Cooking temperature are too high for the food enzymes to survive. So cooking ruins vitamins and minerals and kills the enzymes. Same with Fruits and Vegetables. In their raw form, they still contain their food enzymes (assuming their still fresh, ripe), but once cooked, your body then has to do all of the work to digest it. Raw food enzymes break down their own food. Meaning, the food enzymes in an apple are there to help break it down so your body doesn't have to expend it's energy/resources to do it. This is another reason why some people look older for their age than they should. No animal out in nature cooks its food before eating it, right?

Raw egg whites have a high amount of a molecule called avidin, which very strongly binds to another molecule called biotin. Biotin is used in cells as a necessary component in the process of converting carbohydrates into usable energy. We don't need very much of it, but if you eat raw egg whites, then the avidin will bind to the biotin in your cells, causing a deficiency. This in turn will cause severe muscle cramps, hair loss, and eventually seizures.

Everything I’ve seen says you actually get _less_ protein when you eat them raw compared to eating them cooked. Specifically, the body can’t absorb the protein as easily in raw form.
It’s not about the protein; it’s about hydration and micronutrients. Cooking dehydrates the egg and denatures some of the very fragile micronutrients like choline, zinc, and magnesium.
The problem with salmonella cames mostly from people eating raw vegetables, not from raw eggs. Eating raw vegetables is more than a problem regarding salmonella. But people focus more on raw eggs.
I'm not a big brave body builder who eats raw eggs. I'm an overweight American living in Asia who eats them because I get drunk on the side of the road and like the immense energy boost you get from them. Of course not even the locals enjoy them as much as me - I think they're a little scared.
When I was a lad I ate 4 dozen eggs every morning to help me get larrgge but now that I’ve grown I eat 5 dozen eggs Sooo imm roughly theee size of a barge!
Because we're not from Japan. Americans get crap factory farm eggs that aren't safe to eat raw. There is too high of a chance of salmonella and the research backs my claim up. If I was living in Japan, then I would be eating raw eggs all the time too. That's because Japan has a way higher health standard than the US. How that answers your question on why us foreigners don't eat raw eggs.
if i remember right in USA there is higher chance of salmonella partly because the eggs have to be washed, and in that process a membrane that protects the egg gets destroyed, and thus having an elevated risk of salmonella infection. In Europe food regulations prohibit washing eggs because of reasons mentioned above. keep in mind that my research on the subject as of now is in the stage of hearing everything from some random video source that i do not remember so i might be talking 100% shit.
The issue with raw eggs isn't really the salmonella risk (though that is still very relevant). Today I made brownies with my mum. On the box it said "Do not eat mixture since it has raw eggs". But for a bit i said "no, i will not eat the mixture". So later on i realized, what's so bad about raw eggs? I ate the mixture, it was so delicious. I know your not suppose to eat the mixture when it isn't cooked, but usually i eat the left over on the spoon. Is it bad to eat a brownie mixture with raw eggs, melted butter and the brownie mixture?
Salmonella, to my knowledge, is very rare in eggs, pasteurized or not. I forget if you have more of a chance or a little less of a chance to get it from fruits and vegetables, but the chances are very close. You can eat raw eggs, guys. It really isn't harmful :/ Now, I've been trying to find the amount of risk from wild eggs, pasteurized eggs, and unpasteurized out of pure curiosity, as well as the amount of risk from fruits and veggies. Can anyone help?

I eat raw eggs purely because I want to make a protein shake. You can make a delicious protein shake by mixing protein powder, raw eggs, and milk together and it will create a tasty protein shake.
I came here because I'm scared that I didn't cook my scrambled eggs enough because in America we usually overcook them so I tried to not overcook them and they were creamy but I did add butter.
I've been added raw eggs to my morning protein shake for four years. I've never gotten sick. You body has the ability to build up resistance to bacteria. The same way that you can overcome allergies.
Auxified commercially produced eggs are treated with a solution to prevent the growth of bacteria. Do your research before you run your mouth and look like an idiot. Shockingly many people who produce their own eggs ie a backyard chicken coup, don't even refrigerate their eggs at all. So by your reasoning those people should get sick even if they cooked the eggs.
I made an egg sandwich and I guess there was raw eggs left in the eggs on it and my peripheral vision in my left eye was blurred, then there was a fuzzy/static C in my left eye, then my head started to hurt, then I started to feel very hot, then my eye hurt, I don't think I'm okay.
There wasnt any info in the video. Cooked eggs can lose essential nutrients vs raw eggs. I drink around 6-10 raw eggs per day and have had nothing but positive results. Many of our favorite foods contain raw eggs, so think about that.

It’s not about the protein; it’s about hydration and micronutrients. Cooking dehydrates the egg and denatures some of the very fragile micronutrients like choline, zinc, and magnesium.
Im not i body builder but i drink a glass of raw egg every day
Pham Tri Duc Does anything happen?Do you vomit?

Pham Tri Duc Well if nothing happens what's the point?
Timi lmfaoooo😂😂😂😂
Keep doing that, it boosts your immune system.
I feel as if eating raw eggs in a fruit smoothie mixed with protein powder allows you to pack more protein in your stomach without taking up the space
Me: *Makes scrambled eggs a bit undercooked*
Also me:
The problem with salmonella cames mostly from people eating raw vegetables, not from raw eggs. Eating raw vegetables is more than a problem regarding salmonella. But people focus more on raw eggs.
"are u a big brave body builder who eats Raw eggs" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
i was scrolling through comments and found urs, while the guy is saying that xD , perfect timing lol
awesome information, thank-you for getting the message right!
I'm not a big brave body builder who eats raw eggs. I'm an overweight American living in Asia who eats them because I get drunk on the side of the road and like the immense energy boost you get from them. Of course not even the locals enjoy them as much as me - I think they're a little scared.
Nothing wrong with raw eggs but it would be good to have them as pasture raised organic eggs to lessen the risk of salmonella.
When I was a lad I ate 4 dozen eggs every morning to help me get larrgge but now that I’ve grown I eat 5 dozen eggs Sooo imm roughly theee size of a barge!
Easier than cooking it
I love eating raw egg rice.
I'm eating raw egg rice every day.
Raw egg rice is my soul food.
I can't believe the foreigners do not eat raw egg.
HUH, you are these Chinese-types of peoples?????
if i remember right in USA there is higher chance of salmonella partly because the eggs have to be washed, and in that process a membrane that protects the egg gets destroyed, and thus having an elevated risk of salmonella infection. In Europe food regulations prohibit washing eggs because of reasons mentioned above.
keep in mind that my research on the subject as of now is in the stage of hearing everything from some random video source that i do not remember so i might be talking 100% shit.

I drinked 1 raw egg before watching this video and now I'm scared 😱
Its not gross. Just do one egg at a time. If you just swallow it *pause* you won't taste it.
TopSantii Clean pause
Rocky is the reason why I am here
The oldest person in the world a Woman that lived to 117 and just died 2 weeks ago said Her secret was to have 2 raw eggs everyday.
Her secret has no data to back it up. She must be an employee at Big Huevo
The issue with raw eggs isn't really the salmonella risk (though that is still very relevant).
Egg whites have a high amount of a molecule called avidin, which very strongly binds to another molecule called biotin.
You are very wrong my friend and need to get off the internet and actually try things in "real" life....been eating raw eggs for over 20 years with nothing but great benefits v/s cooked eggs. With raw eggs you will notice they provide a lot longer and stable blood sugar level, along with better good fat content and un-denatured protein from the cooking heat....

are u bald?
Today I made brownies with my mum. On the box it said "Do not eat mixture since it has raw eggs". But for a bit i said "no, i will not eat the mixture". So later on i realized, what's so bad about raw eggs? I ate the mixture, it was so delicious. I know your not suppose to eat the mixture when it isn't cooked, but usually i eat the left over on the spoon. Is it bad to eat a brownie mixture with raw eggs, melted butter and the brownie mixture?
Just curious are we talking Brownies or "BROWNIES"??😂😂
my grandpa is 108 years old..,. his secret? ...sucking two raw eggs through a straw daily
do they swallow the eggs or do the puncture the yolks with their tongues?
hahaha I laughed with the "spoiler you're not"
Salmonella, to my knowledge, is very rare in eggs, pasteurized or not. Can anyone help?
yep, odds of getting salmonella are so low it is ridiculous, the only reason people like to fearmonger is because the factories in the US are ridiculously inhumane, they shove chickens in tight spaces where they are constantly exposed to feces, so of course one in a few thousand will inevitably end up getting salmonella poisoning. If you are able to do some research on where you;re getting your eggs and paying a bit more for cage free eggs, it is very rare that you will get salmonella poisoning. If you are extremely unlucky salmonella is not the end of the world, you will just have explosive diarrhea and stomach ache for a few days.
You poke cats ?? 😂😂
Who can afford regular eggs these days let alone Free range or Organic eggs ??😮😮
I make money doing this at school bringing raw eggs in my lunch and having people pay me to eat them.
I'm only watching this video, because I think I didn't cook my eggs long enough.....
This guy shit on body builders so hard with that last line
I eat raw eggs purely because I want to make a protein shake. You can make a delicious protein shake by mixing protein powder, raw eggs, and milk together and it will create a tasty protein shake.
Dislikes=every person that disagree and think their smart
Likes=Knows what their watching
what is the best "Safe" way to prepare an egg to add to a shake?
Organic Raw Free Range Eggs
Watching this video after my scrambled eggs are still raw yet burnt at the same time. 🙃
My grandpa has had a cup of 2 raw eggs every morning since he was young
I came here because I'm scared that I didn't cook my scrambled eggs enough because in America we usually overcook them so I tried to not overcook them and they were creamy but I did add butter.
Me: Aight it's time to eat raw eggs after 16years, but just to make sure... (RUclips)
Me: Nvm
I eat at least 5 raw eggs a day for many years now. My hdl is >40 and total cholesterol is
I've been added raw eggs to my morning protein shake for four years. I've never gotten sick. You body has the ability to build up resistance to bacteria. The same way that you can overcome allergies.
Yah right
Good luck building up that salmonella resistance. Surviving it the first time around might be a little bit of a challenge.
Auxified Cool beans man.
Hello Ms. Bitch. How did everything turn out? I seriously doubt it was the egg
I'm questioning your egg-cellence
There wasnt any info in the video. Cooked eggs can lose essential nutrients vs raw eggs. I drink around 6-10 raw eggs per day and have had nothing but positive results. Many of our favorite foods contain raw eggs, so think about that.
You're right. Come to think of it. Why don't you and me start eating raw beef as well? Big Huevo has been lying to us this whole time! 😡
I already eat raw beef!
I eat raw chickens
heat destroys protein. This guy is not a docter for sure
I’m here cuz I can’t eat a lot and I want protein and calories fast
Is the yoke infected inside of the shell? Or, is the shell dirty and the yoke gets infected when you break it? I would have to think they are perfectly clean inside their little barrier.
google says only about 1 in every 20,000 eggs is contaminated, and that number decreases every year.
I literally just chugged a raw egg for the heck of it
*Raccoons eat raw eggs, ask them if they have any health issues* 🥚
I drink them I already had salmonella I can’t get it again
Eek. I just ate two raw eggs.. not because I'm a cool bodybuilder, but because I suck at cooking. D':
I'm a muscle maniac because this guy said it
Lol he didn't even mention vitamins or minerals. This is why people think cooking them is the same. And only sick chickens have salmonella
One answer: *SALMONELLA*
Just wash the egg shell really well and that will get rid of all the salmonella and then you can just eat it raw
