  • Would you like to strike your irons pure every time or at least learn how to hit a golf ball properly with an iron?
A number of my students this week probably had similar questions to what you have right now:
How do I stop hitting the ground behind the golf ball? How can I get ball first contact? How to hit my irons Straight? Why do many of my irons go the same distance?
    Sound Familiar
In this weeks golf instruction Im going to show in 3 simple steps how you can begin to create an effortless golf swing with your irons. It will help you hit driver straight and far too but this week I just want to focus on your iron shots.
I want to help you strike the ball first and improve your impact position so you can compress your irons and finally get that consistency that you've always wanted.

    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On RUclips and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Seeing the ball in curves what a great way of explaining it. My advice to every golfer is just to follow one coach. I was playing the driver reasonably well after watching Danny and on Monday I watched another video of a well-known coach and tried some shots the result was five balls lost and messed up the whole game. Danny's coaching is by far the best and he makes it so simple and no bla bla bla.

Only started golfing 18 months ago. Danny all your videos and simple approach to achieving better swing, strike, and all-around game have drastically improved my game. Until I came across your videos I had 4 lessons at the local range and I was at 100 strokes per round for weeks. Since following your videos I am now consistently at a high 80 and in fact, hit my best round ever last weekend 85. Thanks a million for the videos I was about to give up on golf but now I am absolutely hooked.

One other thing that might help is practice hitting the ground w/o a ball. Unless we learn to hit the ground no way to compress the ball. The feeling of hitting the ground for me is easier to achieve than just concentrating on compressing the ball

Danny your videos make so much sense. The idea of curving the ball either way is a great concept, and the fact that the professionals do it as well, especially with full shots, strengthens your point. It also improves your game as you will then be able to work the ball into any position. Great tuition, thanks Danny.

Danny, I'm an 83 year old lover of the game hell-bent on improving my game and, thanks in great part to several of your tips, I've taken 10 plus strokes off in the past 4 months or so. I have just found your suggestion of "throwing a frisbee" particularly helpful in improving my 3 wood. I think this is because the feel of throwing a frisbee has allowed me to truly just swing the club though as opposed to trying to hit the ball which is what I think I was doing. Thanks much for your great videos, you are the best at providing solutions to which we ametures can relate.

I play for 7 years now and im now 48. You helped me with your videos so much! I never understood(!) how a golf shot works. No one answered my question. Now the last weeks i tried out some of your hints. And today: TADAA - i think i got it. It was really like a Heureka Moment! I had regular good ball contacts before also with a resonable good length. But today it was the first time having a real ball-ground contact with a wow effect!
What i have to mention: for me it was helpful to use a camera to check the changes in every single session. And: now i have to change my wrong intensions and what i learned before (may in longer procedure) to get rid of it. But it looks makeable.
You are a really nice guy and Thank you so much
    Best wishes from Germany

Once again a great video Danny. Using simple motion analogies to compare with the golf swing is very helpful to me. I now have a much better understanding of swing mechanics. You’ve made a big difference in my golf game over the past few months. From overthinking and struggling with almost every shot to a more simple natural swing. I’m very grateful. Thank you.

Hi Danny, recently got back into the game after a number of years and was terrible. Slicing, topping etc. my swing was all over the place. After watching your videos and few sessions down the range it's 100% better. I managed to knock 10 shots off my score at my local club!! Can not thank you enough for your videos. Where's my tour card? lol

This is easily the best golf lesson I've been exposed to, in-person 1:1 experiences included. Completely revolutionized my approach. Of course, as you say, I "knew" what I was supposed to do but, your way of approaching it allowed me to go from very inconsistent execution to an almost sure-thing. A million thanks.

Best coach by far. Used to leave the driver (and honestly woods) in the bag till Danny’s video about relaxing the shoulders and the wrists. Duh. Now hitting driver about 200 or a bit more. Wish he (you Danny if you read this) wasn’t so far from Manchester though as I’ve got lots of golf issues to iron out.

Danny, I’m a low handicap expat living in Canada. I can’t tell you how helpful and insightful your videos are, the instruction is simple and practical. I recommend your videos to all of my Canadian friends and receive tremendous positive feedback. ( I have to explain to them what “an arc” is, as there are a few Yorkshire expressions that are lost in transition 😆) I’m now in my 60’s and as I get older I find that your instruction is of great benefit to me. I’ll book a private lesson on one of my trips home. Cheers Danny. John.

Thank you Danny, your series of videos last two weeks has helped my irons greatly! You are best on RUclips in responding to your viewers. The early weight shift to lead on downswing plus the lead leg push off are keys to great iron. Also your lag drag was great as well. You are the best overall instructor. Clear to the point to help the average struggling golfer!

Thank you Danny for all these videos. The first video I ever saw of yours was the weight transference one where you had helped your dad I thought at the time how silly it all looked, twisting the hips and swinging the arms. But amazingly it all worked when I tried it at the driving range. Since then I have watched your tips and they always help me with all the different aspects of the game. I look forward to trying out these latest drills. Once again, thanks mate, from a more consistent 12 handicapper 😀

A great idea using throwing a ball or frisbee in the swing, it's so natural. We amateurs tend to over think things when you put a golf club in our hands.
