Thank you for this video! I found it very helpful. After watching I was brave enough to do the same repair. The foam in my seat back was split the same as your one, I copied your repair with complete success. I also fitted a £30 pair of universal arm rests, which fit really well.
Good work bud. I love fashioning stuff in a bid to find solutions when working on cars I learnt a lot of my late father and at 59 I’m still learning going forward. Wish you were local be good to meet up with a fellow enthusiast, I’m doing a Mk7 transit (XLWB) jumbo camper at the minute but progress is slow due to physical limitations due to ill health. Once again brother, we’ll done.
Loved watching along and wow what a fantastic result well done, I Just wondered if you considered fitting a heated seat kit for winter? surely couldn't be too hard with a live feed relay switch and elements. I have the same van and there's not many luxuries I might be tempted to try this.
Sorry, I just got your comment (having problems with RUclips). I didn't raise the driver's seat, I didn't think it was worth it as it is height - adjustable anyway. Sorry again for the late reply. Cheers Larcs 👍
The glue I used was high temperature trim-fix adhesive. The fabric I bonded to the foam was a headlining material that my wife uses for interfacing. Cheers Larcs 👍

Enjoyed the video, did you raise the drivers seat to match new height of passenger seat.

One of the main points was to find out what is the adhesive for the foam. Why are you not showing it properly?
@@martinxxxmartin I showed the actual can of glue I used at 5mins 30secs.
I need to repair my driver's seat, what fabric did you use to bond it? And what spray glue?
The glue I used was high temperature trim-fix adhesive. The fabric I bonded to the foam was a headlining material that my wife uses for interfacing.
