What an absolutely brilliant car. It deserves to be above all the SUVs and superminis on the Mazda webpage.
Thank you for your work. It's definitely on my shortlist for my trip around southern Europe next summer. This would be perfect for that!

    As a long time MX5 owner, I'd say that's a good review.
I had an NB from new for 3 years, upgraded to a new 2.0 NC (foldy electric roof) for a further 14 years (with zero faults), and in 2021 traded that for an ND2 2.0 which is my current car. I just love the MX5 experience of joy of driving at 'ordinary car' cost.
However, I'd differ on 3 points with your review:
    1) The folding hard roof is not metal - it's composite, for lightness. (Minor point). Keeps the CG lower.
    2) The ND2 steering wheel DOES adjust for reach as well as angle (mine certainly does!).
    3) This is more subjective, but after 14 years of NC ownership and then moving to the ND I did immediately notice that there was one thing where the NC was superior to the ND; the hydraulic steering rack compared to the ND's electric one. The ND's is very good, but it's not up there with the oh so communicative rack of the NC. It just doesn't have the clarity of feedback and is slightly 'dead' around the straight ahead position. There's not much in it, and the ND rack is very good, but the difference is noticeable.
    Vince C.

I’m pretty sure since 2019 the steering is reach adjustable.

A correction is needed here. Since 2019 the steering wheel is telescopic as well as up and down adjustment.

I'm not in the market for one, but I was enthralled by your review. Maybe I don't actually need 5 seats after all...

Vett y comprehensive report although you say there is no clutch foot rest , the photo of the footwell clearly shows one.

    Still a very desirable car…

One of the best. The very antithesis of bloated, boring electric SUVs.
