Larcs I've done this to my Passat last year as well and work much better. Try to use engine flush as well that's increase engine compression. I bought set from molly. I think costs around £12.
Thanks for the reply, I have the same van high mileage, feels like it's got issues with fuel line, presume fuel filter was never changed over it's long life so going to change it following your guide, just don't want to kill the engine by accident😂, thanks
Great video, so you attach the line with liqui molly to the pump which circulates through pump and injectors, and then it goes out to the fuel tank from the injectors? Sorry I’ve not got the same vehicle mines a London Taxi, just trying to figure out how to do mine, I’ve got a fuel pipe that goes into the fuel filter which draws fuel, then once filtered via the filter the other pipe (an out) also connected to the fuel filter takes it to the pump, but I found a 3rd pipe when I was having a look at the setup, the 3rd pipe comes from the injectors and conducts to somewhere different in the engine bay, sorry if I’ve confused anyone, any help how to the purge would be great.
Thanks. That 3rd pipe returns the the unused fuel from the injectors back to the fuel tank. To get the maximum cleaning effect the moly goes into the pump through the injectors and back to the jar via the return pipe. If you have an in tank/electric fuel pump must be disabled or you'll pump fuel everywhere. Good luck sorting it out 🤞. Cheers Larcs 👍
@@LarcsWorkshop oh ok, the thing that confused me was, on my pump I have 3 ports coming of it,, 1. the supply line to the pump, 2. A port that looks like it’s connected to the supply line (on the pump) this goes or comes from injectors, 3. A 3rd port which has a fuel line plug/clip attached to it and that fuel line looks like it goes towards the back of the vehicle.
@@LarcsWorkshop think I’ve worked out the setup, did you connect the return line to the port on the pump or the pipe that comes from the injectors mate?
I have a traffic that won’t Rev past 2000/2500 , starts ok etc any ideas , I’ve changed fuel pressure regulator and the one on the common rail but no luck, it has had a new EGR valve so not likely to be that, anybody able to help me at all, no engine management lights at all, and was driving ok , but just lost power , any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
I'm not sure? Almost sound like a DPF issue if it has one? mine doesn't. Have you changed the air filter and fuel filter recently? Good luck with the repair 👍 Cheers Larcs.
@@LarcsWorkshop thanks for the reply, I have recently changed the turbo and air filter also the MAF sensor, and oil, it drove about 1000 miles after that then just lost power, it’s a 1.9 04 reg Renault trafic so was just wondering if anyone else had the same issue at any time. ‘I have also changed the EGR valve so not that I don’t think, on that subject you can buy a blanking plate for the EGR for £3.00 off eBay if anyone else was thinking of doing it, good tip for doing the back doors, never had any of them close very well on those vans, pretty rubbish design really

Can you destroy the engine by not bleeding all the air out etc?
I think it's more about keeping the diesel injection pump wet, they're not supposed to be run dry.

@@sabiya2 I connected to the low pressure pipe coming out from the injectors back to the jar.
Do you remember what size pipe you used to run the diesel purge through? I have the same job to do on a 2003 Volvo s40 with this engine
I think it was about 6mm bore? Just some hose I had laying around.

if you get black smoke from exhaust when accelerating, you can see it in your mirror, fit a new MAF sensor !
Thanks 👍
The best way to clean injectors. It only helps, if you use only the cleaner. If you fill it in tank, forget it.
Thanks 👍
