Our full review of the TCL 115-Inch QM8 just went live, make sure to check it out: ruclips.net/video/o2UB_pykYE4/видео.html
Can you review the micro led lg magnit
I once bought a tv from amazon and it came with white glove install which I was shocked. They came to my home unboxed, hooked up, explained remote, asked if I had any questions and took all the trash with them. AMAZING!!!!
Thank you DT. This was quite a blast. A TV raised and unboxed by the neigbourhood. It took a village. I look forward to the indepth review. Can you imagine it this was micro LED. Well, one day we will get there affordably. The good thing is my house has the room.
Hey everyone! As fun as this was, the review will be even better! What do you want to know? Shooting soon! P.S. Price is $20K for now, but we expect that will drop quite a bit in time.
How good the game mode is of course.
Looking forward to the review! I'm curious if it has some of the same issues as the 98" (seemingly all software problems thankfully).
Currently, the sticky picture settings between modes, video processing delay with sub-60Hz refresh rates, and color shift with RGB signal (PC connection, seemingly resolvable with the Tint slider) are holding it back a bit, but overall happy with the performance after some moderate tweaks.
How it compares to the upcoming Hisense 110UX!
Do you think this TV would be a good option for a church looking for large displays on the left and right side of their sanctuary?
Power draw and the heat coming off the set. I have a 75 inch QM8 and it heats up the whole area it hangs in. It is hanging on a wall but I have it swiveled out a good 14 inches with an ac vent blowing down right above it and the heat coming off the set it tremendous. Can only image what this beast will be putting off.
By the way, as an installer, I highly recommend when you pull the screen protector off, you pull upward from the bottom edge. Not that you need to start from the bottom, but if you pull downward or straight across, the screen protector leaves tiny little pieces that are a real pain to remove.
I was cringing when he was standing 3 feet away from the edge pulling with all his might horizontally... Major tipping hazard for one thing, and way too easy to rip the film as you mentioned
If "my dad can beat up your dad" was a TV.
Hahaha! That was a perfect analogy. :)
Haaaa! 😂
Classic dad joke 🥲
How is this historic? Linus tech had a 115" 5 months ago.
@@Bramblebush5948 Who tf cares about Linus and his team of woke and LGBTQ crew
I can't wait for this to hit $5,000 !!!
i would honestly buy it for half price @10k
@@AdamCate I think that might happen , sometime in the future .Maybe Black Friday 2025 !!!
I saw the 98 inch version of this tv selling for 5 grand that is a monster also.
Imma do the 98” that’s 2k. F it
My Samsung projector was $4000. So yeah, I'd spend 5K on this.
This is the easy day, the fun will start when you have to repack it to go back.
I can appreciate the size of this set, a friend has a 120" motorised projector screen
and your jaw drops as it descends from the ceiling and the curtains adjust to the ratio
that you wish to watch.
I have to make do with a 60" projector screen, but that is the maximum my room can take.
Enjoy this monster TV whilst you can
11:00 Imagine having at least three of those 115 inch screens side by side for flight simulator enthusiasts. :)
OMG! 😮
I think a lot of ppl that don't get motion sickness would suddenly be prone to motion sickness and the size would be utterly insane. Where would you even put such a setup? The only thing crazier is that video Linus recently did with setting up a GIANT projector set-up at his new building.
I think the tvs would be to big for a 3 screen setup.
Something like a VR headset might be a better option.
that's 305.8 diagonal inches of screen (48:9) or about 16,940 in^2 vs 5651 in^2 of the single tv
@@SpidermanandJeny, haha! I totally agree that having three or more of those TCL beasts would be insane, but also fun in a way if money were no object and space was not an issue. Still, one of those screens would be plenty for me.
Aside from gaming or flight simulator possibilities on steroids, they would be amazing for stockbrokers or day traders, etc. to track stocks and trends on massive screens. :)
Damn a TV you can ACTUALLY have on the floor and its Eye level while sitting on a couch.
Magnificent screen, Caleb and company. I am glad that you were able to safely unpack it without incident. I shall await your review.
Not going to lie I’m not a huge big screen tv guy but I would honestly get this and it doesn’t really need a tv stand cause of the legs
I think I am ok with the "smaller" 98 and 100 ones for 15 grand less
My 98 “ Sony is 10 months old … it list for 10 k
Today it’s selling for 7500.00
One thing, that I feel like some people forget, is that you really will want a large space to put this in (obviously) especially when considering heat. Something that big, that bright, in a small theater room would get toasty.
I nearly bought myself an 8k 88" display a few years ago... but when I went to a shop to view it in person, I felt like I got a suntan in 5 mins when standing a couple of feet away... and even though it was a cool day out, the shop had the aircon running, and it was uncomfortably warm from all the displays...
I ordered my 100 inch hisense today I cannot wait to get it tomorrow!
That's funny, and also sad for me.. I just bought the exact same one today and Best Buy can't get it to me till the 13th. That's going to be a rough wait. At least I got them to eat the delivery and setup charge.
@@WildBillRidesAgain yeah they just called me to tell me it's delayed a few days 😭 sad
I got the 100" Hisense from Best buy. Delivery was a joke. So have friends there Incase. They sent a guy and a girl. I had to help them get it in the house and I'm a tiny guy. They refused to carry it downstairs. They set it up on the floor in the living room and ran. I had to have 4 friends come carry it into the basement. Best buy sucks.
Wow! Just, Wow! Looks incredible! Great video as always 👍
Can’t help but notice that Aaron didn’t take his shoes off! 😂 My wife insists on that stuff to protect her carpets.
My living room can easily handle 115 inches, but that BestBuy price of $20K is a bit more than my budget will allow!
That TV is bigger than most studio apartments in NYC. lol
That thing is a beast. Now I want to see the video of you boxing it back up when you're done with the review!
lol!
Who’d wanna risk a Best Buy “unboxed” special deal on one of these beasts? Also included in the purchase price are the first 2 months of chiro and physiotherapy appointments.
So you think we wouldn't have noticed those SVS Ultra Evolutions you have? Can't wait for the review!
This monster will be the perfect nest for the Nakamichi Dragon to settle in! 😁
Now ur talking !!!
YES SIIIIIRRR!!!
Hi Mr. Denison, This TV is 😮silly crazy!!! I have two Xbox game consoles limited halo series. Having halo gaming will over whelm me and, I would need a mini movie room to accommodate this massive screen. Just seeing you unbox it lets me now that it will need to go on a wall😅!! I use to have that kind of space before I sold my home but man this is amazing and crazy 😜!! Can’t wait to see the rest of the review on this set. Please enjoy it.
William 😇
The opposing box openings protect it from coming open during shipment. Simply a stronger box.
Wow, instant thumbs up with you just standing next to the box. That is an enormous tv.
I attended CES in January and was amazed when I first saw this TV. 😲 I had to struggle to find a spot on the floor just to get a closer look. 😅 I absolutely loved it and plan to buy one when the price drops. 😊 Right now, I'm enjoying my Hisense 100" U76N and I love it! ❤📺
He meant Eugene belsky, he is producing the content running. It’s some of the highest quality hdr videos on RUclips. If you want to bring the best out of your tv this is the channels to watch. Along with Katy and Jacob schwarz
Caleb, when you return these TV's to the manufacturer (or shop) after testing, how do you deal with the now non-existent plastic that covered the screen when it was in it's box?
Just Bought a 2023 QM8 85” for $1399 on amazon!!
Thanks Caleb
I bought mine last summer for $2000 and I absolutely love it!
Looking forward to the SVS review!
I was wondering if anyone would mention the Ultra Evolution speakers!
i love now Caleb looks like a happy kid on Xmas eve ❤️
I have two of them for dual monitor productivity setup
Those are some nice SVS towers you got there!!
They are SO good!
Cant wait for the video
Love to see a compare against a high-end Sony projector
"My, that's a big one." That's all I got, that old movie quote.
The stand/legs are perfect. I wouldn't mount it. Makes me appreciate my 85-inch QM8.
Now we just need more mounts that support 1000x600 VESA size. Next model should come with a less glossy finish.
@ 115" the trade off is the magnification of any and all picture flaw... but sitting or standing 20 feet away, that's the test straight on and off angle.
Hahaha the synchronized hands on the hips. Like two dads admiring the lines of a well cut lawn😂
Be sure to keep that box in case you ever move! LOL! Don't think Home Depot. sales any tv boxes over 77inch😅
Dude wiped his hand off after the IT guy shook it 😂😂 6:22
Would love to see a review of the SVS speakers you got there. Been eyeing their new ultra evolution Titan or Pinnacle
5:49 "A couple of subwoofers in the back"
Nice! It would be interesting to see better speakers into regular TVs ...
This TV is more than 4x my TV in size. I'm rocking a 55" LG C9 OLED and it's already pretty big considering I watch it from about a body length away in my recliner.
Can't see myself ever getting something this big or expensive. With something that large even a short throw projector and its accompanying screen is better value and larger to boot. That said, a 100" OLED would be freakin' sweet.
This would never make it down my basement staircase... maybe when the screens are roll-up!
massive.. awesome TCL 115" dream tv... never had a dream tv like that b4..😢 any flat😢😢😢
I love it Yes indeed
How much is it
And when will it be released for the public WOW it's amazing Size 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Congrats on the TV, Caleb. I’d have been so nervous unboxing it.
I like this new content it raw and real. Love the TV
Would love this for the new media room... I just see it being way too pricey. Even the 98" TV's available are mostly ridiculously priced.
That TCL is the same size as the number of the house which my late parents bequeathed to me! ... 115 Chequers Avenue.
115 Chequers Avenue contains a "tiny" 65" LG OLED, with matching LG Direct Drive Washing Machine.
I've not moved into 115 Chequers Avenue yet, and here in my apartment, I have a 50" Hisense ULED, and matching Hisense Washing Machine.
I thought my 85" TV was big, wow 115 now that's something I like to have 🤘
Extra ordinary...huge massive permanent solution of cinema in your home.
Caleb’s presentations never disappoint. Regardless of the subject.
Mine is still bigger. 115” is still small for the projector crowd but it’s nice that the TV guys will finally get a taste of something a bit bigger. When they stop measuring diagonally you’ll know you’ve finally ‘made it’.
Majority of projector owners do around 120”
120” is good. One on my screens is 120”. But most modern projectors can do 120” in their sleep. I’d try to max your wall. If you want a ‘cinematic’ experience you need to get to 50 degrees (FOV). That would mean you would need to sit within 9 ft for this TV. But that calculation gets crazy as you sit further away. If you’re sitting, say, 13 ft away you’d need a 165” (diagonal). Doubt we’ll have 165” TVs anytime soon.
@@sage11x most modern projectors do 120” yes but remember is not about what they can do but how much light they can emit. In a 3-5k region 120” is reasonable max otherwise picture will be dimmer. Besides all those will give you max 200 nits - which is fine in the dark but far cry from what tv can do especially this 5k nits monster. You want proper hdr - you get this and sit within 10-12 feet from it
The feet is different from the Best Buy website why is that?
When a wall with surround sound surpasses theater experience. Wow. Companies such as AMC will be a block buster empty rooms
I would completely rearange my living room/home theater for this beast.
The biggest argument against these things is how ABSOLUTELY OBSCENELY HUGE they are. Once they're up there, sure, great experience but... I installed my 120 inch screen solo. I plonked down the nice Epson UST projector on a bench, and then mounted the CLR screen. I coulda used another pair of hands but I did it myself... and if the projector fails, I can package it and carry it out - also myself.
I am in love! I might have to sell a lot of stuff but I think it’ll be worth it. My friends think my 85 inch Sony Bravia is big. And I love that TV.
Linus from LTT bought this same TV direct from China before the NA release and paid like 7 grand for it.
Wooow i cant believe 115 inch TV is Real I Need This TV for GTA-6 💯🎮😊❤
A few months ago, I bought the 98 inch Samsung. At that time, that was the largest television. The first two had major issues and each time Best Buy delivered it, but did not set them up for me. I had to return two of them. Can you imagine the logistics of that? I had to recycle so much cardboard and yes, I recycled the styrofoam too in Ann Arbor Michigan. The third one finally worked. I did not mount it on the wall, but I bought it very large stand for it. It weighs so much. I had to call in several of my friends to help me lift it not once, not twice, but three times due to all the returns. The first time the screen was completely destroyed when it arrived. The second time one of the HDMI ports was not working and Samsung could not fix it. I spent $5000 and Best Buy did not offer to install it for me. The picture quality is amazing. But the implementation is a nightmare. I would never want to do again. This is the last large TV I’m ever going to buy. I think we are quickly approaching the days of short throw projectors with large screens with great picture quality.
Sony had a 98 inch TV out in early August of last year.
I bought the 98 and my wife made me get the 85. It looks tiny our wall and my t levels dropped. This would’ve been a dream.
Looking forward to the full review man that’s one beast of a TV
2 things.
1) what are you using as a source for the display?
2) how do you fix something like this if the T-con or other part goes out?
Thanks...
Ok I don’t think I could have had a better presentation of this TCL 115”!! Sir I think I’m in your debt 😂!!!
You have sold me my friend
-Your New Fan
Massive. Wish I had the room. You recently reviewed the TCL QM85. Do you believe it's a better unit than the Samsung QN90CD?
WOW! I love this presentation. Peter was funny about taking the TV Home. I am interested in having this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Do the legs come with it?
At what distance from the screen would you most enjoy watching movies on a TV like this? Is a 2.5-meter distance too close for such a large screen?
9:52 TCL seems to have knocked another amazing TV out the park. :)
Fantastic review.
What is the model of the SVS in the background?
Any chance to put a 65” tv in front of it just for scale? A lot of people have 65” TVs and that will show the true size.
Off topic,I see that you have Svs Elevation speakers.Which model and when can we expect a review? If you are going to do 1?
That TV is absolutely sick
Just so insanely huge. I mean it's great for a not massive theater room because a TV is going to do things that can be hard for a projector to do.
Handles are brilliant!
I almost got divorced, f’ing around with a tv 40% smaller than this.
Hey Caleb, you mention the 'optional' legs. Do you know where / how to get the larger legs? I can find them anywhere online and even reached out to TCL but only get a basic customer support rep that doesn't know anything about them.
wow...I already have an 86 inch TV...and it's big, but this...? crazy
I really really hope TCL uses more reliable power supplies in this model than their typical models.
What do you do if there is a problem after a while with the warranty?and shipping?
Best protective package ever saw for TV
This is the magic. Would buy this 1000x over instead of a projector.
Can’t wait for a 500’ smart tv.
What about the image quality of 720p videos upscaled to its 4K screen size???
I just bought the 85". I was sad I couldn't afford the 100" now there's a 115" w.o.w.
I can't see the link to Erins channel. you could have probably given him a plug as well.
Panasonic had a152-Inch Full HD 3D Plasma Display. Which had a 4k by 2k resolution. That was in 2010 so I don't know about Largest/Biggest tv tagline shown in preview of this video.
@@GordonJones88what does his thumbnail say? don't make it look like a price issue when the original argument was about inaccurate statement made about the biggest TV ever.
That was a 1 of a kind prototype model.
It was never released to the consumer.
@@NextNate03 More then one was made. Detailed videos of one being installed are still on RUclips as well as a bar that bought one as well as I'm sure many whom had the money to pony up that don't want or care for that coverage. Panasonic still hosts the user manual for this TV which must mean they sold enough to post this to this day.
Would you advertise it on Bring A Trailer when it comes time to upgrade to 117 inch?
Awesome! You got a box for lions and tigers now!
This is absolutely crazy. I'll put this in my cinema room instead of a projector.
They are hopefully releasing a 136inch and 163 inch tv in the near future,
The biggest issue with this TV is that TCL crammed so many dimming zones (192 x 108), they struggle to keep up with the image, the back light delay is noticeable in scenes with any fast moving object.
I love those speakers, what are they?
How good is the sound?
Looking for that 85inch Bravia 9 review brother!
Bravia 9 Review?????
I'm buying the TV, period!
I want to know when the review coming out for them svs ultras you have in the thumbnail
Somewhere Linus is going, "Well, that looked easier..."
