Keep doing what you're doing. Watching an engine rebuild isn't going to help me decide where I should be spending my money. You're content is what keeps me coming back for more.
@@ProjectFarm Would love to see a transmission rebuilt, something relatable like we might own. But as usual, the complete process, showing the transmission working well in the vehicle again. Same for engines, and even testing other kinds of products and seeing if they are as good as they claim. Love the product reviews, they really help. What if you tested upgrades on an engine and see if they yield the power increase that the company claims?
@@BLKMGK4 Easy enough if you don't do the same things he does. Or you did it on different vehicles. For example, who would do things like that to an old RV? Or an old farm ranger? And you could do things they wouldn't expect: Here's how a underhood light turns out on your old junk ranger. Or even fix up the old junk ranger. People wouldn't really expect that, they expect it to be ran into the ground until dead and then scrapped. They wouldn't expect him to start fixing the body and any rust and making it nicer. Even if it will still be used on a farm.
Honestly there is NO other channel or person doing what you're doing, as effective as you are. I literally trust no one else's analysis more than yours. As long as you don't stop the reviews, I'd love to see anything that you create.
I'd say stick with reviews because I want more! If anything you could branch out into other style reviews or comparisons. Even electronics, or household products. I would watch any kind of reviews you put out.
spot on- I have not seen anyone on the youtubes as through and not pushing for one particular product. It truly is impressive, incredibly helpful. I would not mind additional topic/projects as long as you keep the reviews. They are just spot on-
Can we take a moment to admire and appreciate the foresight and selflessness of this man to specifically cultivate the mildew on this stretch of siding for years just to do this video. Top notch content as always thank you!
We love the idea that you want to go bigger and better but the DIY comparisons and real world unbiased testing makes a huge difference for us consumers and even people working professionally who simply want the best tool for the job. Keep up the great work
Product testing for sure is the most important thing you can contribute to the community . I have purchased several tools that you have tested and find them superior to the common brands that are available. You are reaching the broadest range of homeowner/DIYers that will, in turn, support your efforts. The engineering approach to qualifying products is always lacking; you are providing a valuable service. Thank you!
I tend to prefer the product testing. I have a lot of channels I watch that do good builds, but *nobody* else does tests as realistic, broad-subject and reliable as yours! I've used your testing for a *lot* of purchases!
You didn't even bother to tell us if each product was solvent, acid, alkaline, salt based. I'd still wager that clothes washing powder beats all these products
@@janeblogs324 Every degreaser that I've dealt with has been alkaline, some strongly enough that they will damage aluminum parts. It would indeed be useful to know the ph of each of the products tested, but that information can probably be gotten from the manufacture.

Anytime I consider buying a new product (for my truck, house, etc.) I go to your website to see if you reviewed them. You do an excellent job of trying to be as scientific as possible and you use "everyday" products that the "normal" person would use, so it is very helpful and saves me from disappointment and from wasting my money on things that just don't seem to work. Please stay independent so there won't be any bias in your reporting of results should you ever decide to take funding from a particular brand. THANK YOU!
Rarely comment on videos, but I wanted to say that your tests and processes are very appreciated out here. As far as sticking to tests or do other things, I say do both! It's important to enjoy what you do, and if by adding some "different" videos helps you keep enjoying what you do and help to keep the rest of us informed, that's a win-win combination in my book!
Please don’t stop! What you do is so amazing!!! There is so much over-promotion out there and your methodology breaks through all the noise. Thank you. Thank you!

@@ProjectFarmHave you thought about doing a Diesel Heater video? There's a wide range of units going from +$1200 to as low as $89. I know a lot of people use these on their RV/Camper vans. Thanks for making your videos and working hard to keep them unbiased. Keep them coming!!!
As a mechanic I would enjoying watching mechanic work videos from you. But really I would probably watch just about any content you make. The videos are great and the product testing is extremely informative.
I love your product tests and will tune in and watch every week even it the product isn't on my radar, but it must be hard to keep producing a weekly show when you've reviewed so many of the "big" items. You're almost a 3M subs, and that's substantial. I appreciate your: humility, fairness, no Rock&Roll intro with lightning and thunder, no CONSTANT "merch, patreon, etc", no tough-guy loudmouth attitude, you make your own testing rigs and your shop isn't Internet Fancy, no sponsors. (I'll bet they're beating down your door!) I could go on and on. Quite a few of my tool purchases were inspired by your videos and I hope clicking your links helps. Some RUclipsrs make another channel so as to not dilute the main one and risk losing subs. Perhaps "Project Farm Builds:" or whatever where you could do side projects? In the meantime it wouldn't be unreasonable to revisit and re-review some of the older tools as the specs may have changed or you could include other brands. Nice to see this week total product cost under $200! I think a lot of us will tune in no matter what you do.
Product testing is your Call-In-Life ... I am grateful to other broadcasters for their guidance, but you, by far, consistently bring more items to compare! Thank you for your efforts.
I think we all really love the product testing - irreplaceable. I would like to see videos of making engines run better - testing odd parts, additives etc.
You could branch out here and there, but I really appreciate these product comparison videos. They really help us DIY guys save time and money by going straight for the best performing products within the context of price. You've helped me with oil, filters, tools, cleaners, and on and on!!
product testing are definitely the bread and butter. But when you make videos of other things simply for your own enjoyment or curiosity, they are fun to watch and I enjoy them! they are fun to have in the mix occasionally.
YES to continued product testing! Your methods are impeccable and very detailed. Maybe Consumer Reports can learn a few things from your methodologies. It would be nice to have you update some of your older tests with newer ones, as the market shifts every few years.
You definitely are already the best at what you already do so why not keep doing what you do best? I am into refinishing guns and would like to see you test all the different brands of bluing solutions, cold blue including Oxpho by Brownell. Make sure you test all with parts totally cleaned and degreased and also with parts not totally cleaned of rust and oil.b Also show totally wahed and dried nut without oiling parts etc.. Thank Bob Jones😊
I did like the Star shifter I installed in my 68 Nova/ Chevy II SS. Their transmission reprogramming kits were a joke. I put one in a turbo 350 that was in my first Chevy Nova. It was a 69 with a non performance THM 350 behind a 350 c.i.d. with a 2 bbl. Carb. The crisper shifts were very underwhelming! Then got into the transmission industry and found out what a SK green box kit for about $8 could do! Little bump on a shift, versus barking the tires and leaving 6 foot rubber fish hooks behind you on a 1-2 shift!
I've been following this channel pretty much since it's inception and have watched almost every video. Absolutely love the hard work you've put into these and professionalism in testing products. It would be awesome to see you branch out to other things as you suggested. Just know whatever you do, we as a community will watch and appreciate it!
Your testing and channel seems to be a household name in my circle of friends and family. You’re doing something great to educate the American public about products they use. Thank you and may our Lord continue to bless you and your endless efforts!
I, for one, think that this channel should continue to review, compare, & test products that viewers suggest. However, doing other things like engine upgrades, transmission rebuilding, equipment maintenance, etc...should be added to ProjectFarm's content occasionally, based on the needs of the farm. If you need to do a project around the farm, making videos showing the start-to-finish process & methods may be of benefit for DIYers.
A lot of channels will make a secondary channel for this reason, that way the ppl who come here to watch product reviews dont complain about the farm related content.
@@gaveintothedarkness I feel like doing a second video on like Wednesday or Thursday about the extracurriculars would be fine and having the sunday videos be lovely product comparisons.
@@ProjectFarmhi, I know the zep said it removed adhesive on the bottle, but "can you test that" and other floor adhesive/ glue removing solutions, many thanks 😊
Todd, it’s your straight forward no nonsense approach that everyone loves. That skill can be applied successfully to all types of content. Have fun with your channel and we will, too!
I love the testing. At this point, I'd probably watch videos of you mowing the lawn or repairing a sink drain--you always find ways to keep us engaged and interested!
Your approach to the organization and analysis of each project is always entertaining and your patience is surprising. It’s exciting to think about you producing other content because your style and delivery is so distinct. I always get a kick out of hearing the marketing claims of these products said out loud. Sometimes, when I come across some wild marketing claim, I’ll hear your voice in my head say “we’re gonna test that.” I also think the name of your channel allows you to make more content that is project oriented. All that said, we come back to watch you and your original style, the content is important, but very much secondary.
Keep the product reviews coming, they’re very useful and there isn’t another source that even comes close, but if you have other ideas like rebuilding a transmission I’d definitely love to see those videos.
The following that you have gathered here is a testament to your awesome video quality and consistency. I think you could do a video on just about anything and we would all still watch. Thank you for years of quality unbiased testing.
I personally really enjoyed and appreciated this comparison Todd, mostly from cleaning engines and machinery viewpoint. I quit worrying about my shop floor long ago after years of cardboard, and pressure washing. It's clean, but stained. I really appreciate the comparisons to see the "best ever" products go head to head. Thank you so much, I wish I could have known many of these results years ago! (Too soon old, too late smart). Still learning at 74!
I'd love to see glass cleaners across plate glass, laminate glass, and what I've really noticed to be tricky; auto acoustic glass. Smartphone style ceramic coatings/screen coatings would be another great test.
I know this was a suggestion for the channel, but I’d recommend checking out Griot’s Garage glass cleaner and the accompanying microfiber towels. I don’t know what’s in the stuff, but it’s non-ammonia based and works amazing.
Please don’t stop what you’re doing, expand your excellent catalog of reviews, but include whatever content you like, Todd. Maybe a second channel or another upload day per week? The sky is the limit and you’ve earned your place to do whatever the hell you want to do!
You’re my absolute go-to channel for product testing & advice. I’m so grateful for you & your vast array of videos. You’ve saved me time, money & effort. I greatly appreciate the product testing & hope you continue. But I’ll watch whatever videos you create 👍🏼
Not sure if you still have all the cloth test pieces, but could you do an extra test to see which (if any) of the degreasers might have "eaten"/damaged the cloth with a tearing test? As always, amazing job Todd. If you're feeling like a change of pace in video content is what you need to feel inspired, then go for it! The last thing I'd want is to see you suffer from burnout in all these comparison reviews (but should you still want to make these, I am 100% for it. They are simply the best).
You're product testing is great. It's also something that you don't find all that often, especially considering the pains you take to ensure accuracy. So I hope you continue to do these. Testing things like engine power improvement devices and such would be great as well. But ultimately your focus on clarity and accuracy, and empirical analysis is going to make your videos top notch regardless of the subject. Keep up the great work!
I absolutely love the product testing it has helped me so much. I for one will watch every video you post. Your years of unbiased transparent and honest testing you’ve earned my trust and then some.
I would keep your channel the way it is - Simple and to the point! I would also like to see a review of paint brushes (for acrylic house paint) and manual caulking guns. I will say that I switched over to the "Twisted" trimmer line and you nailed that review! Very pleased with the performance of the "Twisted" trimmer line

A subscriber for years, I really appreciate your real-world product comparisons. I, for one, don't have what it takes to purchase the many products and test them, head-to-head to see which one is best, subjective or not. Thank you for your great work. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed your videos destroying lawn mower engines!
As long as you still do testing and revues of products from time to time I don't see any reason not to branch out. You are a highlight to my Sundays and anything you do will be entertaining and informative.

All I would ask is that you continue to do product testing from time to time... nobody does it better!
Super Clean is the best I've found, as well. It's got enough sodium hydroxide in it to eat your skin though, so everyone wear your gloves and don't make a habit of breathing the fumes.

Don't change a thing. Your show is fast, and you know how to get to the point. Keep doing what you're doing, my friend. All your videos are well thought out. Great job.
I am happy to see Super Clean rate so high. I've always relied on it when cleaning engines and built up cooking grease because I know it works well for what I can afford. Now I no longer have to wonder if I have been missing out on the more expensive stuff.
Would you recommend it for concrete? I have a furnace that burns heating oil and one time a bunch of soot got onto the concrete floor and it's very difficult to get out.

After using several other products I simply went to the winners of your showdown and purchased Super Clean at Walmart to clean my aircraft hangar after several very messy jobs that really trashed my floor that is epoxy coated. Try using turbine engine gas path cleaner as well. It cleans almost anything off of the epoxy floors. I used go ask the engine mechanics to borrow some.
I love the honest reviews, and I watch them wether I need the info or not! It’s just so well presented and thoroughly tested. But if we got a video every once in a while of a transmission or engine rebuild, I’d love those too!
Have you ever had product tests that didn't make it to the final video because of inconclusive, irrelevant or failed results? If so I think a video compilation of these tests with an explanation of why they didn't work would be pretty cool
I work in an agricultural tractor dealer ship and we use oil eater at full strength most of the time to clean engines, transmissions, hydraulic caked on oil it works very well great stuff in my opinion.
The engine performance thing sounds good to me, Todd. I also think testing things is your thing to do. You've helped me out more than enough! I used Super Clean for the first time a couple weeks ago before watching this video and I'm not surprised Super Clean did so well in this competition. I was amazed at how well Super Clean works. I cleaned an 18 year old diesel engine to replace a water pump and I was shocked at how well it de-greased the engine... it looked new and I didn't even touch it with a brush or rag... just sprayed on the Super Clean... waited a few minutes and rinsed it off!
same, I used it for the first time a few months ago on a really dirty riding lawn mower engine. I sprayed it on and let it soak for not even 20 seconds and sprayed it off with a garden hose and all the grime melted off and I was left with a brand new looking engine. for the money you absolutely cannot beat it

You could test car waxes, razers for shaving, battery endurance, snow shovels, and much much more! Keep up the good and hard work, we all appreciate it!
I remember using that Castrol Super Clean many years ago to degrease an engine bay. I recall the fumes when spraying the product being almost caustic. After several hours most of the grease seemed to just melt off after being rinsed with a pressure washer. Very effective in removing dirt and grease with minimal scrubbing.
Product testing is the heart of the channel, you can do a test video of something else and see if it sticks (or do another channel) but your tests are just so good. I love Super Clean and have been happily using it for years.
This is a really excellent contribution; systematic, packed with validated detail, no filler, covering exactly what I wanted to know. In the Air Force we used a mixture of diesel fuel and something referred to as "gunk". I don't know what that really was. The combination cleaned the airplanes up very well.
Simple Green works pretty good but it's very bad for oil/water separators. I forget the term but it will cling to the oil and let it pass through the oil/water separator.
Simple Green was reformulated maybe 10 years ago to remove 2-butoxyethanol. I find the current product much less effective at removing household grease and oil.
Yup a good tip for someone working with oil paint is to use diesel fuel, which is the same thing as kerosene and much cheaper than store bought paint thinner.

@@enermaxstephens1051 Richard Holdener would be pretty tough to beat in that dept.

You are the God of product testing.

This video was so timely as I am preparing to clean out my garage and reorganize. Your channel is simply unrivaled; thanks for all you do!
You are welcome!
I would love to see your methods in testing simple bolt on modifications to common vehicle engines. There's so many options and could provide you with additional viewer base.
Thanks for the suggestion.
When I was in the Coast Guard we used two products for degreasing. Simple Green and diesel fuel. It's all we used.
Separately, I assume. I'm picturing hundreds of people mixing a bucketful after reading this.
Your product testing is absolutely invaluable. If you want to branch out, I would suggest a second channel to assist viewers in finding the content they prefer
I think ALL in one Channel is better
You are doing a fantastic job giving us an honest review of all the products we are interested in. Your test are practical and stress the items the way we would to find it's weakness and false claims. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
I honestly really appreciate the product reviews. There's so much snake oil and bs out there that it's good to know you're getting a good product or at least know how cheap you can go and still get decent results. I also feel like there are already a decent amount of car maintenance/performance channels already. I only really go to you and TTC for shop products at this point
Thank you for sharing!
@@ProjectFarm thank you for the quality content and rigorous testing!
Id love to see tests of bicycle related products like chain lube, degreaser, tubeless sealant etc. A bit different then your typical test but it would be really interesting to see your test results !
Not to take anything away from Todd's channel, but Ryan at fortnine covers some of that. What he lacks in scientific testing, he makes up for with humor.
Me too!!
Thanks for the suggestion.
The product testing of everyday products are the best!! I wonder how the regular version of Simple Green would have compared to the other ones.
Thank you for sharing!
This guy is the King of product testing and I have recommended him to everyone.
Thanks!
Love your channel and all the hard work you put into it. I hope that you will continue. I think it can be said that you are everything Consumer reports need to be.
Thanks!
Keep doing what you do, it’s so hard to find comprehensive objective reviews👍 other content like rebuilds has a lot of competition so probably not worth taking the time away from doing more of what you do best!
Certainly a very informative test. Unexpected results while also establishing there is no "one" cleaner that is best at all catagories.
Thanks!
