Today at Walmart I saw Super Clean for 11.7 for 2.5 gallons and for 24.00 for a 5 Gallon container. Walmart has detailing drill brushes 3 pack for a great price. It may seem cheap but a penny saved is a penny earned. Great video and thank you again for the tips.
@@randomrazr as Wilson mentioned for wheels, tires, wells and engine bay, avoid using it on interior because its super strong even diluted it will stain plastics and discolor carpets

What a brilliant video. A sterling example of a highly intelligent, street wise American detailer who’s practical, sensible and COST-EFFECTIVE. Very rare these days.
I have to say Luke is one of the most underrated Detailers on youtube. He does not put content out just for hype but actually teach his subscribers. Which I really appreciate. I have learned a ton from him. Thanks Luke!
Spraynine for carpets and interior. Then some type of VRP. Super power for wheels, tires and wheel wells. Then Mequires gold wash. Iv never had more than 6-8 products. Only because they had leather and or suede. And which window cleaner is on sale.
Hyper dressing is 80 something dollars, but can live without it. I use it on tires, wheel wells, trim even some black wheels. Sometimes on leather and interior trim if necessary. Great stuff.
For soaps, take a look at Superior Products brand. Sold at O'Reilly's. Dirt Buster 1 Gal - $11 Cherry Foam 1 Gal - $14 Pretty sure Cherry Foam is Dirt Buster with some extra foaming properties. Ive seen plenty of people use Dirt Buster exclusively even in the foam cannon. They have some other great products as well. Their price point on a bunch of stuff is stupid competitive.
Koch chemie green star is a safer product & just about as cost-effective when diluted properly. It can also be used on more surfaces even on dry surfaces because it isn’t solvent-based like super clean which means less chance of staining etc. Green star is only like $50-$60 for 5L and can be diluted up to 30:1 and still clean lightly soiled surfaces well. I use it 30:1 for pre-wash on dry paint, 10:1 for pre-wash on dry wheels and 20:1 for light interior cleaning. To each their own but I’m willing to pay a bit extra for a safer yet still effective product.👍
I learned from another video why a business created four chemicals an nothing else but did so make them the most versatile in usage. I consider the less as more better for the company an to educated the user to think differently about such purchases as the most cost effective. I never wish to have a ton of options when cleaning up a vehicle. Less is more any day.
So I’m basically looking at cutting costs and doing the same thing. Super clean seems to be the product for wheel cleaning, carpets, engine bays depending on dilution rate. What about interior cleaning, what product do you use? I’m looking for 3-4 products only that I can utilize for car washes / detailing. Except specialized polishing and waxing of course.
Luke, does diluting Super Clean make it act more like an All Purpose Cleaner rather than a De-greaser?? What are the real differences between a de greaser and all purpose cleaner
Wilson is the man! I’m glad I found your videos. You’ve helped me save so much money. And your honest about the products you use. Really appreciate it man.
I’ve thought about taking the leap and going full time detailing but in north ga people would pay what they should iam a detailer not a car wash how could i sell what it takes to really clean a vehicle
Take the leap and believe in yourself! I left an audit gig at Goldman Sachs to pursue my dreams of owning my own detailing shop. I can’t believe I have owned my business for 7 years now…one of the best professional choices I have made. Always make time to learn…YOU GOT THIS! 🙏🏼💯
Hey Luke, I really hope you can respond to this!!! I see you spraying the super clean on the rims then cleaning with the tire brush… do you also use a dedicated tire/ wheel cleaner ever and when? Would you consider iron decon a seperate thing and do you charge seperate? Thank you!!
@@wilsonautodetailing Hey Luke I just started watching again I moved back home 🏡 I'm watching again but if you have not yet will you do a video on when you go to Walmart what to pick up what do what with the cheaper price thank you and do a up date next year in spring thank you❤
Thanks for this video - very helpful! One question, what is the detailing spray you are using at the end? It's safe to use on glass.... doesn't smear? Thanks in advance.
Has anyone tried Orangeblast D-Limonene from Superior Products? How does it compare to Pink Perfection (smell, cleaning power, sudsing)? Citrus D-Limonene Solvent is their more costly gallon at $62. It’s great tar/sap/adhesive and all around a great organic solvent to break down heavy built up grime! Also good to strip silicone dressings where surfactants fail.
can i ask why a water based dressing is preferred on an exterior? not too scientifically educated on the subject. i personally use a solvent based dressing for my exteriors and rubber mats, but due to the strong smell that gases off, i use an interior lvp that is waterbased. i also apply the water based 1 of 2 ways depending on the situation. applied straight, or diluted 5:1 and in a spray bottle. the reason im asking is that the dressing i use on the exterior works very well, im wondering if water based would run if it was rained on or something? curious for any actual info on this more than an opinion, im already grasping on my own lol
Purchase Undrdog Interior if you can get your hands on it... You won't ever use another product it's insane on everything on the interior and rubber mats
Wow, I never thought of diluting dressings! I use Chemical Guys VRP and it is a nightmare to apply with a microfiber applicator and foam brush to the sidewalls on my Nitto Ridge Graps. I’m going to give your method a try the next time I wash my truck!
He said he was using a diluted version of chemical guys VRP. 1:5 ratio. I’m curious how that looks when it dries. Using it in wheel wells, etc… is a much better option than some of the other options out there.
Never worried about product costs; never washed cars as a gig, either. Have never done a truck (sorry, I'm amusing myself a bit too much). We always billed for shop supplies, which included product. I guess it all depends on what kind of work you do.
my girlfriend has an infestation of sugar ants in her car. We cleaned it out. There's no food in it but the ants keep coming back. Do you have a video on how to get ants of your car?
Why use all these crazy expensive car soaps and not just use Dawn? Its been proven time and time and time again that it bubbles up just as fine if not better nor does it harm your paint or engine and the biggest and best positive is it's a fraction of the cost of these over priced car soaps including that Meguirres hyper stuff your touting.

Mostly good advice but what the heck are you doing to the truck? You're literally "washing" the roof while it's dry and baking in the sun. Not to mention your wash mitt has no soap and also half dry. It really seems you're doing more damage to the paint than anything.

If you cut down super clean how should I do it for my wheels being their painted an anodized
