I have a childhood friend who grew up in Africa and one night I stayed over her house her mother made this it was so delicious and no restaurants in my area serve it so I want to learn how to make it myself. I love how food can bring people of all cultures and backgrounds together.
I'm white, but never understood why peoples were so racist toward black comunity, but as i grow old and understood life better, i figured out that the racism was just jelousy and hate, because i love so much everything black peoples do, is way more cooler and better than white peoples lol. I love their jokes, personality, they are way funnier. I was really tempted to try to make fufu, but i can't seem to do it with home stuff, i thought was some flour and water, is what someone said.
I thought the same thing. I think hers is a bit watery for my liking but all is well. I think she added as much water as she did, so it wouldn’t dry, but if you plan to eat it soon after you cook it I would add a tad less water
I assumed this was gonna be so hard to make seeing the consistency! Tryna make my nearly non-existent cooking skills a bit more adventurous, and this fufu is officially on the list!
My aunt married a Nigerian and he loves to feed everyone lol. He made this for us and I fell in love with it as a child and look forward to it every time we visit them
I kept seeing fufu and egusi soup on Instagram and every time it's looked so tasty, Im definitely going to try this out along with your other recipe to make the best dish i can!
What I really love about this dish is that these r 2 common ingredients from my own culture, puerto rican, but used in a completely different way! Can't wait to make this

I found this word fufu just recently in tiktok and got hooked into it. Its a good way to diversify your meal learning new things especially food crisis is coming.
I am from NY and moved to TX and I miss the authentic African food in Harlem. I decided to see if I was lucky to find a fufu step by step guide. I am very grateful for your content. You have no idea.
It is interesting that African-Americans from the southern United States used fingers for utensils a lot until they started moving out to other states, my mom did with certain foods. I think it is natural and a healthy way to eat, you bring back great memories, thank you
this reminds me of the way we used to eat our greens (with cornbread) we used our hands and mashed the cornbread up and picked up our greens with the cornbread just like you do with fufu. Loved this video because it shows how easy fufu is to make. thank you.
This dish has tempted me to try it for months Unfortunately there is no Nigerian or even Ethiopian restaurant near me . So I will learn to make it and to respect it , it looks so amazing I cannot wait to make for the first time! You are so beautiful ❤️
Lola , I just love the way and methods you made the fufu. It looks so easy. Love the fact you added plantain and the end result is excellent. I will be trying it out. Thanks for sharing.

The way the fufu slowly becomes more solid and sticky brings memories of when i make slimes, seeing that texture form gets me so excited bcs usually it means its working
This is so fascinating. My wife is Colombian and they use cassava and plantains for a lot of their meals. She will be so excited when I show her this. We'll definitely try it!
I love listening to you Lola ,you have such a soothing voice. I love learning a new type of cooking and your videos make it so easy. Buying these different (for me) vegetables is a challenge but I’m trying! Thank you from an English fan.😊

Thanks so much for the share of the knowledge 😘
Thank you so much. I've been experimenting with different ways to make it. This looks much easier than the way I was taught. That soup looks good too, and I really like your presentation. I gotta try this.
Hey Chef Lola! Thank you so much. Made fufu yesterday with the microwave and it was perfect! Didnt know it can be made that easy. Wow! Thanks a lot! 😊😊
I always thought it was mixture of rice with potato and this looks delicious. I can see myself eating fufu as a side dish for steak, grilled fish, with stew

I put the yuca to my chicken stew and meat stew(cocido de res), I've also tried the cuban style with mojo. And yuca arepas, they are so delicious. Plantain arepas also rellenas de pollo y queso or beans.
Thank you for sharing your recipe with us. I’ve never actually had fufu but I’m looking forward to making it for my family. Have you ever tasted Cuban fufu?? Or Dominican mangu?? Or Puerto Rican mofongo?? I really think you might enjoy it!! You’ll be able to see where the roots of these other dishes came from, FUFU!! I love the way food makes the world smaller and more familiar. Really appreciate you sharing your food. I’ve watched a few different fufu recipe videos and this one looked the best to me!! Am I correct in inferring that fufu is usually not salted or flavored because Nigerian dishes can be quite spicy?? So the plain fufu helps to balance the meal??
Hi, thank you so much for sharing fufu in the easiest way, i will make this and share this recipe to my Indian viewers, so that thay will also enjoy this recipe too, Neha's Unique kitchen.
