- The @NZXTglobal Boom Mic arm is a great choice for anyone looking for a heavy duty mic arm. After using the Blue Compass for some time now I can safely say I would take the NZXT over it after only using it for a couple days. Add to that the new NZXT Capsule microphone and you have a great setup in terms of both aesthetics and performance. I'll have my review for the capsule up soon so check back for that.

Ayy first review on youtube, thanks for uploading this :)
Great review. Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks :)
Finally someone with the boom arm
Very nice review I’m gonna buy this
Sounds and looks amazing! Love it!
Thanks Nick!
Just fyi:
The Blue Compass has a screw next to the base connector pin you can use to loosen or tighten the arm. I have a small 500 grams pencil condenser attached to mine at the moment, and it holds it fine after adjusting the screw
Does the razer seiren mini work for this boom arm?
I have the Blue Compass already but I found that my current mic is too light and it just bounces up like you mentioned. Does the Nzxt Capsule work with the Blue Compass, or does it just bounce up like other lighter mics?
This won’t bounce up like the blue compass which is great because it will work for any light mic unlike that mic arm.
Hello, very good video, you have a new subscriber. I wanted to know if the NZXT arm has the same problem as the BLUE with lightweight microphones?
It didn’t :) the ROCCAT Torch is a light microphone, I should’ve mentioned that. So on the blue yeti it was popping up and it didn’t at all on this
Hello, I was going ask the same question but now I don't have to. Thanks.
Great video! I have been looking for a good quality boom arm. Do you think it would work well with a Blue Yeti Nano? Just wanna make sure before I order it! :)
definitely should unless there is a different kind of thread but most of them are universal
Do you think this is one of the best arms for the SM7B? Your vid is one of the only ones I can find using the Shure with the boom.
I prefer my Blue Compass for the Shure SM7B
at 6:57 you had the boom arm set up without a microphone and it stayed in place, was that only for a few seconds or can you actually have it set up either without a mic or with a very light mic and it still says in place thanks to the tension? i just purchased a blue compass today and had to return it because the tension would not hold my mic which is very light and barely held my 700g dslr in place! i’m interesting in buying this one as it was my second option but i really don’t want to get it just to find out that it has the same problem.
You should be able to adjust the tension springs to allow it to hold a light mic. It’s a fine balancing act with it from what I’ve noticed though but it holds lighter mics slightly better than the blue compass
I have the hyper x microphone. The red and black one. Will these mic arms support it? I have no clue if my question makes sense.
It’ll support it 👍🏻
@@1UpNerdcore I have the same one, how exactly would i set it up with that boom arm? because i don’t know if i should just buy the nzxt mic since i have no clue how to set it up with my mic lol
How do i place the front of te mic to myself. So that i can speak in the front
There’s a screw plate on the threading that the mic attaches to. Spine it to the right position and the that plate spins up to tighten it in place
Is it compatible with the Kingston HyperX QuadCast S mic? Thank you
It should be as that’ll have the standard threading
So, can you turn the mic around on the stand so the mic is above the arm
Yup 👍🏻
Is there a white version out? Or coming out in the future? Thanks!
Not that I know of sorry
@@1UpNerdcore That’s ok thanks for replying.
mine broke first day i got it now it doesnt hold up right
Sounds defective or like the tension springs were tightened to much and broke
@@1UpNerdcore Possibly, it still might help if they actually provided any information online apart from your video or provide instructions
there is soo much buzzing in your mic idk why that is connection that is lose, bad xlc to pc, bad settings, it is soo noticed from 0:00 to 6:22
Is there a shock mount that fits this mic ?
Any shock mount should work as it’ll come with an adapter for the threading needing to work with this
@@1UpNerdcore okay cheers!
does the Boom Arm come with a microphone
No
Does an Amazon boom arm work for this mic?
It should of not the adapter should work
does it work with any mouse? i use the CMTECK XM550
Im not sure what you’re asking, microphones aren’t tied to or affected by a computer mouse.
Dude I love your content but as a tech channel reviewing a mic you cannot be sounding like that in the intro
The capsule sounds better then whatever microphone your doing
I use the capsule mic for the voiceover work starting at 6:25 🤦🏽
@@1UpNerdcore yeah that’s what I’m saying
Hopefully it doesn't catch on fire..
😂😂😂
Bro your voice is sounding not so good, to much hall effect and a little bit wumm wummm in the background while speaking xD
It’s just the raw audio from the nzxt mic. I didn’t adjust in post so this is what it would sound like for game chat basically.
