John is the consummate entertainer, and a true gentleman of the music industry. He gives 'his all' to his audience. I don't think I have ever seen a frown on his face; he enjoys performing to his fans/audience, who always leave better than when they came. A joy to watch.

I was 1 year old when this gem was released and I loved it.
I was lucky enough to see one of his Jack's Back concerts in Melbourne, it was fantastic. When he was singing You're the Voice and the bag piper came out and started his piece it made my night the best thing ever.
John was also in a tv show called Bobby Dazzler, it was a comedy, I have vague memories of watching it growing up.❤❤❤

When you said. ‘How many would do this live for his fans at a concert ‘. My first thought was, John’s concerts aren’t like other concerts. It’s like you are in his huge lounge room and you are part of the family. He talks and laughs with fans. Oh and the Mexican wave lol. You aren’t just watching, you are part of it. John brings audience, his band and himself together - you feel welcomed. Now you have me tearing up.

Shakes, thank you for playing this. I wasn't born when "Sadie " came out, but I grew up in the 80s and John Farnham was one of my celebrity crushes ( Jimmy Barnes is my second). John and Jimmy's music were the anthems of my teenage years and I feel blessed to still have them both in my 48 yr old life. Australian music is like none other in the world IMHO [ humble]. Love when others are introduced to them both among other Aussie artists. We have had them selfishly to ourselves since the 60s and we have been truly blessed. I feel this way anyway. Hi, loved this reaction to 18 years old Farnsey. Yes, we're all fingers crossed for a full recovery for John so that he has a long and happy life with his family and friends. More performing? He'll be 75 this year. He'd already retired from touring when the covid pandemic closed the world down. More recording? His family said he is recovering well and singing around the house. His friend Gaynor, (whose late husband Glenn Wheatley was John's long time friend and manager) says his vocal chords are unaffected. It's been a hard 18 months for John, more reconstruction surgery after the original 11+ hour operation in which part of his jaw was removed, plus rehab - everything entailed to give the best possible outcome. I read a comment somewhere that he has a lot of unreleased material - perhaps that might go into production at some point? Feb'24. UK. E❤

John was doing a fund raising concert called The Best for the Bush concert to raise money for drought effected Queensland and New South Wales just after doing a fund raising concert for Rwanda. He told the audience that it was a bit of a struggle to pick songs for this concert, then someone in the audience yelled out Sadie! He said you haven’t got enough money to get me to sing that but maybe they could negotiate. He ended up singing Sadie the last song of the concert with the audience and other performers on stage singing along too! ruclips.net/video/eyjSHOmX-yc/видео.html

I love the band NIN, even their 1st album Pretty Hate Machine, the record company was stuck in the 80's and didn't know what the band could do and put them in a pop can.
Cold Chisel went to USA and the record company tried to put them in a copy/paste can but were big here so stuck up the middle finger and came home singing You got nothin I want.
Johnny was a kid and like a circus act yeah nice voice, he had to work hard to get where he is now. The movie coming out should put light on that.
How many kids do well in TV shows only to think I've done it and stagnate. 50 years later he could be forgotten but talent not enough, he needed help and got it luckily.

I seen him on a midday show from memory Ray Martin show
He asked John about it and plays up to hating it
But then says he actually love it as how could you hate something that made you
He just likes to play with the audience and they like to play along with the joke
Just like he has a great relationship with his mother inlaw and always in interviews refer to her as the dragon lady
The interviewer sad you'll be in trouble now he's said she be their drinking his beers
Then looks at the camera as said their be NO beer in fridge when he gets home because dragon lady wouldn't drank them as you better leave me atleast one
Ever since then every interview he brings up the dragon lady
He said he gets a kick at audience wanting it sung
If you listen to his help with Melbourne symphony orchestra
Just before he's singing you can hear the audience chanting
    They are chanting Sadie

A lot of people think it is one of the dancers in the early clip, who is expecting a child, who john later does a duet with, which is wrong.
