Great guide and tune! The Mazda RX vision has always been squirrely to me, this really tames it and it took 1.5 seconds off my best time, also just generally a lot easier to handle now, thanks!
After the server issues and 1.08 update my Mazda RX seems off, need to go back in and check today but felt like it was driving with default tuning, back end kept coming out like it did before this tune and seemed 1.5-2 seconds slower. :-(

Really good video. I’ve only ran this race once and that was in the Supra but I’ll give the Mazda a go. I used a tweaked version of your Celica tune as well so I’m really liking these tuning videos.
Your settings are great and works fine. But for the visitors of your videos would be fine if you explain the way you get this settings. Then we can use it for all of the cars we want to use. I think its a lot of trail an error. But maybe you can explain these trail and error process in specific Video. I hope this idea was okay for you. Best regards
Loving the tune great setup, I see most are using this the Audi and Hurrican, do you know of any others that are fairly decent I saw one guy running a corvette Gr3 and he did really well with it do you think that could be good?
I’m still struggling to get out of the low 47s with the Dualsense. I just can’t stop spinning the tires out of literally every corner; I usually have to use TCS 1 on any RWD car making decent power. Not sure what my deal is. Plus I can’t get into the chicane correctly to save my life.
Throttle control can be tricky on a controller. Try jabbing it on and off a bit to get a feel for what the car should be doing without spinning, then try to be smoother on throttle and replicate that behavior. Also, turn off the adaptive triggers if you haven't already. They provide no valuable feedback and just make braking and applying throttle harder, in my opinion.
Do you look at the performance markers on the left? Or focus more on the flat output line? It seems like not using an turbo makes it quicker off the line but with less max torque
I make the power band as wide as possible with no regard to what the game says the performance figures are. Those figures are based on quick simulations and calculations which are very flawed. I'll cover this in a video later this week
@@Harmonic14 yessir makes sense. Do you think it would be more interesting to have a max pp rating for these races instead of a max hp limit? Feel like people could tune their cars more specific to the tracks and focus on favoring handling over power or vice versa. Id imagine a flatter power band with a lower peak power would be favorable over a steep power band with a higher peak power if max speed isn’t much of a factor on a track without long straights and the lower peak power would buy you more pp to put towards handling and braking etc.
@@adf286 I don't like max PP because the tune affects it, and you can do some pretty crazy stuff with your tune to drop PP because the model is flawed. I might cover this in another video

The bus stop track limits are DUMB. Take advantage of them!

It's a decent car, just slightly off the Mazda because of its lower top end

I've gotten them once or twice from entering the bus stop too early, but other than that it's not really an issue
Thanks. But this is just too unstable under braking for me.
Try moving the brake bias forward more. Also raising the braking sensitivity on the differential will help

I suppose it’s always a rule of thumb to get as flat a power band as possible towards the mid-high rpms given there is a power restriction?
The goal is to be at max power as long as possible, regardless of what RPM range it happens, and the power restrictor helps you achieve that

About to give this a run now that the servers are back online, apparently there is an adjustment to some of the physics with update 1.08
