Hi, we tried the dish today! Seriously is easy, fast and yet delicious! Thanks so much for always giving us ideas and help solve our everyday headache of what to cook. May i know where u purchase your beef- looks good in video. 🤗
Yippee! So happy to know you enjoyed this recipe. We got the beef frozen from our neighbourhood supermarket. We used frozen beef slices to be used in shabu shabu or sukiyaki. Hope this helps.
Whenever I stop by Japanese cafe I always bought these... now I'm crazing for it omg
There are no asian grocery stores where I live so I used thin sliced ribeye for philly cheesesteaks, and chicken stock instead of dashi. It was pretty good! I'm sure it would be better if I had all the right ingredients but still a nice departure from the norm. Thanks for the tutorial!
I made this few times already, this recipe never failed me 👍
Thank you so much for using our recipe. Glad to know that you like it 🤓🤓🤓
Oohlala! This recipe took me back to Yoshinoya and satisfied my cravings! And I can't believe how easy it is to cook the dish. :)

Delicious 🤤
This is nice. Looks the same as yoshinoya’s.
Cool
Yummmm...Thanks for the lovely recipe. Can you also show us how you poached your eggs?
My poached eggs always leaves egg residue stuck to the pot that is so hard to wash out. How do we prevent this? Thanks.
Hi do show how you poach or cook the soft boil eggs so we can also cook it for this dish. thanks
The beef no need to cook so long,,
And no need water thats batter,,, the test is delicious,,, soft and yummy 😊any way u are the master cook good cooking, slm from Hongkong,
Thank you very much.
Thanks for this, I like that you cook the onions and beef together before adding most of the liquid.. great job!
Hello can you let me know what meat cuts you use for bbq Japanese bowls I am recently shopping at my local Japanese market I love the thin cut meats but I need to know which Meats to use for like bowls or bbq meats thank you
can we subtitute the mirin with rice vinegar?
Very good 👍
Thank you so much, Let Go 🙏🙏🙏
Is Kikkoman the "japanese soy sauce"? I'm from the Philippines and we have oir soy sauce and Kikkoman is another one we usually use for Japanese dishes here :) Thank you!
This looks amazing, but would it taste different if I were to omit the mirin?
Tried this though I didn't use Japanese soya sauce. Thought the dish tasted quite one dimensional and needs to be sweeter to taste more like Yoshinoya's.
Mmmmmmmm..... That taste soooo goood but i don't really like beef!! That taste soooo delicious and amazing dish!! Great recipe!! See u anutime!!
Thank you so much, Kenny Rogers. You’re my favourite restaurant!
Spice N' Pans You are very welcome!! Have a great day too!!
Sorry i want to ask, if i use 500 gram slice beef. It would be 5 tablespoon soy sauce and 4 tablespoon mirin and 400 ml dashi?
This looks delicious and I'm going to be cooking soon, this is a perfect Japanese dinner to cook for my family.👍❤
Hi, great videos. I tried to follow the video with the following differences: 1. self-made dashi with bonito flakes and no seaweed 2. thin slides of ribeyes. 3. Added sugar. It tasted like boiled beef with a minor salted and sweet taste. I am missing the very sweet taste - may be sweet onion taste? What did I do wrong? Thanks. B.
Did you add mirin
Can i use teriyaki sauce for this ?
Thank u 4 the recipe Roland, already recook but skip the sugar 😂
Hope you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for using our recipe
Sounds like Chinese Malaysian. Are you Malaysia? You sound very Malaysian. I a Malaysian too.
I think he's a Singaporean.
Can I find sliced beef in usual grocery stores
Hihi. These are sukiyaki beef - beef cut thinly mainly used for sukiyaki. We can easily get that from supermarket in Singapore. Not sure if you can get it from your local supermarket though.
Thank you!😊
Am I able to change from beef to pork with the same recipe?
do i need to boil the beef first if I use sukiyaki?
Hi i dont have acces to mirin and daishi stock. Is there anything that i can substitute with?
You can use white rice wine and add some sugar to replace mirin. As for stock, you can use chicken stock. Happy cooking
Hay how many water and dashi powder that used if I use powder dashi stock? Thx
Can I use miso soup broth instead of dashi?
can i use this for beef strips too?
Is there anything we can replace the dashi stock with? I'm allergic to fish
Hmm how about just normal chicken stock. That will do. Happy cooking!
Spice N' Pans Thank you soooooo much ❤
Thank you I was tried to figure out what that sauce is and what I can replace it with
Can replace mirin? Suggest pls
아리가토!arigato!
You’re most welcome 👍🏻👍🏻
Cant have sea food so what should I sub for that soup broth.
What type of beef do you use for this ?
Is this yakiniku type one?
Kinnikuman brought me here.
What if you don't have dashi?
Hi Krizie. If you don’t have dashi stock, you can use normal chicken stock. So sorry for our late response 🙏🙏🙏🙏 happy cooking!
@@spicenpans
Thanks so much for the reply! ^_^
can u use normal drinking sake?
Hi Hui ting, so sorry for our late reply. Yes, we used normal drinking sake for this dish. Happy cooking!
can we use normal drinking sake or cooking sake
Hi Hui ting, we used drinking sake to cook this dish. If you can get cooking sake, that'd be great too.
where did it even say to add sake, I missed that and wonder how much else I missed. Wish it were a written recipe.
Which Japanese light soya sauce, I saw a few different kind,
Maybe he is talking about Tamari
hello! does anyone know what type of beef they’re using? thanks in advance :)
Sukiyaki cut beef
What cut of beef is this?
Wow Bulgogi
May I know where to buy dashi stock? I'm from Singapore too. 😁
You can get it from NTUC under the Japanese food section. Happy cooking!
what if no mirin is that ok
wat beef to use
What can I use as substitute for Dashi stock? We can't buy it here. 💔
Bonito flake or bonito powder
Hi brother, I think you should cook beef first and then add onions😜
who came here bcs of quarantine say I
Pls..what is dashi stock?
Its made from boiling kombu and bonito flakes together.
where can I get dashi stock
Hi Hui Ting, are you from Singapore? If yes, you should be able to get it from supermarkets and Lazada (redmart). Here's a link i found of the product: www.lazada.sg/products/ajinomoto-hon-dashi-i304012444-s538122605.html?spm=a2o42.searchlist.list.10.7b5c7ab7WPyhSQ&search=1

Sugar 🤮🤮🤮
This is so wrong. Gyudon is not fried. It's boiled beef. This may be a tasty dish but it is not the real thing.
Hi James. This is a simplified recipe. Hope this explains.
