Great video, man! Glad I could lend a hand here and there during the install. I had no idea it could take that long!
I thought that was your new home!
@@MrBjorn6 Oh no...I'm staying in my mother's home. It's like I'm in High School again...
Good to see you doing well Channa
Gotta appreciate that we live in an era where a mattress sized TV is a completely normal thing.
They keep getting bigger.
@@BTheInstaller I almost got a 75" during xmas, now I'm going all in with a Sony 85" because might as well fill the whole wall! 🤣
I have an 85” and I must say, for video gaming and movies, BIG is amazing. It’s not 97 but I didn’t pay $30,000 for it either! The TV it replaced was a 720i 50” Plasma from 2006 so it was quite the upgrade!
Enjoy that upgrade!
I’ve got 83“ OLED (Sony A80L) and yes it’s amazing as well man. Bigger is better.
@@denissssss8579 That's the move! The A80L 83" is the only TV in the A80L lineup that interests me because it's a direct replacement for the A90J 83", and it has a glossy panel along with the Heatsink for brighter HDR highlights.
Crazy to think that in its day the plasma was equivalent to this in terms of being the absolute best of the best.
I have an 85" in the living room and a 75" in the bedroom. Wherever I go, a big screen follows me :D
However, if you don't have the sound to match the big screens, you might not be taking full advantage of the settings. I got a Q990c for the living room and Q930b for the bedroom.
I better watch out or else Techno Dad's gonna take my job!
Haha! Never!

Keep wearing spandex and you'll be ok... 😉
The big 🖥
Great video and meticulously installed. I love how you repaired the drywall before installing the TV. The TV cost more than the house.
He should use drywall mesh tape over the seems on the drywall patch before mudding it to prevent it from cracking on the seem later.
It’s good to see two of my favorites techno dad and B the installer working together 👍
I went from a 77" LG C1 to an 85" QN95C, and I thought I was making moves. Nope. I couldn't imagine from either TV to a 97" TV. Great set up! Enjoy it!
I have no idea the about the manufacturing difference of going up close to 100” on an OLED, but it’s such a huge price jump vs say going from a 75” +/- to an 85”. I’m waiting patiently for a Sony Master series 100” new generation OLED to replace my A90J 83” which I love, but not at $30K.
thats the stupidest thing I ever heard, if I where you I had kept te 77 oled vs gaining 8 inches more and downgrading to a QLED Samsung
@@leifharaldlongbeardiii861 Not stupid at all. I still have the LG C1 77". I keep my old TVs except the A80J 65". I sold that for $800 locally a few months ago. Unfortunately I received two QN95C's with bad panels so now I'm getting a refund check. I'm still in the market for an 83" -85" TV.
@@leifharaldlongbeardiii861It depends on your use case. I wanted a bigger TV for primarily sports, and not having to worry about burn in. I still have my LG C1 77". Unfortunately I received two defective QN95C 85" panels so I'm forced to take the refund. I'm still in the market for an 83"-85" TV
Kinda crazy that you get so accustomed to the size of a tv so fast. Just got a s5 98 inch tcl and i thinking that i could be a bit bigger 😂
Went from 65 inch LG C9 to 77 inch Samsung S90C. The screen looked so big but then I got used to the size in just a week
@M.B.o.D haha alright nice upgrade you got, the statement a tv can never be to big Is really true 😃
"Jenny couldn't make it but I have my friend Techno Dad and I think he's pretty enough."

B is such a chill guy!!!!! Love you guys and your work.💓
I’m using the dust pan from now on, so smart. Really like the magic.
Pretty much anytime that comes in a wooden crate is on a different level
Nice to see technodad around, cool to watch AV community influencers on action together
Omg, that was a lot of work to do in one day! We obviously can’t see the full 12 hours it probably took but I could tell you were exhausted! Props to you guys! 👏
Filming and planning is half the battle. Long day. Thanks.
For those watching: this thing is about $30,000 lol
which is kinda strange since you're paying ~60% more money for ~8% more diagonal screen from 77" to 83" and ~275%(!!!!) more money for ~17% from 83" to 97" lol
maybe I'm just too poor for this to make sense
And it’s 4k, at this price point only 8k should be considered.
I think these larger screens are made to order, so probably a bit more labour for these companies to pay out
You are not correct. There is absolutely no use for 8K. No content, no nothing. Makes absolutely no sense at all@@need4speed290
I would have to build an addition onto my apartment to fit this in...so don't feel too bad!😆
Shouldn't the smaller models cost more because of their sharper image? This is even without considering how judder is magnified on surge a large surface. At that size 4K makes no sense. Should be at least 8K tu future proof it for the next 5 years. But 8K TVs don't yet support 120Hz.
Came for the tv...... Stayed for those sweet Martin Logan Electrostats and the good vibes from Techno Dad and Team 🙂
Beautiful Tv. Great job. Massive Box.
Good to see technodad there! Love seeing the home theater/speaker community together
Imagine watching Michigan smoking Alabama on that tv 🤤
Ayyyy!! What's up?!
@@TechnoDad ayyyyy!!! Haha. Didn't realize you were out in California! That's awesome man!
Your tech setup is amazing!
is this a $30k tv inside a $50k apartment?
😂😂😂
You jealous bro?
@m7ali935 umm that's not jealous he just pointing out what it is
So what! Why are you so much concern about his apartment!
Now his apartment is worth 80k
I went from OLED to mini LED (but in 85") this year and never looked back. I love the brightness and color richness of the mini LED. I will be purchasing the audio calibration from you soon for my Nakamichi Dragon soundbar. Thanks
How much do you love your Nakamichi Dragon?
That's why the Sony X95L is the best 4k mini-led in tha 🌎! You can only see it @ a very select few electronic stores in the US as Best Buy doesn't carry it...The X93L comes close kinda and in it's own right looks great but the X95L's blacks are nearly oled black along with even better contrast & higher specular HDR highlights...
@@MrBjorn6 In my honest review. The Dragon is awesome for movies. It does live up to the hype and the youtube reviews. The volume adjustment is from 1-100 level, but 18 is more than enough for my medium sized living room. However, I'm a hi fidelity music enthusiast, I still prefer hi fi gears for music listening.
I don’t just understand why risk paying 30,000 for oled a risk for burn in
That’s the only reason I have. Probably with this oled no doubt it’s the best picture quality
@@calvinstewardjr4575in life u have risks for everything. U still drive right? U still fly in an airplane? Burn in will happen but honestly I use mine all day and for 4 years now no burn in at all.. now If ur watching static images then ok u know what ur getting into. Oled is worth it.
Your channel is a safe haven for positivity, thank you for that.
How does the image quality compare to the 97 inch G2? Are they the same or is this similar to the non MLA 83 inch G3?
Congrats to the owner. Nice Martin Logans too!!
The sign of a professional installer is him using a dust pan to catch the debris from drilling holes, instead of cleaning it up after it falls on the floor or furniture.
I enjoy your videos in the install of this TV. As an electrician, I would’ve liked to of seen you splice all the wires together and pigtail out to the receptacle you took power from rather than to use the backstab.
Great set up amazing tv.
Dude has a real system. Martin Logan Speakersto boot. ❤
Would have been good t put it on a wall mount that would bring the TV out to where the speakers are so it is closer and hence even bigger from the view spot. Flush wall mounts don't make sense when everything below and around them comes out 2'
Truly amazing TV and wireless technology, but how does it work with home theater systems? Can he use all speakers or even more with Dolby Atmos? Thinking of getting one myself but not sure if I only can use built in speakers...
Why does it look small on his wall he needs a bigger tv 🤣
😂😂😂
Do those new remotes work for the older oleds (g2) and can you buy them? 🤔
And I thought the $2500 deal I got an 83" LG C2 was too much.. granted, I got a 77" C2 for $2500 6 months earlier. Love them both.
Where did u get that deal
In smaller rooms like this one a dark wall color behind the TV adds to the immersive quality. Its a great TV: would love to have one. I only have an 85" but my dark curtains behind it make it look big and more impactful.
I just bought the TCL 98"S5 because of your review. Thanks
This is so lucky he gets to try new tv every now and then
Martin Logan speakers are one of the best sounding speakers I ever owned. But, they are way too close to the wall, and have no dampening behind them... You are getting 20% of what they can do. The difference in sound will surprise you!
Nice review keep up the good work B the installer
Cutting into a wooden wall looks funny from a German sturdy wall perspective :D
Great video as always and good to see my friend @technodad helping you out.
Thank you for helping that Muslim family. ❤️
great video. I would make pigtails instead of backstabbing the connection from the outlet you pulled power from
I have the 77inch G2 and I'm always amazed by it. We would need to use the other wall to fit the 97 inch.
Hammer TV ! Richtiger Kavenzmann !!
For those wondering his speakers are about $20,000 higher than his TV. Oh yea. EACH Speaker. You’re looking at a $130,000 setup!
This speakers are esthetically atrocious though.. let’s be real.
@@LemonJelly777 So is the Cybertruck.
@@twosawyers agreed.
That's a lot of money to watch reruns of the Beverly Hillbillies.
You don’t know what you’re talking about, do you bud? The models in that lineup are 3-5k/pair.
سبحان الله وبحمده 😊
The best of video that wall
love it from egypt
Great video. Just bought my LG 83" G3 series OLED this week and finished the install which was very similar to yours however I have to agree the remote still SUCKS! I guess a penny under $30k spent still doesn't entitle me to get a nicer metal remote or at least one that has LIGHTING. Boo.
The cord design being long can be channeled behind the sht. Rock lower to be next to another outlet in the same stud bay. It appears thats the reason, possibly 🤔
nice to see tecnodad keep the great work man , best regards from colombia
영상을 보고 갈등 중입니다. TV 바꾼지 1년도 안됐는데... 설정도 완전 취향 저격!
Oled for me is history. I got 2 years ago a lg oled tv and now after 2 years the screen is burning in and the colors is not good. Yellow is green and i got stripes in my screen. Big bummer!
Macha Allah great tv great job congratulation
He also has good taste in speakers with those electrostats.
I went from 50" to a 75" Sony and it was amazing, also bought a new speaker system. I'm getting Govee TV Backlight 3 Lite next which changes colour with the screen.
I always watch your RUclips
Im from Phillipines
I love tvs since i was a child
Anyone know what wireless protocol LG uses to transmit the video signal?
LG's M3's Zero Connect Wireless Box generates its own encrypted 60Ghz carrier. Here's the link to the .pdf spec. sheet with all of the technical specifications: valueelectronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/LG_OLED_M3_Series_2023_SpecSheet-1.pdf
That wall paper OLED with sound bar and with all the connections in that sound bar cutting edge technology with pop up speakers lol this is to remind some people LG is boss with one connect box damn those where the day's
Holy cr@p! That tv is $30k??? I love my home theater setup but I can’t even justify $5k for the TCL. lol. To each their own though. Hope he enjoys it.
Man that thing looks great from my poor man’s 77” S90C. Lol. Sweet tv!!
$30,000 seems pricey for 2023 love to see a side by side with the $7,999 98 inch sony bravia tv.
The biggest question I feel we all want to know is how such a young guy could afford a $30,000 TV!!!
🙏 Maybe the bigger question now is how a Middle aged man is coming off as a young guy 🤔😂
Side question how can a muslim afford such a big tv and the installation without our help and DEI!
I have a 9 inch tab and it gets work done
How much do you think it would cost roughly for such an installation job ?
C2 83 owner here, I love mine so good on movie nights but this thing looks incredible. But that’s $45k in Aussie dollars that’s just stupid to pay that amount for a tv. We can get 98 inch Samsung qn90a and Sony 90l leds for $7-9k instead. Would hate to downgrade to led but size is king in the living room.
Those would both be great as well.
what speakers are those on the side? i dont understand them
BROOOO.. no backstabbing
great video.. But.. I find it interesting how much the signal was reduced with a person walking between the transmitter and the tv. That is not good..
Should have just bought a wall mount that allows you to move your TV how you like it. A lot less mounting. The Screws are larger and screw right into the wall boards.
That last TV you just removed looked absolutely beautiful and was a good size.
Once you go OLED, you never go back!
Good to see Techno Dad
Great video B
Hello thanks.ya really amazing.
Are those speaker towers to the left and right 4:32 ?
I love how your presentation of these TVs go
But how much is this particular TV?
He said it at the beginning of the video, $30,000.
I paid 4k for an 83 inch oled. To jump that much in price for a 97 inch is lunacy
All TVs get exponentially higher priced as they get larger. For example, LG's 97" G2 is $23,997.
Great video ❤❤
Could this be a projector replacer
Does the remote have a backlight?
Perfect video
Wireless...No thanks. I will stick with a system that takes HDMI cables direct to the screen.
Make no mistake, Jen is a plus to all of these videos.
i have a 55 inch LG tv, İt looks huge. i can't imagine how 97" is.
some random dude: bet you cant trick people to buy a tv that cost as much as a car
LG apparently: hold my beer
Nice video. I just bought my biggest TV ever...................its 43 inches, but half the weight of my old 37 inch one . I'll get me coat !
That's Nice 💯👍🏾
Sighhh $30K 🙁 waiting for the days when 100” OLEDs are in $5K range. I have faith in Hisense or TCL to make it happen 🙌🏻
100" in oled for $5k, that sounds impossible my friend, you're gonna run out of time before that happens
Invest in XRP now... and 30K for a TV will be nothing by 2030
Hisense already had their 100’’ mini led tv on sale for $3000 during Black Friday. Dirt cheap.
@@fatredditmod - yeah that damn thing sold out within minutes and haven't been available since :/ Plus I am waiting for someone to do a direct comparison of it with TCL's S5 98".
@@du3lcitiz3ndude wth thats 6YEARS from now tho smfh
Is this really worth it over the 97” g2?
Absolutely not
30k for 800 nits
LG's new 2023 97" M3 is $6,000. higher priced than the 2022 97" G2, which is now on sale for $23,997. Peak luminance is moderately higher on the M3 and you get LG's new a9 Gen 6 processor and the M3 has the Wireless Zero Connect Box. Peak luminance is about 1,400 Lumens with the normal 10% window size.
$30,000 dollars and it looks like a $2k Hisense
😅
Good show
Nice TV and install. Not a fan of the wireless box though.
How much electricity it calumet in watt
Kurt Russel now owns a 97 inch OLED
In 5 years that tv will be the new standard & cost 1/4th.
Nice presentation, where r u from ?
15:49 that connection drop when someone moves across is a serious turn off. I guess Lg will say don’t place it there but, what’s the point of a wireless connection anyway?
That looks amazing but ain't no way I would pay 30k for that bro hell the f no
the remote only comes with this 97 inch?
LG includes the same premium remote control with all of the new M3 OLED TVs, so the 77" and 83" M3 get the same remote.
@@valueelectronics9390 thank you. i thought this because on the BB website you only see the picture of the premium remote on the 97 inch. the other sizes show the regular magic remote.
