3weeks of non stop rewatching this drama.I am super in love to Ren and Seven in this drama.They acted so natural.There is no a lot of kissing but still they have shown love and sweetness to each other 's character.Holding hands,hugs and eye to eye caress are so sweet to captures heart of the viewer.
I've watched both, and some other series as well, but Under the Power is still the best. This adaptation is even better than the book, and I don't say that often!
The best Chinese drama I've watched until now. It makes you laugh, get angry, cry and love this naive girl that is really sweet. I am a fan of Ren and this is his best performance, he is really a good actor.

I've watched The Sword and the Brocade. Loved it and fell in love with Tan Songyun. I watched The Fox's Summer 1 & 2, and I loved it too. So, seeing how great she was, I then watched UTP. This is now the best Songyun series for me. She's such a joy to watch in every scene from drama, comedy, action, and romance. She also has great chemistry with all her male co-stars. I'm a solid Xiao Zhan-only-fan, but I have learned to appreciate Wallace and now Allen through her. Songyun has a refreshing way of delivering her lines, and her gestures and facial expressions are always on point. I think she's naturally extremely pretty and cute! Phenomenal talent that needs more respect and appreciation.
Male lead in this uniform and with his piercing look is so handsome and hot, and female lead is strong, quick-witted and super cute, what a great combo!

Since Nov 2000 we paid TVB overseas yearly subscriptions as we like to watch Hong Kong Cantonese series. Recently they have broadcasted more China mandarin series instead of Cantonese. This year I just started to watch it on youtube as I can read and write mandarin. We will stop our TVB subscription from next year.

Allen Ren is the first Chinese actor I watched with Yang Zi in Destiny of white snake. He I love his acting, he is serious in any role he play and deliver it perfect with co-actors
Ren Jialun really shines in this series. I have seen him in Detective Dee and The Destiny of the White Snake and that I did not even remember him. Nothing stood out. But in this series, man!, he is the most memorable and his performance is mesmerizing. Needless to say he looks extremely hot in those uniforms!

He’s such an amazing and versatile actor. Loved that he takes on different roles and can act them all so well. His acting is so natural, that he makes them look so real. He was amazing in ”The Glory of Tang Dynasty” it was remarkable drama and great story-telling with the combination of his chemistry with the female lead. He really did an incredible acting portrayed Li Chu (Emperor Daizong) character. The acting abilities he showed in that drama was awe-inspiring. One of the best performances I've seen^^
To me, UNDER THE POWER is the best Chinese period drama I've ever watched. This is an excellent historical drama to watch with all the casts especially Allen and Steven doing the superb roles naturally thanks and congratulations to the writer, producers and crew for a job well done, this is what I like in chinese dramas, their budget is sky limit that the scenes are done well!

I love , love, LOVE Seven Tan and Allen Ren in this drama!!!! So many laughs, tears, romance, mystery...this drama has it all!! So underestimated and underappreciated! The supporting cast of actors and actresses were absolutely amazing too!

Allen Ren is the first Chinese actor I watched with Yang Zi in Destiny of white snake. He I love his acting, he is serious in any role he play and deliver it perfect with co-actors
Ren Jialun really shines in this series. I have seen him in Detective Dee and The Destiny of the White Snake and that I did not even remember him. Nothing stood out. But in this series, man!, he is the most memorable and his performance is mesmerizing. Needless to say he looks extremely hot in those uniforms!

I watched allen in Mr Lizard before but wasnt a fan. However, this drama certainly changed that. The role is tailor made for him. and ooooh his is so hot in that uniform.

This Romantic thriller is Timeless and excellent Series, I've been watching this countless times every night repeatedly, oh dear... I don't know when I'm gonna stop watching this, im addicted to this already. This is simply addictive to watch. Thanks to all Actors , actresses, production crew etc. I really love watching this. Perfectly done. Hopefully there will be a season 2 for this where Jin Xia and Luyi are married with children and so on. Finger's cross. I love you all ❤️❤️❤️
He’s such an amazing and versatile actor. Loved that he takes on different roles and can act them all so well. His acting is so natural, that he makes them look so real. He was amazing in ”The Glory of Tang Dynasty” it was remarkable drama and great story-telling with the combination of his chemistry with the female lead. He really did an incredible acting portrayed Li Chu (Emperor Daizong) character. The acting abilities he showed in that drama was awe-inspiring. One of the best performances I've seen^^

To me, UNDER THE POWER is the best Chinese period drama I've ever watched. This Drama is really enjoyable and fun to watch because of Allen Ren Jialun and Seven Tan Song Yun characters here both are great actors, their chemistry together is perfect, both eyes can communicate and can express true love with each other. Seven Tan is best actress gorgeous, naturally can act cute and funny too, her fake crying and invented stories was the best 🤣😂😂no wonder Sir Luyi told Chunyu Min Jinxia is best at enchanting people 😅🤣because Sir Luyi himself was enchanted by Jinxia's personality, character, beauty, intelligence, bravery and tracking skill too. Allen Ren Jialun is best actor too his character as Luyi is simply captivating, outstanding, imposing, handsome.He was hateful, mean and cold from the beginning but warm and lovable in the end because of Jin Xia which he never thought that such kind of lady does exist and thanks to Jin Xia his bad memory about Tao yao instrumental song Became beautiful because he found true love thru Jinxia😁. This is an excellent historical drama to watch with all the casts especially Allen and Steven doing the superb roles naturally thanks and congratulations to the writer, producers and crew for a job well done, this is what I like in chinese dramas, their budget is sky limit that the scenes are done well!
