Thanks, I made a real fufu for the first time (not instant!) thanks to your video! In our house we call fufu “banana mochi” because it reminds us of the Japanese sticky rice cake. My boyfriend loves eating this. I served it with groundnut soup made with my Ethiopian spice mix (berbere) and the sweet flavour of the banana and peanut really complement the savoury and spicy taste of my groundnut soup. 💛 A tip to anyone new to making fufu, if your bananas are brown your fufu will be brown! *Laughs* The taste doesn’t change, unless the bananas are so old they’ve started fermenting, just don’t be surprised if you use older bananas and the fufu is not golden like in the video.
"Yuca" came from Spanish/Portuguese unfortunately, not African languages. It is called "cassava" or the local language's word for it in most of Africa, including Ghana. She just knows some people only know it as "yuca" so she mentioned it edit: sorry, spoke too soon, cassava is the one that came from portuguese! Yuca itself is actually from the Taino language, the indigenous people living in the Carribbean before colonisers came. Then the spanish and portuguese stole the word

Same here. Always looking foward to that introductory welcome greeting😍
Thank you so much for making the recipe available and teaching us the tricks about this amazing dish, I'm excited to try!
I have always wanted to eat FuFu. Now I can try to make my own after watching your video!
This with stewpeas is going to be heaven. Thank you!!!!!!
I will definitely try this..2nd method Where I'm from we have something similar called *funge* different process though but I'm thinking 🤔 this recipe will go well with moamba or kalulu..
Thank you 😘
Erya Bolonha aww😘💕
I’m CHamoru, so I’ve never seen cassava prepared as fufu. I’ve only ever had it as a dessert.
However, my partner’s friend shared a dish that’s to be eaten with pounded yam. I had the yam and didn’t know how to cook it!!! But your video is so informative and helpful, especially because I don’t have a mortar.
Thank you! So excited to try something new.
Awww I hope you’ll enjoy it 😘💕
My Nigerian friend made this for me when we were in college. I miss it so much!
Her voice is so satisfying to listen to. 😌
Thank you so much for showing how to do this from the natural ingredients. I’ve never tried fufu, but really want to try it sometime - may have to have a go now!

My family is from El Salvador and we also use platanos and yucca but never like this! I imagine it’s so pillowy and soft, but not sweet. I would love to see the soup recipe! I want to try to make the food of your culture ❤️
Cristy Makes you described it perfectly my Sweet❤️soup recipe coming soon 🥰✌🏽
Cristy Makes awwww
It looks like Ethiopian genfo. At the beginning of the vedio, when she said, how do you like your Fufu? I was opening my mouth for " gursha". It looks good. 😋😋😋
African foods are mostly tge same, we call that sima in kenya. You ethiopians have your soup called zigni we do also have it in kenya we call it rojo in mombasa
Wow wonderful 👍👍👍👍 l really like this video. Your work very well and you are very talented sister 🙏🙏🙏 May God bless you and all time happy your life 😊😊🙏🙏🙏
Sweet Adjeley makes cooking looks so beautiful and fun to do.
unkle tt 🙏🏽🥰Thank You
_Great_ video! Your instructions were very clear, and easy to follow (even though it was my first time making fufu☺️). I did unfortunately have to use ‘sweet-potato🍠’ instead of ‘cassava/yucca’, since it wasn’t available in stores near me, but it still turned out _perfectly_ ! *Thank* *you* !!🙃🍌🍠
Try looking for cassava in Hispanic supermarkets, we call it “yuca“
This was the easiest and I think best fufu tutorial I have seen. I have been trying to find a way that makes it simple for me.
i can't wait to try it! Thank you for sharing.
Make it on the stove like “placali”
This is awesome! Thank you for making the video. I wonder if the finished fufu can be used as dough to make empanadas or maybe if it could be deep fried to make churros. It seems like a great carb option with no processed flour :)
Oh lord... Just found this channel. This woman is amazing. Loved the recipe and the way it was presented.
Hey adjeley ,in my country (ivory Coast) we call that foutou. I have a different way of doing mine but I will most definitely try yours. 😘😘
Fatim Makiss mmm please share with me how you make yours my Sweet❤️
Fatim Makiss je viens de la côte d'ivoire moi aussi (I come from ivory coast too) show me your recipe
Thanks so much for the info. I'm going to try it out. I really like it for using everything from scratch. You got me really hungry and need some hot fufu and soup with this cold weather we are going through.
Laura Smith aww😘💕Thank You
Hello Sweet adjeley please can you name the fufu machine you used , i would love to use one for my fufu thank you, maybe the link or where i can get it from
I enjoyed watching her make this! To me the 3rd method is the best. I have seen this served at a Nigerian celebration but I did not eat it. I'll have to try it next time. It looks like fufu would take the place of our biscuits or rolls at an American meal.
When is fufu...* present madam 🙋♀️* hehehe my peanut soup is ready anyemi ✌️✌️
REALISTIC SUWEY 🤣😂lol Thanks mama
@@SweetAdjeley you welcome sis
