Aaron (or maybe just me) needs a shirt that has all his quotes. "I'm not responsible" / "More green onions..." / "This will make you look good in front of your spouse" / "You know...you know..." / "I know what you have in your fridge" / "대박!!!!!" and "맛이겠다!" (because we need Claire in there). That last part rhymed lol
You remembered so many lines! 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you as always! 😆🙏
"Don't worry about it." 😁
He truly is an inspiration, isn't he? =)
@@AaronandClaire do some merch.
@@TheRainbowDragoness That one's my favorite! 😁
HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT I'M THINKING?! I used to live in Japan directly behind a Yoshinoya and was just missing it intensely. Thank you 😭
🤣🤣Wow, so glad I could help! Hope you try it soon and please let us know if you can~! 😍
Aaron is an amazing cook, Claire is always so so cute and funny, but can we take a minute to also appreciate whoever does the editing for these videos? Because it's really really great.
Probably just them. They're that good.
I sometimes wonder what is Claire's workout routine, given how much food Aaron cooks for her to try.
Relationship goals 💖
lol her work out routine is washing all the dishes after XD
asian genres
We don't know where Claire IS when Aaron calls! Maybe she's outside and has to run up a bunch of stairs? i just thought of that.
You can tell as you rarely see her in these videos 😂
thank you Aaron! I'm eating so much healthier because of you. I was depressed and ordering food a lot and your videos helped inspire me to cook for myself. youre the best!
Claire: noises.
Me: SQUEEEEEE!!! 😂
I love you both, but Claire's "mmmm MMMMMM!!! ooooh MMMMMM!!!!" gets me every time. 😂 Best taste tester ever.
Thanks!!! 😘😘😘😁
I know right? Claire is so cute and genuine when she's doing the taste test!
would love to see a video with Claire doing cooking and Aaron tasting it, it would be fun and interesting to see :-D
Aaron is also not responsible for making me cheat on my diet I guess😅
Yes, he doesn't want to be responsible for anything! 🤣🤣🤣 -From Claire😋
@@AaronandClaire If only we could all eat and still look like Claire!❤❤❤
If it’s homemade, don’t worry about it!
Claire: I'm pregnant.
Aaron: I'm not responsible.
I dont know why I love her "yum" and "humm" so much, but I do!
Love this channel! :D
It's usually Aaron who boosts my mood with his optimism, but this time Claire was in such high spirits that I couldn't resist being hyped with her @u@
Yay!!! Thank you for watching! 🤗😍
All I can do is be happy for her when I'm sitting over here starving lol
did you just have a stroke? lol
I used to eat Korean food here in Canada often, but it's been a few years since I've really enjoyed it. I like looking at your recipes and preparing dinner. It's very helpful and reminds me of old meals. Thanks.
This is why I love this channel. Making restaurant/authentic dishes at home with lots of alternatives for the home cook. That soft egg method is amazing. I love soft eggs!
If you’re on the fence about making this, you need to make this right now. Made this a few times for myself and family and it’s absolutely amazing, my only regret is not doing this sooner.
thanks for the comment!
*Surprised you know Yoshinoya. Of course it is popular😁 we can enjoy Japanese style gyudon in Korea. Thank you!*
I just dont know why this channel hasn't hit 1M yet!!! He is amazing!!!💖💜
Thank you for helping people who are stuck at home and are on extreme budget.
It's so nice to see Claire waving at the end!! I will definitely try this recipe, especially how you made the eggs!!💚👍
For lazy people like me, these quick and easy recipes are the best! They also look very delicious, I can't wait to try it
Not bad! I also add 1 tbsp of sake. At the end I sprinkle sansho (japanese pepper) on top. Gives a delicious smell and flavor.
I just love how enthusiastic Aaron always is.. xD Claires lucky with all the food.. im jelly.
Claire makes these videos so much better.
Come for the Recipes and Hacks, Stay for the Joy that is Claire!
Thank you for watching! 🙌😉
Hi Aaron and Claire, thanks for the Gyudon recipe,, I ate this every day for 6 months when in S.E .Asia. 20 years ago .I have missed so much..............without a doubt, the best “fast food “, in the world.
I was thinking earlier today if you two were going to release a video and here you both are! I am happy! ❤
Yes! Every Wednesday or Thursday! Thank you for waiting! 🤗
Great recipe! Added some portabella mushrooms, sake, and katsuboshi sauce. It's fantastic.
Aaron and Claire! You're killin' me here! hahaha
😆😆😆🤣
Love the look of that onsen egg.
Very nice! I'll be following this recipe tomorrow night. I'm fortunate to have an Asian market nearby that sells hondashi and pickled ginger. Both can be found in resealable small jars as well.
This is the most simple and tasty Guydon recipe period!
Thank you for the excellent recipes Aaron and Claire. 🙂 If you achieve 1 million subscribers you should do a special video where Claire cooks and Aaron eats.
I finally got around to fixing this. The flavor was spot on, just like I remembered except more flavourful. My wife, who generally doesn't like red meat or lots of onions loved it! Thanks so much. This is a winner.
Claire has to try all kinds of things, but today I think she got something premium! All those ingredients are easily available in my small town, this looks surprisingly nice for simple home cooking. It looks like something anyone would like!
I was set on skipping the pickled ginger until I heard Claire's reaction... She convinced me! I need to practice for my future wife!
Love this recipe ❤. Reminds me of the gyudon I used to buy from Sukiya on Friday evenings
Claire was so impressed LOL so cute!!
Claire, I love how you refer to the ingredients by their Japanese names, like 베니쇼가 and 온샌 egg. Aaron, where is her beer?
i really like his confidence.
and thanks for the recipe
I've made this before! It's surprisingly easy!
OMG Aaron! Making us miss our home countries! Hi Claire! Love you both!
🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for another easy recipe that saves me money! Claire, your hair is always so beautiful! What hair products do you use?! Please share!
Claire is my spirit animal about food!!! Her joy whit this dish makew me want to make it for my husband!
Thanks Aaron and Claire. Regards from Australia
With Food Price Inflation rising in the U.S. and the E.U. your cheap and tasty recipies are a just in time blessing for many of us. Thank you Aaron and Claire !
Made it, and LOVED IT. Yes sirrrrrrr. Great presentation, great video.
Yay! So happy for you~! Thank you for sharing! 😁👍
Great video. I would recommend two things though: First, if you cannot find thin sliced beef at the supermarket in the United States, go to one with a butcher. Ask for Sukiyaki (すき焼き) beef or shabu shabu (しゃぶしゃぶ) beef, extra thin sliced. Bulgogi (불고기) beef found at Korean markets tend to be thicker and are usually of cheaper cuts or frozen imported Hanwoo (한우). Second, I would recommend that you use a sweet Japanese rice. Typically a sweeter Japanese rice works great for this dish. I would recommend Hitomebore (一目惚れ) rice or Koshihikari (越光) rice. Korean rice tends to be a bit fluffy for this dish. I love Korean rice for Kimchi fried rice (김지볶음밥), as it absorbs liquid well, but that isn't really what you want with Gyudon. Awesome vid!
This recipe is a huge hit in our household. My wife always says "yes" whenever I ask if she wants gyudon. This was the first recipe of yours that I tried, and we have loved them since. Also love your cookbook! Great stuff!
Awesome to hear it, guys. Thanks for stopping by and sharing that with us! 😁
Aarons always trying to make our Instagram more interesting. Thanks
Thank you both. best cooking show on RUclips.
Just made this recipe! Super easy. Didn't have dashi. It was kinda expensive here in Oklahoma but it's worth it. Fast and delicious!
Claire is always my favorite part! She loves your cooking, Aaron! The dynamic duo!
Another winner, thank you, Aaron & Clair. I will add this dish to my list of things to try before I get a year older. Thank's for sharing & stay safe.
Beautiful looking dish and I like your egg tips. Thank you for cooking great dishes.
i'm definitely making this soon!!! wow, i didnt even realize how much i wanted gyudon until i saw how delicious this looks!!!!
Looks delicious! Claire is so adorable; she makes me smile.
Great recipe. Mine was a success thanks in no small part to your excellent step-by-step. Gyudy Up!
1:43 My favorite part was your acknowledgement of your obsession.....and the "let's move on" was the perfect response. :D
I have never heard of this dish that I remember, but I will definitely be attempting it!
Haha You should try it sometime! 😊🙌
Man. Aaron and Claire, you got me again. Such a great combo of teacher and food critic. You know it has to be good when Claire keeps describing the taste and then how to improve it!
I make Gyudon on a weekly basis. It even reheats well! I use outside skirt steak and slice it myself. So delicious!
The yolk egg look like a heart! ❤
Thank you Randal Park. Looks delish
yes, you're good .. thanks
Aaron! You give me hope lol I'm so scared of cooking and ruining recipes, but your instructions are always clear and encouraging! Kamsahamnida!
Your sassiness is much appreciated!!
Been trying to make gyudon for a while with store made sauces and it was never quite right. Made this tonight and my wife and I loved it, thanks Aaron!
Claire said everything that I wanted to say it's looks AMAZING and I knw it will taste Amazing toooo❤❤❤❤
Just made this, and it made my day! Thank you very much!
My pleasure! So glad to hear it!
Omg just bought a bunch of hondashi on Amazon and it shows up tomorrow! This is exactly what I need! Thank you!!!
Love this!
Can I put the beef sauce in the fridge and reheat it the next day if I'm cooking for one?
I have dashi that you use like a tea bag....5 min in boiling water. I got it from amazon it is AMAZING.
Wow 🤩 I love this recipe, yummy 🤤 delicious 😋 thank you 🙏
Hello from Belgium.
Tested today , I trully love it !!!

Waving to Claire at the end of every video!!!!
that red ginger with rice is so delicious. it's one of my fave parts of bentos!
Wow you’re such a fantastic cook, thankful for explaining everything in detail and also telling us substitutes for ingredients. That looks so delicious 😍😍😍
Thank you Aaron and Claire. Another great video!
My pleasure! Thank you for watching! 😊

0:30 ♥️ the egg even made a heart 😯

I’ve been on lockdown for near 2 months straight now. I love u guys and hate u guys at the same time.
That way to cook egg had me shook! Gonna have to try it 👀
Hope you like them! 😁
Oh Yum! Will you guys do an AMA at some stage with your superfans? 😃
Can't wait to try 😆
Beef lovers attention ⚠️
🤤🤤🤤
Hey there thank you for the recipes, I love them so much and you're a lifesaver since I moved to an area where no restaurants serve this delicious food!
I have a weird question though, my fiance is allergic to onions so I have to make it without, how would you adjust the sauce to make up for the lost sweetness? It's still delicious with with the normal measurements, but I want to see how much better it could be. He doesn't get a reaction from onion powder if that can be used as a suitable replacement
when i was an exchange student in taipei for a year i ate yoshinoya every single week and its definitely one of the things i miss the most!! thank you for this, im definitely gonna have to try making it myself
I can’t wait to try this recipe. I think the fish flakes will give it a well rounded umami flavor. I will have to find them at a Korean grocery. I like the techniques you share with every recipe. You can use them in other dishes. Thanks Aaron and Claire!
Claire dissecting all of the flavor combos lolll. 😂 I think the pickled ginger is necessary too!
I’ve always wanted to make this, thank you
I think both of you guys look Look good and I agree with Aaron about the shirt because I love your sayings I’m not responsible more green onions and I think that’s a good idea.
LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. Thanks A&C
Thank you for enjoying our channel! Love you, more! 🤗😘
Thanks Aaron, you and Claire are funny. Made this last night, my family enjoyed it a lot 👍
Everything is better when Aaron makes it! Just ask Claire. 😉
