This is a great video. But if freon recharge alone held for 2 years and the leak is no worse now than before, it may be quite some time until you know if it's fixed. Seriously, with a freon charge holding for 2 years, you can just add a can of freon every 2 years. Right?
Thanks. Curious about your symptom. I know you had the compressor stopping and starting. Did you notice if your fan controls stopped working also? I have a 1999 town car and my AC is intermittent. Starts out OK when, then stops blowing. I started car up the next day repeat. I'm not sure if the blowing is tied to the compressor wiring or independent. Great Vid. Will try this and see if helps, but curious about the blower.
Correct but it really depends upon the overall worth of the car. For a car of little value it is worth a shot. For something of value - no - fix it correctly!
Haha!, you must be a mechanic, if $20 worth of material fixes this for even one year you are way ahead of the game, at $100-$150 per hour for mechanic fees plus God knows what for parts, I would choose this any day, i’ve done the same with radiator stop leak, and once even fixed the head gasket leak in a car that wasn’t worth much, it lasted two years that way.😊
You are so correct, with vintage cars make every effort to fix all yourself.

Nice town car! Congratulations!
Thank you!
I got a 2011 town car I’m gonna try this for my AC that’s not working very well. 😊

@I can fix that. Where is the wiper tube hose located on a 2004 Ford Lincoln? I cannot find the locator to connect it back on ? Can you help😢

are you sure only one can is needed?
great job!
I only need one to go into the green on the freon gage. Yours may take 2. Thank for the comment.

A/C shops won't work on a vehicle that has had that put In the system.
Three dollars for a can of 134a? How old is this video?
I fixed my whole Town Car with a 99 cent BIC lighter.
By the way, it’s not Freon anymore
that's a foolish way of fixing it. Dont be a cheap and fix it the right way.
