Saved beef - 200g
Onion - 1
Dashi - 200ml (Water + Dashi powder)
Sake - 2tbsp (White wine)
Sugar - 2tbsp
Soy sauce - 3tbsp
Rice - 2cups
Water - 2cups
Red picled ginger

Followed all the measurements and must say, my husband loves it alot! This is actually his favorite food and when I told him I am making this for him. The times that I was in Japan I lived on this stuff at the Gyudon shops Moe mentioned. Very tasty and usually pretty cheap too. I used to go to a place in Yokosuka that served hot and tasty bowls of Gyudon for less than $5.00. It was a lifesaver considering it was very cold at the time. Very fond memories of eating in that shop.
