushes (the exact same brush) to avoid a possibility of cross-contamination of the products. When you scrub the Power Clean side, there is still Power Clean product on that brush. You then scrub the Super Clean side, but it still has some of the Power Clean 'residuals' on it and vice versa. But, that's just my thought. Either way, you are phenomenal at what you do, and may GOD continue to bless you!

    • @wilsonautodetailing

      Infiniti Chik ya I totally understand what you mean, definitely great advice, I think I was just going with a general comparison rather than being quite that exact because there are so many variables even with the floorboard itself, but thank you for the encouragement and appreciation!!!! Super clean use to be great. I first tried it back in the 90s. It was amazing stuff. Back then if you left a wet rag of Super Clean in a stainless pot too long it would etch into the surface. Also if you got spray on glass and did not clean it off, it would etch into glass as well. Due to the high cost of it now I switched over to Purple Power.

    Super Clean is caustic. It WILL attack aluminum, paint, etc. Be safe with this as it will also attack your skin. I use it to clean my stove. If you use it as a degreaser, you will notice the odor of soap. This is because it is saponifying the grease and oil and turning it into soap.

When you wipe it down it goes away only to come back again when it dries and looks like mud but it is in fact scuffs marred into the vinyl. Can you run these through the TORNADOR??? To clean fabrics? Do you find the product make the carpet "sticky" and attract more dirt (like some carpet shampoos do?)?

    • @wilsonautodetailing
      @wilsonautodetailing  7 лет назад +3

      Dan Garner yes you can absolutely put them through the tornador, just make sure and dilute them. Regarding the second question, detailers for years have claimed that carpet shampoo makes things sticky and attract more dirt but I think this is a misnomer. A carpet doesn't attract more dirt at all because it's been shampooed. It doesn't become a magnet for dirt, the logic is that since it is a little sticky, the dirt that falls just stays on the carpet better, and therefore the carpet becomes dirtier. When detailers make those sort of claims I just think the conversation is irrelevant only because, if shampooing carpets do make the carpet sticky, is anyone going to stop shampooing carpets? Definitely not, and I just haven not ever found it to be the case that anything makes a carpet "sticky." I hope that helps

      @@carsongalaxy Okay, I guess. I think pressurized water would do a better job. Thinking of clamping the rags to a screen and pressure washing them.
      May also try full strength PP or just use Super Clean or an acid based cleaner.
