Lovely video and such nice comments from the former owners. Stephanie, if possible, since it's going to be so hot if Kirstie can make sure the clematis have shade at their roots they'll survive and thrive much better. They like their 'feet' cool but tops in the sun. So planting basil or herbs or a perennial or annuals at the bases will make them very happy. 💕❤

I just love when during your vlog you give us form time to time some hint of beautiful ancient and sometimes forgotten knowledge, like the name of the roses « Pierre de Ronsard ». It is delightful. Thank you.
I loved hearing you speak French with the previous family members! It's such a beautiful language, and you make it sound even more so! (But thank goodness for subtitles haha) More, please!
What a great find this soap! I'm jealous! Those are the best kind of soaps, for a second I've panicked, cause I thought you will throw it away. I'm glad it stays!😁🥰
The gardens all look so lovely. I didn’t know there was a little pond. What a nice lunch you prepared for the previous owners. It must make them so happy to see how you are taking such good care of the chateau. Decluttering , such a good feeling. The hall looks great. Can you hang some artwork on the walls there? Thank you for another wonderful vlog Stephanie!
There are pesticides and mold/rot solutions made from soap and other household items to use on plants! Much better than chemicals, and there are many ideas and recipies online. Also, it looks great to use after working in the garden. Great find ... vintage soap! :)
So excited for another vlog 💓 💖 I just watched you guys in Venice and now you are home🌳 I introduced your vlogs to a stylish senior friend, who's husband was a chef from Bordeaux, when they met in Quebec, Canada and fell in love. What an enchanting life you have. Good for you for cleaning up and clearing away. Definitely keep the interesting pieces from your parents. They are worth something and not to be put in the garbage!
Stephanie you make my Day with the cleaning of that hall, I was always thinking why she still have that mess overthere, but that mirror you have to paint that. Love the reaction of Phillip with that soap. Over all Love everything.
I love soap that has dried out. It lasts so much longer than new soap. If you have a lot of minerals in your water, the dried soap will actually work better and last longer. I have soaps that are close to 30 years old. ❤ love the decluttering, the Chateau is looking so beautiful.

Thank you and may God Bless you Phillip and everyone at the Chateaux!!😀
Stephanie you are amazing! Cook, sew, garden, scrape paint, work the heavy equipment .design rooms ,charm guests and and sing. Chateau is a joy to watch in these hectic and historically difficult times.
Could Nick maybe weight down the root ball of that tree to keep it from uprooting and get a few more years of life out of it? With some artistically arranged boulders or something? Meanwhile a newly planted tree nearby could be getting some height established for shade when the damaged tree finally has to go. I know that might sound like a silly plan but I actually did that with a Japanese maple that was uprooting so much it was already starting to lean. We cabled it upright to another tree and packed soil around the root ball. The cable held it and here we are 15 years later and it’s beautiful and healthy!
Next time you go to Venice, take photos of your chandeliers and close-ups of the parts similar to any parts missing, and any glass factory in Murano will either find you the parts you need if they have them in stock or blow them to measure if they haven't.
Stephanie I’m glad that the soap did not get binned. I love that soap. You are doing a smashing job at getting rid of things. It’s really cathartic isn’t it? The hall looks spectacular! Sending sweet vibes from California💜😎🤟🏻🇺🇸
I loved the discussion about the soap :) I'm having this kind of discussion so often within my family and it's really fun seeing someone else also struggle with keeping too many things in the house. (Quite often because "we've got the space and its still good"). While I also don't like to waste things. I think keeping more stuff than you need, unorganized will only lead to more waste since you never know where it is or that you even have it. So love your tidying sessions and thanks for your videos.
Maybe get Dan to treat/paint the door to the greenhouse, even just a rough coat to protect it till you replace it ? And the door leading into the walled garden.
You are your artist father´s daughter! Making this still life out of the glass flowers with a petal that seems to have fallen from the orange one. I think you are an increedible spontanious creative person with your describing words and the things you make and let us see.

Steph, if Philip doesn’t want the soap, MORE FOR YOU! Good soap is like fine wine: the more it cure and ages, the better it gets. What I would do to get my hands on 20 year old Marseille soap! Must be divine to use!
I could not help thinking how beautiful the chateaux and the grounds will look by next year. With the forest and the garden all coming together nicely and more renos will be done by then. The trees round the Center piece will have grown and spread round . Stunning....x
Beautiful gardens, everything is coming on magnificently. Such a great feeling to clear out, love seeing you do this, now no where for people to dump things.
Cleaning everything up feels like finally the „moving in into the chateau“ comes to an end and the rooms become the some sort of „living in there“ feeling! Amazing!
I Love Venetian glass. What I saw of that Chandelier is incredible. I hope when you get it fixed up you will show it all lit up at night time.
Yes keep the Corridor clear too narrow to store things on shelves paint the walls and nice bright color
I love the green walls!
Either french blue or a 💚 green
Indeed
@@frangeorge5962 yes, maybe the green or the same colour as their shutters
You are your artist father´s daughter! Making this still life out of the glass flowers with a petal that seems to have fallen from the orange one. I think you are an increedible spontanious creative person with your describing words and the things you make and let us see.
It smells like an old part of my grandparent's attic! Ha! So funny, Phillip!
The gardens are beautiful!! The clearing out of the chateau is magnificent, Yes Chuck it out (lol). How wonderful to host family of the chateau. Enjoyed. Love to all ❤.
Ooo I love when a new upload just happens to line up with my lunch break 🤩
Steph, if Philip doesn’t want the soap, MORE FOR YOU! Good soap is like fine wine: the more it cure and ages, the better it gets. What I would do to get my hands on 20 year old Marseille soap! Must be divine to use!
I could not help thinking how beautiful the chateaux and the grounds will look by next year. With the forest and the garden all coming together nicely and more renos will be done by then. The trees round the Center piece will have grown and spread round . Stunning....x
The soap is good for doing laundry - just grate it and use it in the washing machine!
I hope
when you get it fixed up you will show it all lit up at night time. I think I know
what he was thinking about with a level of concern about that soap and wanting
to know where it was going to be used!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great video,
Thank you,
Jeff❤
