I have an 85” and I must say, for video gaming and movies, BIG is amazing. It’s not 97 but I didn’t pay $30,000 for it either! The TV it replaced was a 720i 50” Plasma from 2006 so it was quite the upgrade!

@@denissssss8579 That's the move! The A80L 83" is the only TV in the A80L lineup that interests me because it's a direct replacement for the A90J 83", and it has a glossy panel along with the Heatsink for brighter HDR highlights.

Crazy to think that in its day the plasma was equivalent to this in terms of being the absolute best of the best.

I have an 85" in the living room and a 75" in the bedroom. Wherever I go, a big screen follows me :D
However, if you don't have the sound to match the big screens, you might not be taking full advantage of the settings. I got a Q990c for the living room and Q930b for the bedroom.

TV and other large formats of this year will be obsolete in 2 or 3 years compared to what is on market at that time, I could never justify $30k. Not even talking about affordability in this case. But just longevity. Definitely $10k or so. But not 30k. If they threw in a technology leap free panel upgrade after 3 years so that $30k lasts 6 years, then maybe. It just doesn't feel like a good investment otherwise.

Congrats man! Would you mind sharing the model number of that Signature remote? I'd really want to track it down for my G4 83", and I've read there's compatibility issues with last year's models (PM23 and PM22) on this year's TVs. Maybe the M4 remote works flawlessly accross all 2024 LG OLEDs models? Thanks!!!
