I have to warn you that I have no formal automotive training, and have just learned by breaking stuff. If you can learn anything from my mistakes then great, but you do so at your own risk!
Thank you for this video! I found it very helpful. After watching I was brave enough to do the same repair. The foam in my seat back was split the same as your one, I copied your repair with complete success. I also fitted a £30 pair of universal arm rests, which fit really well.
Thanks 😁, that's great that you sorted it out. I'm interested in the arm rest you found, where did you get them from?
Cheers Larcs 👍
Lol I love how happy you are at the end these videos are great m8 helped me with a few things.
Thanks, glad they are of some use 😁.
Cheers Larcs 👍

Wish you were local be good to meet up with a fellow enthusiast, I’m doing a Mk7 transit (XLWB) jumbo camper at the minute but progress is slow due to physical limitations due to ill health. Once again brother, we’ll done.

Excellent job mate. If you do decide to sell the swivel base I’m your man.
Keep up the great work.
Ok thanks, I'll keep you in mind (sorry I haven't replied sooner, I'm having trouble with comment notifications).
Cheers, Larcs.
One of the main points was to find out what is the adhesive for the foam. Why are you not showing it properly?
@@martinxxxmartin I showed the actual can of glue I used at 5mins 30secs.
Loved watching along and wow what a fantastic result well done,
I Just wondered if you considered fitting a heated seat kit for winter? surely couldn't be too hard with a live feed relay switch and elements. I have the same van and there's not many luxuries I might be tempted to try this.
Thanks 😁. That's a great idea 💡. If you do, please could you tell us all how you get on?
Cheers Larcs 👍
@@LarcsWorkshop Will do 👍

Enjoyed the video, did you raise the drivers seat to match new height of passenger seat.
Sorry, I just got your comment (having problems with RUclips). I didn't raise the driver's seat, I didn't think it was worth it as it is height - adjustable anyway. Sorry again for the late reply.
Cheers Larcs 👍
I need to repair my driver's seat, what fabric did you use to bond it? And what spray glue?
The glue I used was high temperature trim-fix adhesive. The fabric I bonded to the foam was a headlining material that my wife uses for interfacing.
Cheers Larcs 👍
Nice job mate sub
Thanks 👍.
Cheers Larcs.
Dammit, the bit I wanted to see (seat removal and install), you skipped
Sorry, it's just a few bolts and seatbelt pre-tensioner plug through.
@@LarcsWorkshop all good, found one, yeah, simple, but with these (relatively) modern vehicles, sometimes just doing something out of order can result in an expensive trip to a tech.
@@1978sjt Very true 👍
wenn das normal aufgenommen wird, kann man es besser sehen🤷♂️‼️
Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean?
a new seat pad on ebay is only 40€
Thanks, I'll look out for one next time.
Cheers Larcs.
Video a bit pointless too much time laps not explaing intricate parts hog wires I watch it for disappointing
