Frank singing Nickelback like we wouldn’t figure out he’s secretly an amazing singer!!
Frank, I don't know if we tell you this enough..
But your camera work is godly, we see it.
🙏🏻
the Rode and Elgato ones for sure the best out of those 4
Agree 100%
Yea. I also think the Hyper X is also good but sinc you can get somting better fo the price... and the Nzxt is the worst.
Ye but if u wear headphones you can hear the breathing
I think the Rode is the best and the HyperX is probably second.
I'll be looking for a mic for streaming somewhere down the line and this review was just perfect timing. Thanks RFP!
Wow your camera work is amazing and your videos are so soothing and calming in a way. Love them keep up the great work 10/10
I'm honestly pretty hyped about this mic. I have a blue yeti for about half a year now and I'm starting to get trouble with the cable so the USB-C port on this mic is definetly going to change the market
Did you cover some options with XLR kabel connection as well?
Always great videos, keep it up!
Love the content!
Good work as usual. Also shoutout to Frank for....
being it Joker's comments. I lol... looking forward to "next week".
gr8 vid man just what i needed to see if i shud get it
I’ve been looking for a new mic thanks for the recommendation
Frank, I inspire to do my scripts in one take like you. or at least get a teleprompter lol love your work brother
what I got from this review is that the Wave sounds the best
Perfect honest review.. perfect comparison, thank you!
I think hyperx sounded really good, however there was randoms pops. I wonder if it is damaged or at its defaults state and should be expected.
That elgato is just superb. Damn!
Will Frank be reviewing the Roccat Torch? Because it's one I've been looking at and I'm curious at the quality for $100 vs the rest of these.
Man, the quality is always good, but NZXT always crushes it on the clean designs
nzxt designs are clean
Bro this video had me dying when the Nickelback lyrics started..
I really like the performance of pop-/noise-filtering by the NZXT - especially compared with HyperX.
But I am seriously impressed by the sound of elgato wave. I NEVER expected it to beat the first two (in my subjective flavouring).
If I'd need to pick one up, it 100% would be one of the last two.
(Btw HyperX, if you're reading this: stop slacking folks. I am still waiting for a worthy successor for my first white Cloud Headset. No 7.1blabla, no cranky mic.. just pure headphone plus good mic. Analog please. And WHITE)
It's looks awesome ! Comparison with Blue Yeti X then which is better?
Nice vid! Wish this came out couple of months ago because the white one would've fit my build so well! I think the wave 3 would be a better comparison since the rode was $20 less and the wave 3 being $20 more with damn near the same features. P.D. Also I'm not sure why, but right now it's cheaper to buy the wave 3 than the wave 1 in amazon 😎👌
thanks for the video man. i just ordered one of these and I just wanted to know what they sounded like.
Check out the Turn UP volume mixer. It's pretty high quality hardware and the software integration is really good to.
bro, was the hyper x clipping in the first test before the back to back? also the elgato and nzxt sound the most comparable. Objectively it seems like the NZXT is not as kind to the highmids a bit as the elgato, These all sound great though. Fantastic comparison. It would be nice to see a spectrum analyzer for real time freq response. But I'll just screen cap and throw into ableton to check myself. cheers
symm 2 review coming? Can’t decide if I want to buy it, keep waiting on the viper mini ultimate, or wait for the let down of not getting a final mouse starlight phantom
It looks quite cool, like a quadcast but less "gamer".
minimalist edition
Solo cast but more expensive
@@ok-js3tp you got a point there
@@ok-js3tp just looked up the solo cast its cool but this is way cleaner
Looks so clean !
why does the hyperx quadcast s cut in the sound? is it your softwear thru youtube or does it just do it gerarlly
I thought you had mixed up "condenser" and "capsule" but it's just the name. I can't see on the product page whether it's a condenser or not
I personally prefer the Wave because the software mixing. My favorite MIcrophone I purchased in a long time.
Man, the Nzxt looks so damn good. I cannot tell if thats my best option though.
It is a pristinely clean design, but for maximum noise blockage people should be looking at dynamic mics (like the entry Samson). They all sound super sexy though
G'day from Australia RandomFrankP!!!
I love my Wave 3, but if I had to choose another; I would be going with the Rode mic. NZXT putting the USB-C on the bottom is a terrible design. You can see the input bent at an angle when it's plugged in. Wave is an infinite rotary, but at least it has lights to tell you where you're at.
Can you make a video comparing this to an at-2020?
Damn, could you believe I just got the hyper x last week. I would’ve got this mic if I knew about, my entire setup is nzxt hardware
If it makes you feel any better, a lot of ppl are saying the hyper x one sounds better anyway, + with the quad cast you get a built in shock mount 😅
"I never knew we ever went without" makes sense. It means ya boy Chad Kroeger was not aware that his family was poor when he was growing up, because he had such good times regardless. How dare you disparage Nickelback?
Was looking for this.
why do you need a headphone jack to the mic? if i have a wireless headset can this mic still work for me?
Holy moly i was buying the Blue Yeti but can't decide again lol
Elgato Wave 1 and Rode NT sounds very good, or is just your voice Frank? damn xD
Cool features but the Hyper X and the El Gato sounds way better. The NZXT sounds tinny and distant.
I know there in different price ranges but wish you compared them with that razer mic you did some videos on a while back
I just like how it’s very minimal.
Nothing beats the wave link software if you stream, if you don’t, go with the rode mini !
looks very cool... wish I could buy it
What is this like fur thing you put in mic? And is it applicable to this mic in the video?
Would you recommend this to the wave line up?
When you were doing the mic test footage, it looks like the USB C cable head was bending while in the bottom of the mic. Do you think thats just poor port placement on NZXT's part? Compared to the HyperX, the Elgato, and the Rode with rear ports. Just an observation. Maybe a 90° cable would be a solution? Love all your vids my friend. You're the best.
Exactly my thought, very poor placement on nzxts part
1. Wave 1
2. Quadcast(though I can see the rode taking this)
3. Rode mic. (Quadcast can be here too)
4. Nzxt Mic.
They really all sound great. Definitely can't go wrong with either but the wave just sounds fuller.
how about the duocast? is it any better?
The hard stop is pretty essential.
So is the price....over $50 for a mic is already way too much.
@@gc4550 50$ might get you a microphone, but it's probably going to have issues lol
@@GloomySundae monoprice stage right usb and Samson go are great for under 50.
@@choppercove I disagree. It sounds pretty bad, razer should stick to the only thing they make that’s good, mice.
Nice review :)
can u do a review for fifine t669?
Is it good for singing or is it only gaming? Like acapella stuff
Love my quadcast
I have the Elgato Wave 3 and from your tests I like the HyperX mic the most.
I think the hyper x sounds the worst, it sounds glitchy
@@xoLucent possibly his side of things tbh, i got a quadcast S and it works fine
I'm a year late but honestly I think the Elgato Wave 1 is the best for the price, sound quality out of the box is probably the best out of the 4 imo, sounds the most natural. Also, when you take into consideration the software the Wave 1 has the other 3 beat by miles.
I got the NZXT mic for $80 used but damn that Elgato Wave sounds good
Where is the cable?
WHAT IS on Joey's head?
I like the looks and what it features, maybe for beginners looking to upgrade.
NZXT keeping it clean and neat!
can you mount any of these on an arm?
How does this mic compare to the Shure MV7?
can i hook it up to my NZXT AiO?
Wave comes with software simualr to a goxlr. That only i feel givrs the wave mic leg over every mic here.
Mic test at 3:45
What about the razer mic, is it better at 50$ ?
I have a maono au-pm422 and it's awesome
Up to 16 ohms “And odds are they’ll be able to power your cans just fine”
250 ohm gang “Yea… Sure…”
this looks super clean
Ayy, that looks really A E S T H E T I C , just like their cases
I wouldn’t be surprised if the microphone has a secret feature to explode, just like their cases can do.
I bought the product but I can't install it on my lapto
Great vid
I’m so confused if I get this do I need a head set? To talk with my friends!!!???
I felt like the wave sounded by far the best.
There expanding fast
Surprised you didn't include the Razer Seiren Mini
sounds weird . . . maybe needs catch more bass in the voice... but, meh... u make a big deal out of that nod with no stop
you should try the ne roccat mic
Bruh the Elgato one is literally perfect.
$110 "Budget Friendly", do you have any recommendations for mics closer to a $40 budget?
Snowball ice is your best option
Fifine 669b
Sodotack is perfect for that price range
A used or on sale Snowball Can reach 40, 50 at normal price.
wave 1 sounds the best tbh
I trust you with my life, family, and my technological prowess!!!
6:44 showing an HD800S cable 6.35 here i see
If you want something more you can buy condenser mic with xlr cable and audio interface separately.
My ranking system for mic quality:
Elgato Wave 1
Rode NT USB
NZXT
HyperX
i need a new mic so i was excited for this but honeslty for the price the audio quality is not that great
Cool mic sir!
It looks like a more sublty designed quadcast
Who is the OEM?
nvidia broadcast fixes the audio elimination
never changing from my trusty at2020+
If you turned the volume of the nzxt mic up it would sound like real life
3:45
nzxt with another simplistic yet durable product
Ayy franky boy again again again again .
Would this work on PS4?
To be honest in sound test Rode is #1 and Wave 1 is #2 the HyperX Quadcast doesn't have that much clarity and the NZXT Capsule sounds somewhere in between the Rode and Wave with the Quadcast
But can I put stuff in it
Pls do Razer basilisk v3
Hey Frank I have a Question:
So I have a Hyper X microphone, but I can't seem to make it sound the way I want it to.
I really want to make it sound like yours, so I was wondering if you could tell me what you do to make it sound like that?
I’d say a) make sure you have the correct polar pattern selected b) make sure you’re speaking into the correct side and have it at a decent distance from your mouth c) mess around with some audio settings in obs. Streams scheme and alpha gaming have some good videos about audio settings
@@SpaceLegends he said “Frank”
@@SinclairSan I mean ya but has frank answered?
Better to have novice help than no help at all I’d say 🤷🏽♀️
No surprise the Elgato and Rode sounded the best.
Not saying this sounds bad but I think the siren mini sounds better.
