I like how our female lead and male lead actually COMMUNICATE unlike other ancient c-drama romance where female lead is this airhead and act nothing like the woman of their presenting era but the male lead still falls in love with them because they are "unlike other girls." -_- SPOILER ALERT BELOW - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It takes around 30 episodes for their first kiss and another 5 for them to finally open up to each other and accept and forgive each other. (that's when the smexy time happens on episode 35) ;^)
when concubine Qian begs Shiyi for the right of raising the little boy, but the actress who plays concubine Qian really kneels on the pebble ground. That must be hurt.
She keeps putting her foot in her mouth...one if these days she going choke on a toe. Despite great madam's good qualities, her impartiality toward that concubine overshadows all. Quite irritating...
Lainfang really have a small child a sharp weapon as a “toy” to play with… she’s so daft. She was trying to win brownie points but as usual, ended up with egg on her face.
When Lianfang was looking at Concubines Wen and Shiliu talking about the kid, from her expression I was thinking what kind of stupid idea she has, soon enough it turned out to be really a stupid one, to make matters worse she blames Shiyi again lol.
