I’ve had this for a couple months now. Truly amazing. Coming from a 77” OLED. I wanted larger than 83” and smaller than 98”. This beauty is amazing. 90% to OLED blacks. Color reproduction is best in class. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. It’s gorgeous and so clear as well 😊
Nobody's on the fence about OLED being better than a led TV. Even some plasmas did better then mini led tvs. Don't listen to this guy and if you wanna go for size, just wait for oled to be bigger. Oh wait, there is none already out
@@alanclark9000 OLED is better in contrast ratio. Brightness ? XL95L is 3.5 x brighter on a 100% window than a A95L (750 vs 215 nits). Durability (burn in) ? Sony Mini LEDs are better. A LED won't auto dimm the picture either to "protect itself". So "better" is a strong word to use, so to quote you: "don't listen to this guy". Gorgeous TV. I'm very happy for him. Good job guys. The only thing I would have done different is a wall mount that comes out a lot more. Why❓ Cleaning and maybe if adding more cables is needed.
This video made me do another comparison of my 1,000 nit full window OLED laptop and my 2014 Sony IPS Edge-lit LED. I repeat IPS Edge-lit vs a reference level brightness OLED. I picked an OLED demo as always (Max Chambliss' comparison of the A95k, A90J, and X95k). The results make so little sense that I've asked a dozen people to compare the IPS and OLED. Since the comparisons are done during the day, they all think the IPS is OLED as there's no visible difference unless you really hunt for it in some scenes and still it won't tell you enough. In a pure dark room, the IPS cannot match the blacks of the OLED or come close at least not without bias lighting but I wouldn't say it was unwatchable or not high-end. The rest of the image was as punchy as the OLED coming alive to nearly the same level which is really impressive considering that the OLED has a massive contrast advantage and should punch more. I kept looking at the bright objects in the center of the screen and they looked identical. In not a pure dark room (evening or nighttime), the IPS is 98% of the OLED as blacks become inky on the Sony. During the day, the IPS is indistinguishable from the OLED as human eyes are unable to perceive contrast ratio in black especially with other colors! So the X95L is probably impossible to tell apart from Sony's reference monitor which also does 1,000 nits full window as Vincent Teoh showed. No one here would be able to tell the 2 apart in a bilnd test.
I agree that with a good IPS panel TV’s that are not of the OLED variety can be every bit as good for picture quality in a test where the TV’s being tested are not side by side and you can pick out the subtle differences between the two. I’m looking at a tv from Hisense that has an IPS panel capable of streaming at 144 kHz that is a full array mini-led that Hinsense and several reviewers have conservatively rated at a minimum of 600 nits of brightness with no blooming. Hisense and TCL are doing a great job with their mini-led TV’s as they try to increase their market share by giving consumers a very high quality tv at a price point that is considerably lower than the big three of Sony,Samsung, and LG. Those three manufacturers undoubtedly make some of the best televisions money can buy but there is a whole other market for people who want a high quality television without having to take out a second mortgage on their home. Thus enters the likes of Hisense and TCL. If money was taken out of the equation I might purchase a tv from one of the big three that the wealthy seem to be so enamoured with but I have other interests besides tv that I prefer to use my expendable income on so I can see myself buying a tv from a manufacturer that more closely matches my income. Hisense here I come.
Suggestion for owners, USE A Mount that pivots and swivels! Thtne you can pull it outwards to plug cables or rotate the screen. You will thank me later!
Man I wish you could get a top-line OLED or mini-LED in 98-100” already, at a price of $10K or less. It’s frustrating to not have that option for a home theater room.
The owner really did his homework to bring it all together. Mini led...check, apple tv interface...check, B the installer and another av guy. Bro just understands. Very satisfying video
So many people say the won’t use or don’t like using the plastic covers for the plugs and ports on the back. Everyone knows how dirty and dusty the back of a tv gets. TVs attract dust because of the static from the electronics and the covers stop the dust from creating problems with connections. Use the covers.
Just one preference issue...I'd go with the mount that pulls out. Just in case you have to switch out an HDMI cable or something, it's nice to just be able to pull the tv out a little, make your connections and then move it back. It may just out a little further from the wall but the functionality is paramount to saving an inch, imo anyway.

Mini led tv’s are great but view angles are a deal breaker for me.
It has been fixed tho. The Hisense U8k-the 75” or Samsung qn90C they are ADS-PRO premium panels. That look like VA but even more glossy n NO issue with viewing angle 😊
@@Yoga_Tv_buying I’ve gone to the store and watched Sony’s, Samsung’s, and Lg’s flagships and still not better than OLED or my 9 year old Panasonic plasma
Personally I don't see the point in buying an 85 inch television which costs a lot of money, so it's better to get a video projector instead and I could have an even bigger screen with the video projector sorry man you didn't get me not convinced.
The biggest TV box I can fit in my Jeep Liberty is a 55". That's why I has 4x 55" TV's.
