Great lesson! Prior to this, I watched tutorials by this author on Rigify, but I prefer this addon more. Mainly because it's easier to work with weights in it. A small tip: if someone is having trouble attaching a horse with a saddle and other items to the bones in Voxelized mode, increase the Voxel to 10-12.
Great tutorial and great addon. However, can you show how to manually rig and connect saddle and stirrup? You said you will make separate tutorial for that :). I added limb -> Chain bendy bones, but can't parent it to original rig, to follow horse but still can be edited manually. I will have jockey on my horse and I need to animate stirrup separately since it will be moved to match jockey legs.
@@UnchartedWorlds And vice versa haha Well, I'll try to do both but if you watch the Quadruped videos, you may learn enough to rig a Dinosaur. It's mostly about how you use the leg. What kind of dino are you interested in, by the way?

You want to either append or link the character. Ctrl c, Ctrl v is basically the same as appending. There is info about this ARP manual. I can send you the link later if you can't find it.
@@CGDive Aye, I was looking for abit more in depth guide on custom bones etc. I know you can add limbs but what about single bones for weapon slots or equipment slots? i read in docs bones are to have CC before them. Can this be done before Match Rig or after? Also there is a custom bone tab, but not sure if you covered that yet.
@@SuperMontana2008 from my experience you can just add bones before match to rig. Then after you click match to rig they'll be there with some basic parenting that you established in the reference rig. Then in the final rig you can do additional parenting and constraining. As long as you don't do anything too crazy it should ask just work.

I'm having a bit of a hard time. My characters long sleeves are influencing his pants and when i try to weight paint check it after setting up the rig its not showing me the influence. my character has large pants too...the rig didnt quite work T_T
Yeah, I am actually very interrested by a weight painting tutorial... but like a real one, with exercices and theory behind it... how it works and all.... EVERY tutorials on weight painting on RUclips/other platform actually is just "look at how I did THIS", with no explaination whatsoever ...

@@jumpingfrog4323 Yeah, the process would be the same. You need mocap data of a horse. Then match the bone pairs and it should work.
