    So this trick is so awesome and easy. How awesome and easy you ask? Well, thank you for the question. Allow me to answer it for you. I practiced this on my 3 year who doesn't even know what cards really are, and she wanted me to perform it for her back to back to back to back to back... you get the idea. I also immediately created a few variations.
    1) I introduced a dice roll to determine how many times the deck is cut by my spectator.
    2) I ask the spectator to pull a card, but not look at it but instead picture what they think it is. Now the trick will determine if they have ESP. Both blew away the minds of everyone I've shown it to.
    One point, don't let the 3 year old handle the cards. Mine bends them, and now my spectators think it's a marked deck.

    • @jaerivus
      @jaerivus 4 года назад +1

      I like your contributions, but can you elaborate on the ESP angle? If they never see the card, how can the reveal be impactful?

    I have been watching since nearly the beginning as social engineering and magic are great interests of mine. I'm not one who hangs out in bars much so I don't get the opportunity to practice stuff on anyone more than my kids usually. That all changed with this video. It's such an easy trick and I finally, for the first time asked a stranger in a bar, can I show you a card trick? It went off flawlessly, and the stranger was amazed at the trick. Great ice breaker trick. Now to work on that repertoire... Thanks for everything you do to share your knowledge, Brian.

    • @bahaako1
      @bahaako1 6 лет назад +4

      Another way of doing the last pile, is to count out the cards from the top, as shown in the video, but keeping the top card slightly injogged. When you have counted out the cards, you are left with a small pack with the top card injogged. Move your hands together in the act of squaring up the pack, put your right thumb at the top of the small pack and your left thumb on the back of the injogged card. That will allow you to put the small pack down, while retaining the top card on top of the deck. Makes sense?
      The subtlety in the video is great, however if you were to perform it again, it becomes suspicious. So it's nice to have different ways of doing it to avoid suspicion.

      For something light and fast, once you're familiar with the system you can use your knowledge to quickly "guess" a player's card.
      Maybe have them perform a few cuts, and then have them draw the top card. After just a sneaky glimpse at the bottom and a momentary calculation, you can reveal their card's value to them any way you want.
      However the better method of selection would probably be like in this video, where he cuts the deck at their card, and then glimpse the bottom card while they're studying their own.

I can do the many equals 1 card down silently if I am concerned that someone wipl catch that. I'm pretty sure these 2 points will make this stickbin my memory better.

      If red is chosen, count three + one (detector 1) then seven + one (detector 2).
      If black is chosen, count five + one (detector 1) then five + one (detector 2).
      It doesn't matter how many you count out on the third pile, the top card on that pile is the thirteenth card and your final detector.

    Couldn't you just say Heart and land on the previous black and not have to "steal" the top card?

      No, because then you would be off for the value (the last card)

    I understand why it was made into a lie detector trick but I don't like how it is a lie detector. It's saying that the card is part of these choices and we come up with telling them they're lying or not. I think it'd be better in this setup if you didn't show them the cards until the end, to show what the card actually is, and instead while the trick progresses keep the cards to yourself and call their honesty out saying the cards ratted on them or something

      Landing Gear Yes, I would personally perform this old classic with a marked deck.This provides you with more flexibility in this respect. The reveals can be made to seem more pure.

      If your still wondering, make sure you only spell on jack queen and king and when they take the card, take the top half and put it on the bottom, the top car should be the card below the one they chose.

    I guessed at the beginning it was stysteven stack when you said at the beginning to guess so I got it right and it seemed that way on how he was laying out the cards
