Around a week to get the best out of the picture.Absolute superb superior TV.Incredible blacks and colour. Sound not as good as I hoped, 2 plus 1 Atmos but use with soundbar. Really appreciate separate earc plus additional 2.1 HDMI.

I went from a 65" LG CX to a 75" QM8 and I gotta say I'm very impressed with this tv. Positives: great black levels and contrast. Negatives: Expected better sound with the subwoofer in the back. The CX being Oled of course has better black levels and the sound IMO is much better than the QM8. Overall though when you factor in the QM8's size and price for the picture quality you get, it's an excellent TV!
Do you think the extra size of the Qm8 makes it the more preferable tv to watch when compared to your CX for movies? I’m wondering if I should go with a large OLED, perhaps 83 inches vs an even larger TCL, maybe the 98 inch one here, your thoughts would be much appreciated!
@@usmankhalid990 the bigger size definitely improves the experience, but I’ve seen lesser quality tvs look worse the bigger they get. Clean screen, lacking blotches, and dirty screen effect? How good is their local dimming algorithm with all these zones on such a monster screen? @nigelferreira9960 Exactly! A TV can have all the fancy stuff, but if it can't process that information correctly, it's pointless. Sony is pretty much the best at that.
B, I am deciding between the 98" Sony X90L vs 98" TCL QM8. I will only use it for 4k blu ray HDR / Dolby Vision movies in a dark room (no sports, no gaming, no RUclips). I am a movie buff. Both are the same price at $10,000. Which one would you recommend in this scenario?
I stopped trusting low brand TVs never lasts as long and they turn blue. Or you actually start to see individual LED diodes in the back through the screen just because of the low quality of the panel itself. Usually lower brands. Take an LED and give her all She's got with a higher brand like Samsung and Sony LG. They take higher rated light bulbs and dim them down so they last longer and they don't burn the crap out of your TV if it's running really hot all the time
My original first mini led 65 825 TCL has excellent blooming control by crushing blacks a bit. It has almost 2000 nits in HDR too, I still love it in my bedroom. Hopefully this monster gets even brigther with better black levels yet. I upgraded to a 75 Z9K last July and it blows away the TCL in almost every way, so bright and beautiful, but TCL still has better blooming control. Be interesting to see what you think of it when you time to fine tune it and watch the videos you know what they should look like. You must have got one of the first sets for review, congratulations.
I came into enough money to comfortably afford the 75 and I wanted a bigger nicer TV so I bought it. I've always liked the picture Sony TVs give you, just not the price. It is a mini led TV as well and I loved the picture the TCL had so figured it should be way better and so far for me it is. You buy whatever you want and can afford, so did I
Looking forward to the upcoming comparison review. Love the honest comparisons. Why spend double the money for a 10% improvement. Many RUclips reviewers show how the high-end TVs are better but few tell you the (minor improvements) upgrade is worth spending $$$ significantly more money for. That’s not what the TV manufacturers want to hear from (their) reviewers.

Will this be over baring in a theater room or will color/sharpness suffer if I'm running it on the low side of the brightness. Cant wait to see the a thorough review. Thanks! Keep up the good work.
