▶【Synopsis】Set during the Ming Dynasty, the story revolves around the romance between General Xu Lingyi and the concubine's daughter Shiyiniang that starts from an arranged marriage. Despite being born with a low status, Luo Shiyiniang is extremely assertive and believes that a woman's vision should not be limited to the household. She hopes to rely on her embroidery skills as a ticket to freedom. However, the once esteemed Luo family is in a state of decline. Hoping to save the clan through a marriage alliance, Shiyiniang is selected to become the wife of Yongping Duke and great general Xu Lingyi. Things were not easy for Shiyiniang due to the Xu family's biases towards her. Nonetheless, she manages to win over their trust through her optimism and sincerity. Xu Lingyi also becomes attracted to Shiyiniang's various beautiful qualities such that husband and wife manage to find love after marriage.

Danyang may be haughty from time to time but the way she loves her husband and is willing to accept FQ is commendable. I like her a lot.

Finally someone gave her what she needed, a slap. Even Lianfang was surprised that her plan backfired. She goes on about how she knows Lingyi best, she really should have thought this plan out. It's a reason why he kept quiet. He didn't want to upset the pregnancy but Lianfang when right ahead and used her to frame Shiyi. Thank you Princess.

I love the calming effect she has on the household... Normally we see the protagonist in concubine wars as being agressive in response to aggression and a set of highly volatile incidents and sometimes destruction of the household. Her nemesis causes disorder to the household because of her self centeredness. The change caused by our protagonist is slow but she is patient, thoughtful and considerate ( while still being closet feisty)
The Xu family is so messsssy 😂 The skeletons keep falling out the closet and hitting Shiyi. Who is concubine Tong now? No man I'm dead at this noble family's unending scandals 👀

I swear Shiyi is the cutest ever I’ve watched a few history theme dramas and she’s just so cute and dealing with her enemies in a smart non-explosive way some leads plot a big comeback but ShiYi just makes actions come to light while saving the day and they get punished by their own actions and not by a plot Shiyi put into action to frame them
I keep forgetting that 15 was marriage ages for girls back than so to see her be so smart so young and LF so evil so young is something

Its funny how everyone is trying to move his emotions but to no avail. But now, Ling Yi who is not moved emotionally by anyone of his concubines, now, he tries to move his legal wife emotionaly. He’s trying to steal her heart.

Danyang is a character that is experiencing growth. I know she must be hurt and scared but she can truly see that her husband cares for her. As for that Qiao person, i didn't think she would stoop so low to try to kill an innocently by stander. but then again, she has no moral compass and she is delusional.
That scene in the rain with him apologizing to her father in-law, and finally acknowledging his wrong, was emotional for me. first he is finally acting mature, and second it really showed that he loved danyang.

看著她說讓五爺去看看鳳卿眼睛裡含著淚 真是讓人心疼！
丹陽這部份處理的非常高明且委婉，這才是高度和格局，但也是不得不的隱忍。幸好十一娘說的話提點了她，而她是聰明人也聽得進去，一下便想清楚箇中脈絡，並且直接明白的拆除喬姨娘設的惡把戲，也算成功的化解了婚姻危機。丹陽和喬姨娘都出身名門，結果在重要時刻，兩人的處理態度和作為格局卻差別好大！
丹阳的演技感人肺腑让人身临其境感动的同时，也悔恨自己带着两个8岁和9岁孩子在国外，虽然生活还算安逸，但是她们的母亲嘴上说爱孩子却抛下了她们回国了……看似幸福却是可怜的孩子，每当夜深人静替她们盖好被子的时候，总想自己对不住孩子每每都会心如刀割，唯一的庆幸让姐妹两个都在一起。

I don’t understand the hierarchy of the family. The oldest brother (1st) died, then he became the head of the family (2nd son), then how is the younger brother the 5th son? What happened to the other brothers in between?
Danyang knew and I admire how she regained her composure.She truly derserve her title❤️
First of all, kudos to the casting director because Seven Tan is perfect for this role. She's able to project pure joy through her smiles and her eyes, which are luminous. It's that light and cheerful quality in Shiyi that draws Lingyi out of the cold shell he's encased himself in. Her pure and innocent personality is the opposite of the calculating looks of those around her. She's just adorable and never so much as in this scene where she dresses him. When she's putting the belt on and gives that little grunt of effort as her wee little arms struggled to reach around him...omg...I thought heart emojis were going to start streaming out of my eyes at that moment. So cute!!!! Seems our Marquis thinks so too with his little smile. So in love with this couple.
So sad the princess knows that her husband is the child's father but her baby is first priority.
Tha truth is the chemistry and the acting here are of greater level am really hooked and Lingyi's smile is everything its damn cute

Danyang probably knew the kid is her husband's, from the clues she got probably she knows it in her heart but she loves her husband so much, I just hope when the truth comes out she won't be sad.

I've noticed that Shiyi has multiple outfit changes per episode, but most of the other women in the show have worn the same costume for the entire series, lol. Even the main male characters have multiple outfits. But anyway, Shiyi's pink dress with the plum hair accessories looked stunning, my fav so far.
All of her outfits look so beautiful on her. One of my favorites was the Imperial red dress she wore to the palace and the one she wore when she got caught in the rain and finally told him how she felt about him.
