The ML had an 8, 12, and 18 year old sons, lol. He also mentioned that his previous wife died during childbirth (she was pregnant with a little girl). There still seemed to be a bit of trauma surrounding her death, which is why his sons lashed out when they first met the FL and her daughter (thankfully, they warmed up tho) ML also said if his little girl was alive, she would be just like Ruyi. The FL’s maid also mentioned that the FL risked her life to give birth to Ruyi, so I just assumed in the end, both the ML and FL were content with the children they already had.
This is a cute story about a mother and daughter that start a new life after the jerk ex divorced the beautiful female lead. The mother and daughter duo meet the charismatic duke and along they way they form a beautiful family bound.
This is a wonderful, lighthearted, funny and sweet mix of the “My Husband Abandoned Me After He Became the Top Scholar”-story and a “Rebirth / Deity Reincarnates into the Human Realm”-story with really good actors and an entertaining (and low on tropes) storyline where FL is actually the child. There are a few editing errors (scenes in wrong order) but it doesn’t ruin anything. I liked this smart/humble/cautious 2FL although she was too weak IMO but I loved the powerful/calm/nice ML. The brilliant/cunning kid/FL was simply outstanding. Definitely a “Must Watch”. SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!! FL, a deity, is one day reborn into the human realm. When she wakes up, she finds that her mother (2FL) has been abandoned by her father who is now a top scholar, wanted by important officials in the capital and marrying the Minister of Revenue’s daughter.
